The Dajorra Confederacy is the name of the reorganized system-spanning government that unites the most prominent local powers within the Dajorra System in a parliamentary-style democracy.
Brief History:
As a reaction to the devastating attacks unleashed on the system (and many other Brotherhood territories), the various political entities present within Dajorra came together in 22 ABY to draft and sign the Doto Accords, the founding document of what was then called the Kaedean Confederation orchestrated by Mejas Doto. Originally, the Confederacy consisted of four major entities: the Commonwealth of Eldar, the Commonwealth of Selen, the Freeholders' Assembly and the Trustees' Committee. Both Commonwealths signed several concessions to the Trustees in exchange for a permanent defense contract.
Historically, the Confederacy was an autocracy in all but name only, presenting itself to the wider galaxy as a parliamentary-style democracy while the Arconan summit with the Shadow Lord at its head ruled the system and all within it. However, events over the recent public conflicts with The Pretender War and several other instances had tested Arcona’s secrecy as a shadow government and added fuel to the old fable of Force-users among the Arconan Armed Forces and Confederacy. After the Battle of Brimstone in 42ABY, there was no denying those claims and fear was rampant among Selenians after the False Gods’ assaults.
A call for change and responsibility, Arcona finally stepped out from the shadows into transparency in 42 ABY after a couple years of progressive action, lead by then Consul Zuza Lottson and Proconsul Diyrian "Diy" Grivna. Working alongside the other local governments and organizations, sweeping changes have been made to Confederacy’s laws to place more power in the hands of its constituent political entities. The Kaedean Confederacy was officially renamed to the Dajorran Confederacy after a couple years of being referred to as such.
Government Organization and Politics
The Dajorran Confederacy is split into several branches of governance. On the planetary scale, the Commonwealths are allowed to govern themselves in matters of local concern such as public safety, public health, criminal justice, and so on. The Freeholders’ Assembly meanwhile is a collective parliament body focused on similar concerns on the system-wide scale and handles diplomatic relations for the Confederacy. The Trustees Committee, in addition to maintaining a system defense force and orchestrating further governmental reform, can veto any action made by either Commonwealth or the Freeholder’s Assembly at any level of government and set statutes in place that affect the Confederacy as a whole with a simple majority vote. Only action dictated by simple majority vote from the executive branch of the affected Commonwealth (one or both depending on the issue) and a super majority vote from the Freeholders Assembly can overcome a Trustees veto or statute.

Board of Directors
Maintaining less legislative power than the Commonwealths, the Board of Directors still hold a significant influence with being the lifeline to much of the System’s commerce. The Directors are elected representatives for the various corporations operating in Dajorra, including but not limited to:
Although nothing definitively proven, it is reasoned that the Supervisor of Naruba City has heavy connections with the Board of Directors. Many of these corporations remain as fronts for Clan Arcona’s finances and operations.
