Sperlan Trakx is the current commander of Devastator Squadron. Born on Karufr, he is a defector from the forces of Clan Taldryan.
Career
Taldryan Service
Sperlan Trakx enlisted in the Taldryan Armed Forces shortly after turning 16. Early on, Taldryan were victors in the conflicts that he fought in, such as the Sixth Great Jedi War, but soon the tide began to turn. Taldryan lost to Arcona in the Ninth Great Jedi War. During this conflict, Trakx was personally blamed for a number of losses, having advanced to an Element Leader position in one of Taldryan's fighter squadrons. This made the human resentful; he had given his life for Taldryan many times, and now, after a couple of minor errors, they were quick to admonish.
Soon after, the Brotherhood prepared for an invasion of New Tython. Sperlan's squadron commander, on hearing of another conflict, decided the time was right to retire. Trakx fully expected to be promoted into the role, but the position went to a young female prodigy instead. This incensed the Karufr native, and he quietly made plans to leave.

Arconan Service
Within a few days of being passed over, Sperlan was in contact with the new First Clan, Arcona. In exchange for key information regarding Taldryan's military forces, as well as making himself available to fly for Arcona, Trakx would be granted a pardon for any all crimes that he may have committed against the Shadow Clan.
As the Taldryan fleet readied itself to head to New Tython, Sperlan altered his hyperspace trajectory - he headed for the Dajorra System.
Arriving not long before the Arcona Expeditionary Force was due to leave, the Taldryan defector was assigned as a pilot onboard the Invicta, due to a lack of available spaces. He would fly his B-Wing, still painted with Taldryan markings, against the forces of Odan-Urr.
The Arcona Starfighter Corps performed fairly poorly at New Tython. Many were killed, and dozens of starfighters, mostly TIE Interceptors were lost. After the battle, in which Arcona once against came out as First Clan, Sperlan was reassigned to fly as part of Bombard Squadron, having helped take on his former employers in addition to the Jedi of Odan-Urr.
