| === The Birth of the Jade Family ===
| |
|
| |
|
| Aticus Jade was born on Eden under his loving father and mother, Kevard Jade and Mortisha Jade. He was the third child born to the Jade family. The first was his oldest brother, Talon Jade and the second was the middle child Sykes Jade. Kevard was a simple man, or put out to be. He worked on Eden as a droid mechanic for ZioTech, a corrupt corporation with deep ties with the Hutts and other gangs. However Kevard did not allow this to change him, he worked hard and made an honest living, but his disapprovals of ZioTech were well known among his family and even the CEOs of ZioTech. Mortisha Jade was formerly Mortisha Kibone of Alderaan before its destruction. She was luckily not present for its destruction and was at that time a Senator for the Empire. However like Kevard she did not agree with corrupt corporations such as the Empire, and eventually resigned from her status soon before the Emperor simply disolved the entire Senate.
| |
|
| |
|
| Before Kevard and Mortisha met, Kevard himself was infact on the darker end of the deals - being a smuggler and bounty hunter for the Bounty Hunter's Guild. However after meeting Mortisha he felt the need to chase men all over the galaxy for credits was just not something he wanted nor needed in his life any longer. The two eventually moved to Eden to hide their past and claimed to be a newly wedded couple looking for a new home and new life. The small city of Alkaresh accepted them in where they made their lives comfortable and simple.
| | === The Youth Aticus Jade === |
|
| |
|
| After Talon was born the two decided money was needed to begin their family, and their initial credits they had come to Eden with were running dry. So Kevard signed a contract for ten years with ZioTech. After two years, the couple were doing well - though Kevard was displeased with the work he had been doing. He wanted to make droids to save lives, instead they had him making droids to take lives. It was not long until the second Jade son was born. He was named Sykes Jade after Kevard's brother who he kept a secret but was a Jedi before he was killed. Only one year later Aticus was born and the family was built.
| | Aticus Jade was born 2 ABY on the planet Aeotheran and was for the beginning of his life was raised by his mother, [[Ania Orian]]. Unlike his half brothers who were raised in an Imperial manner, Aticus was raised as a member of the [[Orianic Tribe]], and did not meet his father until much later in his life. Being a mixed blood made Aticus's life very difficult because the tribe took pride in being the descendants of a Sith Lord named [[Urias Orian]], who in their religion was a god. |
|
| |
|
| === The Jade Family Prospers ===
| | It is believed that the Orianic tribe could possibly be the descendants of Urias as the entire Orianic Tribe was built up of force sensitives, and even some mildly trained force users. Despite being a 'half blood', Aticus was considered the most talented and gifted of any of the [[Orianic Tribe]] to ever live. By the age of six Aticus had slayed his first Cannok, by eight his first man. It was very clear that a strong warrior bloodline flowed in the veins of Aticus, but with the boy being so strong and talented, conflict with the tribes religion took place. No none Orian bloodline, or half blood should hold as much power as he did, which resulted in the king having several assassination attempts placed upon the boy, each one a failure which resulted in the massacre of the assassins and further anarchy to the Orianic religion. |
|
| |
|
| After nine years with the company despite his displeasure, Kevard knew that if he could serve another ten he would have a hefty retirement in the bag. He was now getting old though and moving slower than what he was ten years before and this was seen as a problem to the company, but due to his loyalty to serving so long with ZioTech instead of firing him they granted him another ten year contract as a Sub-Official in the company. This excited Kevard as he was now able to begin putting his own influence into ZioTech and begin developing things that he wanted.
| | Aticus by the age of ten was no longer a boy at heart, but a hardened warrior with the blood of twenty two men on his hands. Though the tribe refused to accept him into history as even one of its basic warriors, the king himself did agree that without Aticus to assist them during the Great War between the [[Orianic Tribe]] and [[Sessian Tribe]], the Orianic would have never conquered the Sessian. When Aticus was rejected from being accepted as an Orianic by its king and his followers, even after his heroic display in the Great War between the two tribes, his mother began to raise Aticus for a new meaning. Before she did all she could to just make Aticus a common member of the Orianic, but she now realized that with the current leadership and religion in place her son would never be noted for any of his accomplishments, and would further more always be at risk. [[Ania Orian]] began to teach Aticus [[Sith]] Magic & Alchemy, as well as true Sith Religion, and told him that very soon the Orianic tribe would be his, and that he would bring forward a new age for the tribe. Ania filled her son's heart with rage, anger, and hate but filled his mind with intelligence, strategy, and technique. She did this for three years, and on his thirteenth birthday Aticus was finally of age to issue a Rite of Challenge to the king of the tribe. |
|
| |
|
| Despite his request, Kevard was given office away from Eden though giving him very little time to tend to his family outside of financial helpings. He would work both day and night to ensure his family had everything that it ever wanted - and because of this the family became very rich. Due to their financial income, Mortisha soon ended up gaining office as Major over the now large and growing city of Alkaresh. She began building several great things for the city and gained popularity from the entire planet as a fighter for the people's rights. This however gained unwanted attention from the Empire and after several assasination attempts on herself and her children, she decided it was time to leave office once more.
