The Firefox-class shares a hull configuration with the smaller Gladiator-class, save scaled up by nearly two-thirds. The large bridge tower houses the majority of the ships systems, leaving a large portion of the main hull devoted to supporting starfighter operations. The Firefox is characterized by the large central hangar opening in the bow that bisects the main hull. Unlike other Star Destroyer designs, the hangar is located directly forward to facilitate the deployment of starfighters directly into combat quickly. Also, unlike the hangars on other destroyer designs, the Firefox-class has a system of large blast doors that can fully secure the hangar deck to space.

Unlike most Star Destroyers, the Firefox-class has a large fighter command center located at the forward dorsal position on the command tower. This large command and control deck houses the position normally dedicated to the bridge on other designs. The Firefox bridge on the other hand is located above and slightly aft of the starfighter command center on the command tower.

Offensive and Defensive Systems
While not being a ship of massive firepower the Firefox comes into its own in a unique way, managing to hold enough weapons to stave off attacks it also is able to launch two wings of fighters onto opponents, hitting them with a mixture of fighters and bombers making it able to adapt to any situation that arises. At the same time the ship has enough firepower that it can fight from long range and at close range, often being able to hold its own against Imperial Class Star Destroys and fight out of any situation that it comes across.
Unlike the Imperial Escort Carrier, the Firefox-class is a capable capital ship and not merely a platform for the launch and operation of starfighters. Armed with heavy turbolasers for use against larger capital ships and smaller weapons for use against smaller targets, the Firefox is able to engage other ships directly. Its armament is light for a ship of its size class, however, and so the Firefox is usually outclassed when engaging vessels of similar size one on one.

To combat this, the Firefox-class has engines far larger than any other ship in its class, allowing it to disengage from combat if necessary. Taken from the far larger Imperial-class, a pair of Destroyer-I ion engines provide the engine power for the vessel. This gives the Firefox-class very high sublight speeds, outclassed only by the Carrack-class light cruiser. The larger engines also give the class a very high power to weight ratio, affording acceleration unmatched by other large capital starships. The flexibility of speed affords the Firefox design the ability to catch those enemy vessels that can be defeated while running from those that cannot.
Role in the Warhost Navy
In addition to the standard loadout, the Final Way has been retrofitted with 4 long-range Turbolasers.
The Final Way's role in the Warhost is to serve as the fleet's primary starfighter platform. Though there are four other capital ships that can carry enough to be considered fleet carriers, the Final Way carries double what the nearest other ship is capable of. This carrier also serves as the primary starfighter repair and maintenance location of the Warhost's starfighters. In conflict, the Final Way is kept well away from battles. It will typically take up a position one system removed from the conflict zone, or at a centralized point. From here, it's fighters will make short hyperspace jumps to their destinations, whether that be one battle or several. Due to Warhost navy doctrine, every fighter regularly embarked on the Final Way is hyperspace capable.  As such, they fullfill a variety of roles, from targeting convoys to supporting other Warhost capital ships in fleet engagements.

Complement
In peace time, the Final Way typically resides in an undisclosed location within the Orian System, far from any space lane or world. It will make frequent micro-jumps around the system. New pilots are often shipped to the Final Way for further training.
The main weapon of the Firefox carrier come in the form of the 144 starfighters carried in its hangar. A flight deck that extends well back from the ship’s bow allows those fighters to be launched in quick succession, with starfighters being staged along the main deck and able to launch to space as soon as those ahead of them have exited the bay. The Firefox-class also has extensive support facilities for starfighter maintenance and repair.

Unlike most other large capital starships, the Firefox-class only carries the bare minimum of embarked troops. These forces are limited to a contingent of trained marines to resist any possible boarding actions. As a consequence, the Firefox only supports two shuttles that are charged with crew transfers and pilot rescue and recovery.

Verpine Quarters
Further in the ship exists a hive-like network for the Verpine that serve on board the vessel. These honeycombed areas are not off-limits to regular personnel, but they are rarely traversed without specific intention.

The Final Way was built in secret by the Iron Throne at Lord Ashen's wishes. When much of the Sadowan fleet was lost at the end of the Horizons conflict, the ship was delivered to Naga Sadow as both a reward for standing with another unit of the Brotherhood, and with a directive: to not lose this new acquisition or suffer the consequences. As such, the Final Way became the basis for a new strategic doctrine among the Sadowan fleet commanders, emphasizing precision strikes and fighter operations and avoiding serious, close engagements. According to this doctrine, the Final Way has always been kept far from battle lines and equipped with hyperspace capable starfighters.
