Growing up in the Matriarchal society of Hapan can be tough for the typical male child. Marick never talks about his life before the Brotherhood, but after turning 18 years of age it was discovered that Marick had a connection with the force. This sparked a plan within his mother and a few other Consortium members who still held scorn for the Jedi Order. They would send Marick off to train as a Dark Jedi in the Brotherhood to return home as their very own tool against the Jedi.

The son of popular Consortium member Angelica Del'Abbot, Marick was handsome as far as Humans went and was naturally gifted at anything he tried. He worked hard in school and in the training grounds, making sure he was the top of every class, which where dominated by women of course. He knew that one slip up and he could lose everything he had worked for. The few boys who made it into the school looked up to him as a role model for breaking the feminist stereotypes laid upon their entire gender.
Marick was excited to get a chance to see the world outside of his home world, and had to learn quickly about the rest of the universe. Upon his arrival, it didn't take long for Marick to realize that he was no longer in the isolated Hapes cluster. He learned his place shortly after beginning his training, suddenly not naturally the best at everything. There were students from all over the galaxy, all of which seemed to be darker versions of himself, all equally talented.

Prominently friends with all girls, it drove Marick silently insane always having to listen to their gossip, schemes, and blatant elitism. Only one seemed to break away from the norm, which was probably the reason he was attracted to her and her alone. Amber hated Marick at first, and the two constantly competed with one another. Amber kept a cold aura about her as protection, but over time, Marick was able to see through it, and started to develop feelings for her. It took a long time and many trials, but eventually Marick was able to win her heart.
One of the higher-ups in Arcona took notice to him, no doubt at the request or the doing of his mother's influence, and had him bounced back and forth between houses before settling down into House Qel-Droma, and being assigned into Prophecy Phyle to study under the Archpriest-Tetrarch, Arcturus Xyler. After learning what he could from his master, the Tetrarch took off to pursue his own goals, leaving Marick to fend for himself. The young Hapan was made second in command of Prophecy Phyle while his companion Kant Lavar took over leadership. Prophecy Phyle soon became known as Oblivion Brigade, and although he no longer had a master Marick was selected to succeed Kant as Battleteam Leader of Oblivion Brigade.

Not having a father, Marick spent as much time as he could with Allister, a retired bodyguard for the Consortium. Allister was one of the few males in Hapan that was universally respected after taking a blaster bolt for one of the members of the Consortium in an assassination attempt by another family. Allister told him stories of epic battles, fearless warriors in battle, and showed him techniques and maneuvers that the female instructors wouldn't teach him for fear of letting him shoot too far ahead of their prized girls.

Marick was excited to get a chance to see the world outside of his home world, but at the same time had been milling over the thought of asking Amber to marry him. Marick Del'Abbot is the Quaestor of House Qel-Droma. He also serves as the Commissioner of the [[Arcona Contract Bureau]. Former Captain of Oblivion Brigade. He is Master to Amber Amnell and Khaer Sordar.

Appearance / Apparel

Handsome by most races standards, Marick is tall and trim with a strong, slightly characterized jaw. His eyes are a vibrant blue and sit beneath a mane of shoulder length, jet-black hair that parts somewhat to either side of his face. A natural athlete, his muscles are toned nicely and proportionate to his body, giving him a harmonic, elegant flow to his movements whether it be in combat or in every day life.

Marick is rarely seen outside of his Oblivion Spectre Armor. He is easily distinguished by his sleeveless white robes bearing the Arcona symbol embroidered in black on the back.

 • He has also been seen undercover in formal Hapan Noble suits.
 • Can often be seen wearing more conventional black traveling cloaks with hoods.

Character History

Growing up in the Matriarchal society of Hapan can be tough for the typical male child. Marick never talks about his life before the Brotherhood, but after turning 18 years of age it was discovered that Marick had a connection with the force. This sparked a plan within his mother and a few other Consortium members who still held scorn for the Jedi Order. They would send Marick off to train as a Dark Jedi in the Brotherhood to return home as their very own tool against the Jedi.

He has personally taken the reins of Oblivion and is remolding it to better suit his new teams specialties while continuing on his own path for personal growth. By the time of it's closing, Oblivion had become a feared name in the brotherhood, and is said to even rival Soulfire Strike Team.

With the re-clanning of Clan Arcona, Marick was selected by the upper summit to lead House Qel-Droma as Queastor.

Marick first studied combat tactics under the eye of Arcturus Xyler until his trails to become a Guardian. When Arcturus left the brotherhood for personal reasons, Marick was left without a master to guide him on his trials to become a Dark Jedi Knight. It was during this time he began to spar with Sashar Arconae, which heavily influenced his decisions to use a shoto as his hilt of choice. After being named leader of Oblivion Brigade, Marick found himself paired up with the renowned Timeros Caesus Entar Arconae. While the two shaped the current state of Oblivion Brigade, Timeros acted as both a guide and mentor to the young Hapan. Timeros helped Marick with his control over the Force, as well as his footwork and saber prowess. Marick often draws comparisons to his mentor. He still spars with Sashar as he works on honing his Soresu technique.

Marick is a tactician that ultimately prides himself on always having a plan. While intellectually more akin to a Krath, he finds himself more attuned to the path of an Obelisk, focusing his training on his physical skills, abilities, and swordsmanship. Quick and nimble, Marick utilizes his ambidexterity and coordination in employing a highly precise fighting style that can switch from defense to offense in the blink of an eye. Since reaching the rank of Dark Jedi Knight he has mastered the Makashi duelist form and is now focusing on the more refined art of Sorseu. Marick generally fights using his custom shoto saber, Raika, in conjunction with a small bladed weapon or the open hand. He does not like to let fights drag on, and prefers to end things as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Highly competitive, he thrives on the challenge of his opponents, always keeping his eye on the prize and coming out victorious. When facing a woman in combat, however, his competitive drive increases twofold. He is very proud and radiates confidence which can sometimes come off unintentionally as arrogance. Despite this, he has a strong sense of morality in his actions, and hasn't been known to kill without reason, electing usually to incapacitate his opponents rather than kill them. However, since his defeat on the battle field during the Right of Strength, the lines between good and evil have become grey and less defined. Every step he takes leads him down a darker road.

His role as Battleteam Leader of Arcona's Black Ops (Oblivion Brigade) also seem's to be taking it's tole on his personality and demeanor. Information and deception are now his strongest weapons, as is his ability to analyze and apply them in real-time action.

He has taken on his first true apprentice in his newest member Amber Amnell who also happens to be his fiance.
