Character History
Salth Khan was born on the thirtieth day of the ninth standard month, in the year 15 BBY. His birthplace was the planet Corellia, the capital planet of the Corellian System, which comprises the worlds of the "Five Brothers" within the Corellian Sector. The family plantation has existed for generations 90 km South of the capital city Coronet, and has provided agricultural products to the native population for more than 500 years. Salth is the youngest of 7 children born to Jacah and Milrial Khan, but at an early age was discovered to have abilities that superseded his elder siblings.

Schooling for the Khan children generally began at the ages of 6–8 years, however in Salth's case the youngster had begun to show an aptitude for reading and math by the age of four. Due to his early abilities his father spared no expense to hire the most qualified tutors and educators. During his formative years of learning Salth was also taught the essential nature of what it meant to be of wealth and power within Corellian society. He often found these lessons to be the most difficult and boring since he believed even at these early years that those with the power shouldn't have to be concerned with what those of lesser stature thought or believed.
The foundations for Salth's journey to the Dark Side began during these formative years, yet it wouldn't be until his teen years that his true powers and beliefs in the nature of the galaxy and the Force would truly begin to surface.

Much of this time in Salth's history is fragmented and incomplete. Between outlandish rumors and sealed records, there simply isn't much to go on. It is known that with the discovery of his sensitivity to the force, he left behind his home and sought his own destiny. It's suspected that his hatred for the Jedi came from this time period; however the specific events could never be substantiated. There are records of his acceptance to the Shadow Academy not long after it opened, as well as his completion of the Knighthood trials - but the details on both have been mysteriously redacted. Eventually Salth found himself wanting more, and being aware that the Dark Brotherhood could no longer provide him with the answers or training he wanted, he left the Order to roam the galaxy in search of the answers he sought.

Shadow Salth
After several years wandering the galaxy looking for answers, Salth Khan returned to the Dark Brotherhood. At first he was treated as both an outcast and a spy of the Dark Brotherhood and Emperor's Hammer, but soon he was able to prove his loyalty to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. It wasn't long before his hunger for the dark powers emerged anew, and through the ancient scrolls and holocrons of the Brotherhood, Salth was able to discover the secrets he had searched for so many years.
Through careful and exhausting training, Salth learned how to keep his powers in check, requiring him to exert a great deal of control in order to ensure that the powers didn't run unbounded. The level of control required did have a positive effect though, it enabled him to have greater control and power over other Force attributes. As a Sith Battlelord, Salth Khan was feared by many, but had found his place within the galaxy.
For a period of time he served as an Envoy for House Exar Kun, until he was called upon to help lead Clan Plagueis into a new era of prosperity as its Proconsul. Eventually other matters would draw his attention, but he presently holds the record as the longest serving Proconsul in the history of Clan Plagueis. Serving alongside the then Consul, Dark Jedi Master Aristan Dantes, Salth learned an even greater control of the Force, as well as even deeper secrets and knowledge of the Sith and the Dark Side. He served as the Nightmaster of Clan Plagueis on the Council of the Wise, where he commanded the fleets of Clan Plagueis, and also served as an advisor to the Summits of Clan Plagueis. For a time he also served as the Chief of Security for the Sistros Acquisitions and Holdings, a civilian front corporation for Clan Plagueis.
After a time Salth found that the Clan he had such loyalty for was moving in another direction, and that the younger brethren rising through the ranks had no time for ancient teachings and knowledge. He left Clan Plagueis for the darkest parts of the galaxy, and after a year returned more focused than he had ever been before. Shortly after his return to Clan Plagueis he discovered a Clan in disarray, internal fighting and bickering were the politics of the days. Grand Master Sarin initiated the appointment of a new Consul, Krath Pontifex Braecen Kaeth. Although the two had had their share of disagreements in the past, Pontifex Kaeth sought out the wisdom of Salth, as well as other Elders and Equites within the Clan who's knowledge and insights had been ignored for too long. A new era was beginning for Clan Plagueis, and Khan was prepared to do whatever was necessary to ensure that the Clan of Plagueis remained strong and ready for whatever challenges the galaxy through their way.
