Combat Master (CM)—The Combat Master is solely responsible for the Antei Combat Centre. The Combat Center has established itself as one of the absolute core activities that members participate in. The Combat Master is charged with the development and administration of the Center. He works with the various Dark Council offices to ensure that the Center is running according to the rules of the Brotherhood. He also hires, trains and keeps a full staff of members to help with various administrative tasks in the Center. The Combat Master regularly assists the Dark Council and Clans by allowing them to run competitions in the Center. The position itself is situated as a Society Leader, not on the Dark Council. The Combat Master reports directly to the Grand Master and Deputy Grand Master.

Duties
General Duties

- Ensures proper administration of the Center by training and overseeing a competent staff.
- Works with the Lord Hegemon in the development and approval of Character Sheets (obsolete)
Dalthid, former Combat Master.
Specific Duties
Generally
- Works with the Grand Master to ensure that the Combat Center fits easily within the vision of the Brotherhood
- Works with the Grand Master and Master At Arms to ensure proper rewards for all participants in the Center
- Interacts with the members of the Dark Brotherhood in a manner that doesn’t tarnish the reputation of the ACC or the Combat Master position
- Develops and maintains the Combat Center ranking and advancement structure
Staff
- Develops all staff positions, ensuring that responsibilities for each are documented properly
- Ensures that the Center is properly staffed at all times
- Trains the Center’s staff for the appropriate tasks that they will face
- Provides all staff with the tools and information needed to ensure successful execution of their jobs
- Ensures that the staff is timely in opening battles, rating battles and that they provide the best ‘customer service’ possible
Halcyon Taldrya, former Combat Master.
- Ensures that comments on battles are constructive and helpful, never personal
- Ensures that the staff is properly rewarded for their work
Training
- Develops and maintains a system for training new members of the Center
- Develops and maintains a system for testing members on their knowledge and proficiency as related to the Center
- Develops and maintains Shadow Academy courses related to the Center
Competitions
- Runs the Championship Ladder when appropriate
- Works with leaders of the Brotherhood on the development of competitions for the Clans using the Center
- Works with the Dark Council on the use of the Center in Vendetta events
Character Sheets
- Assists the Headmaster and Grand Master in the development and maintenance of Character Sheets
- Provides guidance to members who inquire about their characters, their equipment, Center operations, ruling disputes etc.
- Solely responsible for the determination of items and skills that can be used within the Center
- Assists the Headmaster and Grand Master with the development of powers and skills
- Approves Character Sheets as they pertain to the Combat Center, providing constructive feedback where needed

Documentation
- Maintains updated documentation in the ACC Compendium for when rules change, items are added or operations are adjusted.
- Develops and maintains all Combat Center policies
- Responsible for the Combat Center history within the DSC.
Website
- Works with the Seneschal and Grand Master on the development and maintenance of the Combat Center website
- Ensures that all information on the website is current