| | === The Rite of Challange === |
|
| |
|
| Kevard had also felt that he was not doing his job as a husband and father by leaving his family unattended so he placed in an early resignation to leave ZioTech and go home to Eden. The family had banked so much money over the time that they bought almost one third of Eden in property. Once the boys had each reached the age of eighteen or older Kevard and Mortisha gave each a mansion with two thousand acres of land to invest in. The simple family had become a powerful one - and this began to change the way the galaxy looked at them.
| | It is law by the Orianic religion that when 'any' man of Orianic bloodline, whether pure or not, reaches the age of thirteen they are considered full grown, and are capable of undertaking any task, job or position in the tribe just as any other man, however the Rite of Challenge may only be issued once in an Orianic's lifetime and it results in either the contender surrendering to the challenge, and taking exile - or a battle to the death. The very morning of his thirteenth birthday Aticus approached the king and issued his Rite of Challenge for the crown. With his choices before him, and his natural hate for Aticus, the king chose to duel Aticus for the crown. |
|
| |
|
| === The Jade Family Exiled ===
| | Being the contender, the king was given the choice of weapons to use and he chose wisely by saying "Our Surroundings.." which allowed anything and everything to be used as a weapon in the fight. The battle raged from that morning until nearly sunset. The two had battled each other from the village, all the way to the nearby ancient [[Sith]] temple. Aticus proved to be to much of a match for the king, as he defeated him using the [[Sith]] Magic taught to him by his mother, [[Ania Orian]]. Aticus had placed a Spell of Toxicity upon the king, which slowly turned his blood to poison, resulting in his death. Aticus removed the crown from the former king and returned back to the village. Unable to believe that their prior king was dead, and even harder to believe that a half blood was now king, several rebelled against Aticus. The new king wasted no time in destroying the uprising, and used it to strike fear into the hearts of those that would question his authority as king. |
|
| |
|
| At eighteen Aticus was much like a prince. He had anything he wanted, but above all things he wanted - he wanted a service record. Time in the military. His two brothers felt the same, however unlike their mother and father, they did not see the Empire as a corrupt organization but rather a league of heros willing to do whatever it took to establish law and order across the galaxy.
| | Over time the tribe came to love Aticus as their new king. The old religion was abolished and replaced with what teachings of the Sith and Jedi could be recovered from the planet, which not only made more opportunity for the tribe, but also made them stronger. The [[Orianic Tribe]] had grown to nearly four hundred followers in the two years that Aticus was king, but this was mostly due to his demand that the tribe breed to replace the warriors that he had killed, then breed to double the numbers, so many of the Orianic were but infants or toddlers while Aticus was king. Little did the tribe know, Aticus was beginning to hate them all. He had not forgotten the shun they had placed upon him, nor would he ever forgive them.. |
|
| |
|
| Soon all three left Eden to enlist with the Imperial Remenant. During this time however, Eden was under pressure from the Remenant to surrender itself to the forces of the Empire or be invaded. The planet had stood for so long as a nuetral force that it had no intentions of doing so, but it was no match for the Empire. The people of Eden had never seen the likes of the masses of soldiers and starfighters swarming their planet, and it lead to their belief that the Empire was being funded from Eden - and the only family capable of this was the Jades, Kevard and Mortisha.
| | === The Brotherhood Arrives on Aeotheran === |
|
| |
|
| The people were half correct. The Jade family was in fact funding the Empire to come into Eden but it was not by Kevard or Mortisha but by Talon, Sykes and Aticus. All three had given their property to the Imperial government to establish Military and Political operations on the planet. When the word came out that the Jade name was in fact funding the Empire - Kevard and Mortisha were branded traitors, along with their children. They were left with two options - capital execution or exile from Eden. Kevard and Mortisha of course took the exile and were never heard or seen from by anyone again - though all three children eventualy found out that the two never made it off the planet and were assassinated. This lead Eden to its downfall.
