Sitting deep in the Shadowlands of Adas, the Trumvirate Library, in an ancient structure only recently discovered by the Krath archaeologists of the Dark Brotherhood. Though the outside lay mainly in ruins, the inner structures were preserved, providing the Brotherhood with a veritable treasure trove of ancient books, scrolls, and artifacts.

History

The exact age of the library is unknown and many speculate that, while it is today called the Triumvirate Library, its original purpose may have been entirely different. This theory is bolstered by the presences of multiple secret passages linking it to other parts of Antei, including Temple Boyna. Regardless, the location appears to have been used by the Triumvirate, most likely Tiamat, as a library and study hall. In the Brotherhood's history, the library has only featured prominently in three events: the initial discovery, the Ninth Great Jedi War, the Disorder between the Orders.

The discovery of the library was triggered by the discovering of an ancient stone archway. This led to a long descending staircase that led into a large domed room. The room held immense book cases overflowing with books, scrolls, and assorted other items. The Krath High Priestess and the Headmaster of the Shadow Academy had the room emptied. Exactly what happened to all the items remains a mystery, as any catalog remains hidden. Some items, those easily translated and deemed safe for general study, were given to the Dark Vault. The remaining items were stored away for further study under the watchful eyes of the Star Chamber.

War and Disorder

During the retaking on Antei, the Triumvirate Library became a battle ground between the forces of Omancor Crask and the Brotherhood, specifically the forces of Clan Taldryan. Though Taldryan drove the enemy forces from the library, it was not without a great struggle, and much of the existing structure was damaged.

The division of the contents of the library, however, left an opening for Michael Halcyon to cause disruptions within the Brotherhood. Seizing upon the fact that Grand Master Muz Ashen had spent a great deal of time studying some of the holocrons, Halcyon sowed discord amongst the Brotherhood, causing the three Orders to fight each other in a three way battle.

The Krath, led by Muz, established themselves at the site of the Triumvirate Library, utilizing skills and techniques learned from the holocrons to bolster their ranks. Through the Rite of Exaltation, some Krath were temporarily given powers on par with elders and higher, and ancient Krath sorcery was utilized for creating war beasts. Using this to their advantage, the Krath held their position against the Sith forces as well as the Obelisk, who had discovered the secret tunnels leading from Temple Boyna to the library.

The conflict ultimately ended when Jac Cotelin discovered the interference of Michael Halcyon and stopped the fighting.

Current Situation

The Triumvirate Library still exists, though it has not been rebuilt at this time. The ancient structure barely withstood two rounds of fierce fighting. With much of the documents and holocrons held elsewhere, the ruins of the structure serve no real purpose. At this time, there is no known plan for rebuilding the structure.
