Sith Battlelord, Obelisk Exarch, Krath Epis, Consular Chronicler, Guardian Peacekeeper or Sentinel Shadow (commonly known as Equite 3 or EQ3) is the eleventh rank in the Dark Brotherhood, which is awarded after demonstrating above and beyond performance as a second-level Equite. It is the third rank in the Equite class, the third step down the path to Dark Side Adept.
House Summits, Rollmasters and Proconsuls have the authority to promote members up to this rank. There is the expectation of at least one year of sustained activity as an Equite 2 as well as three months in a leadership position before you can be promoted to Equite 3.
Upon promotion by your Clan Summit, you will reach one of six Equite ranks based on your Order.
History
At various times in the Brotherhood, the Sith and Obelisk name for this rank has been different. For a while Sith Warlord, now an fourth Equite rank, replaced Battlelord (its position at EQ4 being filled by Sith Overlord). The Obelisk rank was originally Obelisk Battlelord, being replaced briefly by the unpopular Obelisk Crusader before being replaced again by the current Obelisk Exarch.