| | Approximately three months after Aticus's fifteenth birthday, word came to Destavol that the former god of the Orianic, [[Urias Orian]], had been reincarnated and was on Aeotheran with several other demigods to assist him. Curious about this Aticus made a point to assemble a small team in where he ventured out to find this 'reincarnation'. Aticus was gone for six days and when he returned he found his people worshiping a man by the name of [[Trevarus Caerick]] who would later become known as Shan-Long. Wise as he was strong, Aticus did not react harshly to this as he was curious as to just 'what' made this man a god. During a private dinner between [[Trevarus Caerick]] and Aticus, the Dark Jedi attempted to trick Aticus into thinking that he was really the reincarnation of [[Urias Orian]] by demonstrating his abilities with the force. Though much stronger than Aticus was at the time, Trevarus did not fool Aticus. The young king demonstrated talents with the force himself, and it became clear to Trevarus that not only were some of the [[Orianic Tribe]] force sensative, but also some educated in the arts of the [[Sith]]. Aticus held no grudge against Trevarus for his attempt however, because he himself ruled over the Orianic with the force so it was only natural that he would desire to do the same. |
|
| |
|
| === The Fall of Eden === | | === Joining the Brotherhood === |
|
| |
|
| With word of their parents assassination, all three took no thought into the idea that the Empire had any influence into it and decided to expend all posible funds to eradicate any resistance of the Empire on Eden. In three days with the massive funding provided, the planet fell and the Empire established itself - renaming the planet Jade in honor of the three that supported its efforts. Of course none of the three Jade children were physically involved with the invasion as at this time they were still in training for the Empire. They were also unaware that over three million non combatants were slaughtered during the invasion under the assumption they were resistance members.
| | Aticus never believed that [[Urias Orian]] was a god, as he himself had studied some of the Sith arts that his mother had taught him, thus he knew for sure that Treverous was no deity either, but he allowed the belief to continue so that he could watch the new comers closer than he could if he were to war with them. As he expected the Dark Jedi had no intentions to lead the Orianic to glory but rather enslave and destroy them over time, but in his heart Aticus desired this, so he met with the Dark Brotherhood personally to make a trade. In turn to accept him into the Brotherhood for training to become a Dark Jedi, he would give the Brotherhood the Orianic tribe and all its lands. At first he was laughed at, but when Aticus returned the next day with the tongues of those who laughed at him and presented them to the Grand Master, [[Chi-Long]], himself. He was seen as a worthy candidate to join the ranks of the Brotherhood. |
|
| |
|
| Eden went from being its former paradise of lush green lands, to a planet laced with havok and burning fires. The Empire took no waste in time before using the planet for its resources. It would take time, but eventually Eden would turn from a lush green planet to a ruin of its former beauty.
| | Upon turning sixteen Aticus was in his first year of training in the [[Dark Brotherhood]]. He was expected to die within a week, but he had made many of the elders look like fools, and had proven to be a very intelligent and strong warrior. Over the one year he had mastered speaking Galactic Basic along with several other languages, as well as obtained the rank of Guardian in the Brotherhood. During his first year of service to the Brotherhood, Aticus had served with several clans. [[Clan Arcona]], [[Clan Taldryan]], and [[Clan Exar Kun]] but after his service with nearly all the clans he finally found one he could swear loyalty to, [[Clan Naga Sadow]]. |
|
| |
|
| | Upon turning seventeen Aticus was showing more potential than most Dark Jedi that had been training for six years, even though he was still only a Guardian - he had already killed two Dark Jedi Knight's in combat using their own lightsabers against them. Needless to say this accomplishment placed Aticus in the sights of several powerful Dark Jedi in the Brotherhood, among them was an elite unit called the [[Grand Master's Royal Guard]]. Aticus accepted the offer and took great pride in the accomplishments he had made before he had even reached adulthood.. |
|
| |
|
| | === Service in Darkness === |
|
| |
|
| === Time in the Empire ===
| | Upon reaching 18 Aticus was now a Dark Jedi Knight of [[Clan Naga Sadow]]. The Brotherhood had embarked into its [[Exodus]], which Aticus later came to learn was why the Brotherhood had taken interest in Aeotheran to begin with. Battles between the Galactic Empire, and Brotherhood waged in so many places that it was almost impossible not to enter conflict when traveling the outer-rim. |
|
| |
|
| Once their training was completed, the three Jades were now much older. Talon was twenty one years of age, with Sykes and Aticus at nineteen and eighteen. All three became officers in the Empire almost immediatly after their training was complete. Aticus chose differently than his two older brothers. He wanted to see combat first hand, on the ground and up close and personal. The loss of his parants had driven him into a state of mind to brutaly defeat any that opposed the Remenant. He chose to become a Stormtrooper, while Talon and Sykes became TIE Pilots.
