"Oriens Coactum - The Rising Force"
― Blue Mist motto

A Battle Team within House Galeres of Clan Arcona

History

Blue Mist is a fairly new Battleteam, created to serve Galeres around the time that the Dark Inquisitors, a House Qel-Droma Battleteam, was installed within Clan Arcona. Blue Mist is the second Battle Team for House Galeres, the other being Soulfire Strike Team, the Elite Team of Arcona. The team is still new but is on the rise.

The Crest of Blue Mist

This section is currently beind editied

The crest of Blue Mist is made up of three key parts. The Wings, the Cogs, and the Sword. Each part is explained in detail below.

The Wings of the Crest

The Wings symbolize the Blue Mist as a rising Battleteam. Blue Mist is a new and fairly unknown Team but they are on the rise within Galeres and Arcona.

The Cogs of the Crest

The Cogs repersent the important parts that each Trooper plays in Blue Mist. Blue Mist stands as one and each Trooper has his or her own voice in matters concering the Battleteam. This is why the Cogs are located in the center of the Crest.

The Sword of the Crest

Located at the top of the Crest, the Sword repersents the loyalty to both Galeres and Arcona and danger that is posed to anyone who opposes the Clan. The Sword also repersents the strength of the Battleteam. These are the reasons that the Sword is located at the peak of the Crest. Arcona comes first...Blue Mist comes after.

Campaigns

Past

Cian Campaign

The first mission of Battleteam Blue Mist under the command of Commander Talos Annedu.

Results: Commander was injured; No men killed in action; Campaign successful.

Broken Saber

Clan responds to Soulfire Strike Teams distress call on the planet of Reecee. Longest campaign of Blue Mist with no substantial injuries. Final results are unknown but extraction of Soulfire and their mission objective was confirmed.

House Feud

Galeres and Qel-Droma battle for the title of First House. Galeres triumphs and is named first House. Two of Blue Mist men, Talos and Legorii, earn places in the Galeres Troika. Talos as the Adjunct and Legorii as the Prodigy.

Results: No men injured or killed; Trooper Illian Syn shot down.

Present

Ylesian Twilight

Results: None to note as of yet

Future

Nothing confirmed but rumors show that certain cults may be pooling their resources and may pose a threat to Galeres but this is yet unconfirmed.

Tactics

Blue Mist displays many combat tactics in battle and while they may not be as special-forces oriented like Soulfire, they still prove deadly. Some of the common tactics are listed below.

Run-and-gun

As the name states, this is a pure offensive move and is used for fast 'skirmishes' and for providing cover-fire.

Ghost-Fire

This is also a pretty self-explanatory manoveur. This is usually used by a sharpshooter for the Battleteam and the purpose of this is to provide pure cover-fire. Usually this is used for surprise attacks, distracting the enemies while the rest runs in. The requirment of a 'Ghost' is to be able to have true aim, fire quickly and be able to move quickly and set up again equally fast.

Kad Kar'ta

This tactic is in full Mando'a and means 'Saber Heart'. This is for ground combat only and no blasters are used only mele`e weapons such as beskads, lightsaber, vibro-weapons and such. This tactic is usually used to punch through the front lines and do massive damage.

Jet-Trooper

However awesome it would be, Blue Mist was denied jet-packs for the time being. This refers to a pair of Blue Mist Troopers utilizing the Force in an extreme manuover. One cups his hands as if to give the other Trooper a boost and that is exactly what happens. The 'jet-trooper' sprints towards the booster and step up into the cupped hands and jumps as the booster lifts his hands to throw him with the aide of the force. The first time this move was enacted was between Dark Jedi Knight Illian Syn, who was the 'jet-trooper' and Commander Talos Annedu, the booster, in the final battle of the House Feud that ended recently.

*Section under construction Blue Mist has several sets of armor, each one different. These sets are awarded to members who are active, dedicated and show true merit. They are divided into six levels.

Weaponry

Standard issue weaponry for Blue Mist is the WESTAR-M5 blaster rifle. This rifle earned its deadly reputations during the Clone Wars, it being the a common weapon used by Clone Commanders. The rifle can be fitted with a variety of attachments and set for either burst, semi-automatic or full automatic fire types. The standard issue hand-weapon was the DC-17 light repeating blaster pistol (which also saw action in the Clone Wars). The Commander has two of these pistols while the regular Troopers have one. It is noted that any Trooper is welcome to try and use two pistols but the second one must be bought seperate and trained with in the Troopers spare time. The men of Blue Mist also carry an astortment of grenades including, frags, EMPS, and sonics.

Gadgets

The Battleteam also carries simple gadgets for use in operations. They include, but are not limited to, grapples lines, med packs, analyzers and det-packs.

Vehicles of Blue Mist

Space

File:BM-A-9.jpg
The Blue Mist A-9 Interceptor

Blue Mist was given twelve upgraded A-9 Vigilance Interceptors to use in space battles. Only seven of these are currently in commission. Simple cockpit controls makes the A-9 an easy fighter to learn. While faster than the TIE Interceptor, it has a weaker hull due to deliberate design choices made to reduce mass. Thanks to independent power generators, however, the weapons system is quite powerful for a ship of its size.

The A-9 is armed with two laser cannons, mounted in a structure on the ventral side of the fuselage. They are fire-linked and aimed forward in their standard configuration, but several modifications exist which allows the gun to pivot 90 degrees down to perform strafing runs, as well as allowing the cannons to be independently targeted. These cannons are more powerful than those of a T-65 X-wing starfighter, which has also come as a surprise to most enemies fighting this little, yet powerful ship. And in the hands of a Dark Jedi, it is a force to be reckoned with.

Ground

The Blue Mist Speederbike

The Battleteam was given twelve Aratech speederbikes for when the Calvary takes to the ground. As with the A-9s, only seven of these are currently in use. They are capable of reaching speeds up to and beyond five hundred kilometers per hour, and have a flight ceiling of twenty-five meters. They are controlled by handlebars located towards the front of the vehicle, and foot pedals slung underneath adjusted speed and altitude.

The highly maneuverable vehicles are equipped with sensor and communications devices located between the handlebars, including a comlink-jamming device. They are armed with a forward rotating blaster cannon for combat.

They were also equipped with a very powerful boost that could propel them over vast distances in a shorter amount of time.

Base of Operations

The new Battleteam does not have a base to call their own at the moment. However, Blue Mist currently occupies the House Galeres flagship BAC Darkest Night along with the rest of the House. The Team docks their ships within the wide hangar and they have their own set of barracks and conference room as well as a small lounge that they have converted into an armory. Finally a small room off the armory serves as Commander Talos's personal office. Blue Mist is currently in the market for a new base with the help of Quaestor Rho d'Tana.
