|
John "Dial" Mactavish was a Captain in the Dlarit Special Operations Group, and was charged with the oversight of the reconstruction of the Alabrek Castle and the city of Kar Alabrek. Mactavish was handpicked for the Special Operations Group and fought for distinction and honor during the Invasion of Orian while proving his skill against the Yuuzhan Vong. Mactavish has stunned many of his comrades and superiors with his strong-headedness and incredibly ability to perserve in the face of death.
History
Imperial Career
Fresh and bright eyed out of the Academy, Mactavish fought for the Imperial Remnant as one of their numerous Stormtroopers for several years before growing disdain and tension with the Empire began to weaken his loyalty and will to fight. After several failed missions and reprimands for striking a ranking officer, Mactavish received an honourable discharge from the Stormtrooper Corps as a Sergeant and left Imperial Space seeking a new place to call home.
Dlarit Officer
Arriving in the Phare system, Mactavish joined the forces of the Dlarit Corporation as a member of their armed forces, his previous record and honourable discharge from the Stormtrooper Corps allowing him to join Dlarit as a Sergeant once again. He fought alongside many strong members of Dlarit as a common foot soldier and a stunning leader. During the Battle of Antei, Mactavish was one of many members of the Dlarit Security Force to become aware of the truth that their leaders were Dark Jedi; by this point his skills in combat had already garnered much attention and helped promote him to the rank of Lieutenant following some Officers training. In the months that passed after the Battle of Antei, Mactavish worked closely with some of his superiors in preparation for the coming changes.
Special Operations
Quickly moved from traditional active duty, Mactavish was one of the front-runners for the Special Operations Group upon its inception. His work for the Special Operations group took much notice, specifically during the Invasion of Orian. For his actions again the Yuuzhan Vong and the True Brotherhood, Mactavish found himself promoted to the rank of Captain and was stationed at Kar Alabrek as its commanding officer. Once at Kar Alabrek, his mission was clear: oversee the reconstruction of the city and Alabrek Castle while defending the Great Sadow Library at all costs. His mission became complicated in 33 ABY when the city fell under siege by an unknown enemy.

Mactavish is known for his strong-headedness and his ability to lead without question. He has proven his distinction in combat and like many soldiers of the era has a strong hatred for the Vong. Handpicked for the Special Operations Group for his skills in combat and his loyalty to the Dlarit Corporation, Mactavish has time and time again proven his skill and ferocity in combat as well as his resilance and unique ability to cheat death even with severe injuries.