| | Aticus alone had a confirmed kill count of 136 Imperial and Rogue Jedi combined. Seeing that he was a true asset, [[Clan Naga Sadow]] offered Aticus the opportunity to step into the true teaching of the [[Sith]] Order. He was tasked with returning to Aeotheran and eliminating the remaining [[Orianic Tribe]], including his mother, which was originally planned by the clan when it first ventured into the [[Orian System]]. |
|
| |
|
| They all three proved to be elite soldiers and was soon transfered to the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet - formerly an elite strike force for the Empire under the command of Grand Admiral Ronin. Aticus was transfered into the Hammer's Fist where he became a Major and served for several years as a Command Staff member. It was during this time that he had already seen war at its best and he thought there was nothing stronger than the force of the Empire's Legions and Corps. This was until his brother Talon met up with him after two years of being seperated.
| | Aticus no longer had any love for his past, in fact he hated it so he took the mission as a great honor and glory given to him. Aticus returned to the Consul and Proconsul of his clan with twenty five golden boxes, and one platinum box. All of which contained the heads of the leaders of the Orianic, and the platinum containing the head of his mother. The summit was well pleased with his progression and granted him the rank of Sith Warrior where he continued to serve his clan and order faithfully for quite some time to follow. |
|
| |
|
| He invited him to leave the Legion and take Major ranking in an elite unit called the Infiltrator Wing. A division that used Alliance craft against the alliance and strategicly caused several massacres and kept the Rebellion at bay for a very long time. Aticus agreed and became a member of the infamous Eagle Squadron. Here he made his true name as a warrior, as did his brothers. This gained attention from a division far greater than the entire Empire and lead him down a path that would change his life for ever.
| | After the Exodus, both the Brotherhood and the Empire were greatly weakened - though not by the same means. The Empire had lost in the several thousands of lives by waring against the Dark Jedi, with the Brotherhood losing in the high hundreds. What the Brotherhood had lost most of was resources and technology - now with out the Empire supporting them it was up to them to survive on their own in the galaxy.. |
|
| |
|
| === A Brotherhood of Darkness ===
| | Like the rest of the Brotherhood, Aticus managed to survive and grow strong. By 22ABY, when [[Jac Cotelin]] was reappointed to the throne - Aticus was a well developed Sith Warrior. He had proven himself very worthy in the battles but his knowledge of the Order was still lacking to much to allow any further elevation. Outraged at not being allowed to progress Aticus vanished from the Brotherhood, and what seemed like the entire Galaxy. He vowed to return when he was stronger, and able to represent his clan and Brotherhood better. His self enforced exile lasted until 26ABY. During his time of self reflection Aticus met his real father, who he attempted to kill but came to find was actually trained equally to the rank of Dark Adept. He studied under his father for a short amount of time before departing to meet his brothers, in which he trained with as well. |
|
| |
|
| At twenty two years old, Aticus was captured in combat as was Talon and Sykes. The Empire considered them MIA or KIA, as the capture happened so fast amongst so much chaos that it was not until the battle was over that they were aware that Eagle Squadron had lost its Commander and both its Flight Leaders. However the three were not captured by the Rebellion, but infact a secret order called the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Up to this time Aticus had heard of the force but knew little about it much less believed in it.
| | A now 25 year old Sith Warrior returned to the Clan only to find out that much had changed. The Jedi were now a rising influence in the galaxy, and there was now a new foe called the Yuzan Vong. Aticus was in no way out of shape, as for the past few years he had been pushing himself harder than any other point in his life and was performing on levels thought impossible for someone of his stature, but Aticus had always been a flaw to the order of ways, and it was only natural that he had done so. |
|
| |
|
| He was brought before a man in a black cloak that never showed his face. He told him he had one choice, serve the Brotherhood. Aticus resisted at first, which gained him his first realization that the force was in fact real. The man in the black robe lifted both of his hands and sent lightning racing through his body and in no time the young man fell to the floor near death. The being told him the only reason he was spared is so that in time he could come to understand that the Brotherhood was his true destiny.
| | Returning to [[Clan Naga Sadow]], Aticus was soon granted the rank of Sith Battlemaster, and served in both houses as a Sith Commander, Rollmaster and even as Aedile. He accomplished several things, but Aticus had long since left his desires to be 'king' behind, and what he did he did for himself rather than his people. Seeing this within himself, Aticus felt it best that another lead until he regain the urge to lead once again. . |
|
| |
|
| After two months of captivity, and re-education Aticus was drafted into the Shadow Academy. He began his journey down the dark side there. He learned much while at the Academy, more than he had wanted to know. He was taught to kill in manners unthinkable to him at that time, and was introduced to something that he bonded to the rest of his life. A lightsaber. At the Shadow Academy he was taught everything BUT to use the lightsaber, and in short this made him very outraged - and lead to him killing one of the instructors because he would not grant him the advanced permission to weild a lightsaber.
