Potential Featured Articles

List an article and note any fixes that would need to be made by the creator before it can become a Featured Article. After adding the article to the list, contact the creator and notify him/her that their article has the potential to be Featured with some minor tweaks.

Any article listed under Category:Written with AI Assistance‎ or found to have been written by AI is immediately disqualified from nomination.

  1. Nominating Rasilvenaira StormRaven. It needs more links, images, and some general refinements, but it is very comprehensive and well put together. Some general fixes could easily push it into being featured.
  2. Nominating Sanguis Caldiren. It requires some general fixes such as more images but is close to being viable.
  3. Nominating Ashura Isradia Sadow due to some significant fixes and general improvements. The only need for improvement is the lack of images and the presence of trivia sections. Tarvitz (talk) 19:31, 8 October 2025 (UTC)
  4. Nominating Syrena Valkar for consideration. It's got a good amount of history and description and several high quality images created by DB members. It might need some formatting assistance though. Alethia Archenksova (talk) 16:50, 1 August 2025 (UTC)
  5. Nominating Invicta as it's an older article, but it does an exceptional job of using image, detailing its history, and covering a lot of information without being bogged down in core details. Nikora Rhan (talk) 22:50, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
    1. CON: Some minor updates detailing the ship's final fate are required.
  6. Nominating Lan as an article with good bones. Mostly it needs images, ideally some more current bits, and technically it shouldn't have a trivia section. Alethia Archenksova (talk) 13:48, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
  7. Nominating Seasons due to its importance in upcoming DB events. It probably needs a check or two to ensure it's comprehensive and well written, and it should really have some sort of graphic. Alethia Archenksova (talk) 19:25, 21 January 2025 (UTC)
  8. Nominating The Viper Fang, with the only concern being its extremely short history and lack of eras. Essik Lyccane (talk) 21:55, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
    1. Added eras template Alethia Archenksova (talk) 20:40, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
    2. A note to the above, originally this was being held off as the article did not cover its destruction. However, this has since been retconned by its own creator. Nikora Rhan (talk) 13:06, 20 July 2025 (UTC)
  9. Nominating The "Flamboyant" Mercorn MKII due to the detail, good use of imagery, and deck plans, but with the problem of the member now having joined the Rogues and the absence of some minor information required, such as eras. Essik Lyccane (talk) 21:55, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
    1. Yeah, this one might linger on the list for a while. I don't mind giving a DSS to a rogue but he should serve out his probation first given the nature of his CoJ convication. Alethia Archenksova (talk) 20:40, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
  10. Agron Dyrce has been coming along. Alethia Archenksova (talk) 21:08, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
    1. Needs images in the body to break up the text. Alethia Archenksova (talk) 21:08, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
    2. Could use some more linking further down. This might be a time thing, as in Agron just needs more time to develop character history and interactions. Alethia Archenksova (talk) 21:08, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
  11. Nora mentioned Selika Roh in chat--kind of surprised it wasn't featured in the past. It hasn't had a real update since 2020 but a little spring cleaning could get it there. Alethia Archenksova (talk) 17:57, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
  12. Reiden Karr needs to be completed so it can be reconsidered for nomination again. Bentre (talk) 01:58, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
    1. CON: Section Darkness Elevated (34 ABY) needs completed
    2. CON: Section Collective Assault & A New Legacy (35 ABY) needs completed
  13. Rian Taldrya at a glance might make the makings of a featured page.
    1. CON: Slight expansion of the childhood section would strengthen this page.
    2. CON: "Something about Rian having a hard time as teenager on a mandalorian military academy while being a half-breed." in the Teen Years section needs to be expanded/completed.
    3. CON: Rule of Tyranny needs expanded
    4. CON: tone and greater interlinking need addressed
    5. if the above are addressed or otherwise remedied the page can be considered for Feature.
    6. It's got good bones but it's pretty dated. Alethia Archenksova (talk) 14:09, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
  14. Iwu Koraha Mahue is well though out, highly detailed, and offers a wealth of images. It's a good example of how to flesh out a great deal and add it to a world while keeping it concise. Essik Lyccane (talk) 21:47, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
    1. CON: Very dated, as the subject matter hasn't been relevant since early 2016. Alethia Archenksova (talk) 14:09, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
  15. Orian Frequency is very cool but needs images and a little love. Alethia Archenksova (talk) 16:12, 19 March 2024 (UTC)

Process

So just what makes a featured article? Well, we've prepared a list just in case someone should ask that, and it is as follows.

An article must…

  1. …be well written and detailed.
  2. …be written from an unbiased, third-person, objective point of view.
  3. …have a complete, detailed biography if the page concerned is a character article.
  4. …have a succinct and appropriate lead that can be used for the front page featured box.
  5. ...have a properly applied Eras Template at the top of the page where applicable.
  6. …not be the object of any ongoing edit wars.
  7. …not be tagged with any sort of improvement tags (i.e. more sources, expand, etc)
  8. …not contain an unreasonable number (use common sense) of red links.
  9. …not have been previously featured.
  10. ...not contain a trivia section comprised of a random assortment of miscellaneous facts. See the corresponding article on Trivia for more details.

For more information on what makes a featured article, see Wikipedia:What is a featured article.

How to nominate:

  1. First, nominate an article you find is worthy of featured status, putting it at the bottom of the list below; see criteria above.
  2. Others will object to the nomination if they disagree that the article is good enough; they will then supply reasons for doing so, and ways to improve the article (errors, style, organization, images, notability, sources).
  3. Supporters adjust the article until the objectors (with reasonable objections) are satisfied.
  4. The article is placed on the featured article list and added to the front page queue.
  5. Also, if, at least two week after the article's nomination, that article has 5 supports and no objections, it will be added the queue, and will be officially known as a "featured article".

How to vote:

  1. Before doing anything, be sure to read the article completely, keeping a sharp eye out for mistakes.
  2. Afterwards, compare the article to the criteria listed above, and then either support or object the article's nomination.
    1. If you object, please supply concrete reasons for doing so, and how it can be improved.
  3. As stated above, any objections will be looked upon by the nominator, supporters, and anyone willing to improve the article, and action will be taken to please the objectors.
  4. Once all objectors' complaints have been solved (or the article has 5 supports and no objections after at least a week), the article will be added to the queue and be officially known as a "featured article".

Also remember to add {{Nominated}} at the top of the article you are nominating.

Every month the next article in the queue will be highlighted on the Main Page as featured, marked with a Featured icon and removed from the list of nominations. The beginning of the article then appears on the Main Page via the {{Featured article}} template. Nominees that are inactive for a month may be eliminated from the nominations list.