| | 30ABY was an important time for Aticus, as had now grown into a man at 29 years of age. During this time Aticus was also one of the selected members of Naga Sadow to venture back to Antei to reclaim the planet, but when the Sith arrived he like the rest of the Brotherhood came to find that the Vong had all been wiped out by a more natural cause, but in place of the Vong there were now the rogue jedi of Omancor Crask. Aticus was among the several brave warriors to liberate the Brotherhood's home world and restore order to the galaxy. Upon returning back to Clan Naga Sadow, he was rewarded with being granted the title of 'Last King of the Orianic' |
| | |
| Usualy one is executed for the murder of a fellow brother or sister in the brotherhood with out reasonable cause, however before he could be trialed a man named Corran Force had found out of his accomplishments and denied any punishment to befall Aticus. The two first met on Eos in the prison of Yilvaska. Corran found Aticus beaten brutaly and starved, nearly on his death bed. This outraged Corran and ordered that the men responsible come before him. When they did, he handed Aticus his lightsaber and demanded that he strike down those that would harm him. Almost to weak to even hold a hilt, Aticus managed to bring enough energy to combat against three guards that had beaten him. This pleased Corran, he had found a strong pupil. It was from there that Aticus and Corran shared a bond of Master and Apprentice.
| |
| | |
| === The Path of Darkness ===
| |
| | |
| Corran Force was no easy master to deal with. He demanded perfection of Aticus, and when given perfection he demanded better. Though Corran unlike the rest of the Dark Jedi, did not do this out of sadistic pleasure as much as he did it to ensure that his pupil would survive in the Dark Brotherhood. Once Aticus's master felt confident enough that the young man could survive in the Dark Brotherhood, he re-established him as a certified Apprentice of the Dark Brotherhood and placed him in Clan Taldryan.
| |
| | |
| It was here that Aticus found nothing but misery and torture. The clan did not accept him for who he was, as his ideals did not conform with theirs. Aticus at that time only served one person, his Master Corran Force and considered his master placing him in any clan as a mistake. After time passed however, Aticus did gain some forms of friendships within the clan. The first person to take him under their arm was a Guardian named SwipeR. The man was a skilled lightsaberist but a seasoned heavy weapons user. His abilities with a Concussion Rifle exceeded some of the Empire's finest snipers. The two got to know each other well, and eventually became friends.
| |
| | |
| Through SwipeR Aticus met his more rivalistic friend, Shadow and the mentor of both SwipeR and Shadow - Sharad Hett. Shadow was a man of joking manner but he had no mercy in combat, and even though Aticus was an ally and a friend he showed him little taste or comfort. Shadow expected a lot from Aticus and for a period of time when Aticus would fail - Shadow would either lead him into danger or try to kill Aticus himself. Though once Aticus found out that if he did not succeed in the clan he would die, he began to find victory not so hard to reach. Sharad Hett had little likings to Aticus at all to begin with. In fact, he had placed an order for an assassination on him by Shadow as a phase of his training, but this was interviened by Corran Force, and a warning was placed that should any unexplained death or injury befall Aticus he himself would dispose of all who were involved.
| |
| | |
| It was at this time that Corran saw that Aticus did not belong with clan Taldryan so he called him before him and described the other clans of the Brotherhood. Two came to his mind, Clan Arcona and Clan Naga Sadow. Arcona was a divine and well formed clan of war. They studied in combat far beyond the other clans and was rivaled only by Taldryan. So naturaly Aticus chose Arcona and it was there that he found his brothers Talon and Sykes waiting for him. The three were happily reunited but in a way they all knew they could never be the boys they once were. Love was a weakness and they could not show it to one another, but they did give each other more loyalty than they would the Grand Master.
| |
| | |
| === Crossed Paths ===
| |
| | |
| Aticus spent several years of his life in Arcona, among the houses he spent most of his time in Galares. He met several friends and allies there, and developed strong bonds with them. He began his lightsaber training there as well under the guidance of his brother Talon Jade who at this point was a Dark Jedi Knight. Though he did enjoy the clan, and had learned much - Aticus in his heart felt the call of Taldryan to him. He felt that he had failed in one area and tried to cover it up with another. Though he let this eat at him for several more years before leaving.
| |
| | |
| During his time with Arcona, he had commanded elite Brigades, Squadrons and Phyles, and had even gained the positions of Aedile and Quaestor of House Galares. It was soon though that the failure in Taldryan forced him to step away from these positions. He felt obsolete to everyone else in the Brotherhood, regardless of their stature or clan. So one night he packed all of his things and left without word to anyone. At this time he was a Jedi Hunter, and now much stronger, diciplined, and better educated. His goal, was Taldryan. He would either recieve his Knighthood there - or he would die trying.
| |
| | |
| When the young man arrived at the Dinaari landing pad he was met with instant resistance from younger house members that had heard rumors of him being a traitor. He wasted no time in dispatching death to those that would consider him a traitor. Though he was deafeted quickly by a now much stronger Templar Shadow. During the battle Shadow had no idea he was fighting Aticus, and even when he had defeated him and realized it was him - Shadow showed no anger in his former comrads defeat. He told him "You've progressed further than I'd have imagined. Are you coming home?". Aticus told Shadow of why he had returned and this gained sympothy from Shadow, who was the Proconsul under his master Sharad Hett at the time.
| |
| | |
| When Sharad had heard of Aticus's return he confronted him personaly, but after study of him Sharad eventualy lightened up and accepted Aticus as a member of the clan, and after a few months of trials Aticus had earned his right to stand among House Dinaari once more who was now under the command of his friend SwipeR.
| |
| | |
| === The Trials of the Knight ===
| |
| | |
| Aticus served once more with House Dinaari and Clan Taldryan for several years until the day had finaly come. SwipeR had called a private session with Aticus and explained to him that it was now his time to take the trials of the Dark Jedi Knight - and that in truth that he may not survive this. These words only excited Aticus, he was eager to prove himself worthy and accomplished. SwipeR reviewed Aticus's training, and had him demonstrate several things before him. Once he did - SwipeR granted him his rites of trial.
| |
| | |
| The trials were the hardest thing Aticus had to do during his tenure with Taldryan. The trials tested him in areas he had never trained in before. It took place on a world he had never hoped to go to again, Eden. The planet was loosely used by the Empire now as it had been formerly used for testing on animals and eventualy an outbreak of mutated creatures forced the evacuation of most of the planet. When Aticus layed his eyes on the planet, his heart was struck with pain and the trials almost ended for him there as he could not move, not speak, only stare at the ruins of his home world.
| |
| | |
| Shadow arrived soon after him, and though he could not assist him - he proved to be an encouragement which was all Aticus needed. What Aticus did not know is that his trails were setting in forward motion for something far larger than he ever could think of. What he thought was prisoners in armor or something else, Aticus was ordered to eliminate any Imperial Remenant forces on Eden. It was a trial that took four days to complete, and even then it was only the first of four phases.
| |
| | |
| The next phase was to construct his own lightsaber. This took a week in solitude, as if a lightsaber is built incorrectly it will explode upon its initial ignition with quite a mass spread destruction zone. The Jedi Hunter was given nothing, and had to develop a lightsaber out of parts out of droids, crashed star fighters, crystal caves and more. After he developed the lightsaber he went to a mountain were SwipeR, Shadow, Sharad and his master Corran Force awaited him. He kneeled before them and presented the lightsaber he had constructed. It got much negative critasism but considering the resources he had to make it with, he was commended for a job well done. Corran activated the saber for the first time and handed it back to Aticus. The white blade of the saber was jagged and tore more than it cut making any wound inflicted by it very painful.
| |
| | |
| It was here that his final two trials awaited. The third trial came from the clan. He was told to kill a mutant rancor and bring its head back to this spot and sacrifice it to the clan but to keep a tooth of it for himself. He agreed. It took him little time to find this mutated rancor. Truthfuly Aticus did not defeat the rancor with weapons, but instead with wits. Leadnig the rancor into a trap he had created when he was a child still stood in the woods. It was a large trap intended to kill rancors from getting to close to his mansion which use to reside close to the mountain. The rancor foolishly followed him and was impaled by over two hundred lances. The death blow was a decapitation with his newly built lightsaber. Once completed Aticus had to use the force to help him carry the head of this monster back to the top of the mountain and there he burned it.
| |
| | |
| Aticus awoke the next day to his masters voice. "It is time my Apprentice. Your final task awaits you... ..on this planet somewhere I have released a Jedi Knight, who is armed and is looking to escape here alive and inform the Jedi of his knowledges of the Brotherhood. You MUST stop him or be punished by death. May the darkness guide you Aticus."
| |
| | |
| Aticus was torn battered and defeated already. The trials had taken him to a place of pain and agony he had never been before. His heart and mind were broken from the ruins of the planet, and his body broken from the countless attacks from the creatures over his period of time on the planet. He had no choice though, so with what determination he had left Aticus began to fuel himself with the only thing he had left.. hatered, passion, anger, pride, and this brought him the power he needed. He began the hunt for the Jedi, and it took him longer than he expected. | |
| | |
| Within the last few hours of his trials Aticus found a young girl at his former mansion which was now intergrown with the wild planets. She was meditating when he found her, and she showed him no anger or wrong intentions. Instead she smiled when she saw him and asked him if he needed to be healed. Aticus asked her if she was aware of what he was, and she confirmed that he was a Sith - but even a Sith did not deserve death for simply being what they were. This almost broke Aticus's intentions of killing her - but he had come to far. The girl held beauty and was kind hearted but to a heart of ice this ment nothing.
| |
| | |
| Aticus lunged at the girl and attacked her, but she was not defenseless as Corran had told him. The two engaged in a lightsaber battle lasting almost an hour - but in the end Aticus's determination for victory gained him just that. A final blow of a stab in her chest, the girl fell to the ground dead. Almost instantly after SwipeR, Shadow, Sharad and Corran emerged from the ruins outside his mansion and congratulated him on his accomplishments. He had become a Dark Jedi Knight. The four sat and talked a while, but soon after he was taken back to the Taldryan HQ for a ceremony and celebration.

| === The Calling of Naga Sadow ===
| |
| | |
| Aticus had served a while in Taldryan when he felt that his path was lost. He had learned much from the teachings of [[Clan Taldryan]] but in the end was displeased with where he was in both stature in the brotherhood, as well as in skill. For some time now Aticus had been having dreams of an ancient Sith Lord calling himself [[Naga Sadow]]. The Dark Lord kept calling to Aticus in these dreams to leave Taldryan and follow him, in return he would see to it that Aticus became a powerful Sith and promised glory and honor for his service. Intrigued as any Dark Jedi would be, Aticus agreed and soon after vanished from [[Clan Taldryan]] and was from there branded a traitor.
| |
| | |
| The journey he took upon himself lasted a week. He drifted his way to Aeotheran, to avoid assassins from Taldryan. He was confident enough to face them but he was avoiding tracking to Clan Naga Sadow. His efforts payed off when he reached the Skyhook safe and unharmed. It was there that he met a most attractive Consul for the clan, Ashia Keibatsu. The young woman accepted Aticus opened arms and spoke with him about the Dark Lord Naga Sadow. The Dark Lord had informed Ashia in visions of Aticus's coming to the clan and to consider him a strong future investment to the clan and it was this that she did.
| |
| | |
| === Years Passed ===
| |
| | |
| Several years past and Aticus had proven to be quite a valuable ally to the clan. He was now a Sith Battlemaster and a powerful leader both in battle and political wise as well. The Sith had studied and learned much from his experiences in the Dark Brotherhood and was by now one of the older and more senior of the [[Equite]] class serving among the Brotherhood. He had spent much time in service and after a while he had become trusted, and was granted permission to develop a strong Guardian Force for his house.
| |
|
| |
|
| | Now at 31ABY Aticus is nearing 30 years of age, and still stands as one of the Brotherhood's finest Sith. He still remains loyal to his clan, Naga Sadow in which he pledged his ever last loyalty to. . |

Aticus Jade is a Sith Battlemaster of Clan Naga Sadow and Last King of the Orianic Tribe
"Several flock to the thought of walking the paths of a Sith, and very few survive the first few steps. Those that have walked its path for a distance knows that they have died a long time ago, but in the end these are not true Sith but minions of our will. A true Sith does not walk the path of the Sith, they create one of their own." ~ Aticus Jade
Character History
The Youth Aticus Jade
Aticus Jade was born 2 ABY on the planet Aeotheran and was for the beginning of his life was raised by his mother, Ania Orian. Unlike his half brothers who were raised in an Imperial manner, Aticus was raised as a member of the Orianic Tribe, and did not meet his father until much later in his life. Being a mixed blood made Aticus's life very difficult because the tribe took pride in being the descendants of a Sith Lord named Urias Orian, who in their religion was a god.
It is believed that the Orianic tribe could possibly be the descendants of Urias as the entire Orianic Tribe was built up of force sensitives, and even some mildly trained force users. Despite being a 'half blood', Aticus was considered the most talented and gifted of any of the Orianic Tribe to ever live.
Aticus by the age of ten was no longer a boy at heart, but a hardened warrior with the blood of twenty two men on his hands. Though the tribe refused to accept him into history as even one of its basic warriors, the king himself did agree that without Aticus to assist them during the Great War between the Orianic Tribe and Sessian Tribe, the Orianic would have never conquered the Sessian. Ania Orian began to teach Aticus Sith Magic & Alchemy, as well as true Sith Religion, and told him that very soon the Orianic tribe would be his, and that he would bring forward a new age for the tribe. Ania filled her son's heart with rage, anger, and hate but filled his mind with intelligence, strategy, and technique. She did this for three years, and on his thirteenth birthday Aticus was finally of age to issue a Rite of Challenge to the king of the tribe.
The Rite of Challange
Being the contender, the king was given the choice of weapons to use and he chose wisely by saying "Our Surroundings.." which allowed anything and everything to be used as a weapon in the fight. The battle raged from that morning until nearly sunset. The two had battled each other from the village, all the way to the nearby ancient Sith temple. Aticus proved to be to much of a match for the king, as he defeated him using the Sith Magic taught to him by his mother, Ania Orian.
Over time the tribe came to love Aticus as their new king. The old religion was abolished and replaced with what teachings of the Sith and Jedi could be recovered from the planet, which not only made more opportunity for the tribe, but also made them stronger. The Orianic Tribe had grown to nearly four hundred followers in the two years that Aticus was king, but this was mostly due to his demand that the tribe breed to replace the warriors that he had killed, then breed to double the numbers, so many of the Orianic were but infants or toddlers while Aticus was king. Little did the tribe know, Aticus was beginning to hate them all. He had not forgotten the shun they had placed upon him, nor would he ever forgive them..
The Brotherhood Arrives on Aeotheran
Approximately three months after Aticus's fifteenth birthday, word came to Destavol that the former god of the Orianic, Urias Orian, had been reincarnated and was on Aeotheran with several other demigods to assist him. Curious about this Aticus made a point to assemble a small team in where he ventured out to find this 'reincarnation'. Aticus was gone for six days and when he returned he found his people worshiping a man by the name of Trevarus Caerick who would later become known as Shan-Long. Wise as he was strong, Aticus did not react harshly to this as he was curious as to just 'what' made this man a god. During a private dinner between Trevarus Caerick and Aticus, the Dark Jedi attempted to trick Aticus into thinking that he was really the reincarnation of Urias Orian by demonstrating his abilities with the force. Though much stronger than Aticus was at the time, Trevarus did not fool Aticus. The young king demonstrated talents with the force himself, and it became clear to Trevarus that not only were some of the Orianic Tribe force sensative, but also some educated in the arts of the Sith. Aticus held no grudge against Trevarus for his attempt however, because he himself ruled over the Orianic with the force so it was only natural that he would desire to do the same.
Joining the Brotherhood
Aticus never believed that Urias Orian was a god, as he himself had studied some of the Sith arts that his mother had taught him, thus he knew for sure that Treverous was no deity either, but he allowed the belief to continue so that he could watch the new comers closer than he could if he were to war with them. At first he was laughed at, but when Aticus returned the next day with the tongues of those who laughed at him and presented them to the Grand Master, Chi-Long, himself. He was seen as a worthy candidate to join the ranks of the Brotherhood.
Upon turning sixteen Aticus was in his first year of training in the Dark Brotherhood. Clan Arcona, Clan Taldryan, and Clan Exar Kun but after his service with nearly all the clans he finally found one he could swear loyalty to, Clan Naga Sadow.
Upon turning seventeen Aticus was showing more potential than most Dark Jedi that had been training for six years, even though he was still only a Guardian - he had already killed two Dark Jedi Knight's in combat using their own lightsabers against them. Needless to say this accomplishment placed Aticus in the sights of several powerful Dark Jedi in the Brotherhood, among them was an elite unit called the Grand Master's Royal Guard. Aticus accepted the offer and took great pride in the accomplishments he had made before he had even reached adulthood..
Service in Darkness
Upon reaching 18 Aticus was now a Dark Jedi Knight of Clan Naga Sadow. The Brotherhood had embarked into its Exodus, which Aticus later came to learn was why the Brotherhood had taken interest in Aeotheran to begin with. Battles between the Galactic Empire, and Brotherhood waged in so many places that it was almost impossible not to enter conflict when traveling the outer-rim.
Aticus alone had a confirmed kill count of 136 Imperial and Rogue Jedi combined. Seeing that he was a true asset, Clan Naga Sadow offered Aticus the opportunity to step into the true teaching of the Sith Order. He was tasked with returning to Aeotheran and eliminating the remaining Orianic Tribe, including his mother, which was originally planned by the clan when it first ventured into the Orian System.
Like the rest of the Brotherhood, Aticus managed to survive and grow strong. By 22ABY, when Jac Cotelin was reappointed to the throne - Aticus was a well developed Sith Warrior.
Returning to Clan Naga Sadow, Aticus was soon granted the rank of Sith Battlemaster, and served in both houses as a Sith Commander, Rollmaster and even as Aedile. He accomplished several things, but Aticus had long since left his desires to be 'king' behind, and what he did he did for himself rather than his people. Seeing this within himself, Aticus felt it best that another lead until he regain the urge to lead once again. .
Upon returning back to Clan Naga Sadow, he was rewarded with being granted the title of 'Last King of the Orianic'
Now at 31ABY Aticus is nearing 30 years of age, and still stands as one of the Brotherhood's finest Sith. He still remains loyal to his clan, Naga Sadow in which he pledged his ever last loyalty to. .
