He spent most of his maturing stages on cargo ships and docking stations amongst various trade routes in the Universe while learning the family business; pirating. Whatever pride his heritage had was left agent to suffering by those of his race, most of which completely forgot the namesake of the ‘Rathden’. | | Shaz’air was born on the planet of [[starwars:Alpheridies|Alpheridies]] around 7 BBY as Sidarace Rathden. Character History
Shaz’air was born on the planet of Alpheridies around 7 BBY as Sidarace Rathden. He spent most of his maturing stages on cargo ships and docking stations amongst various trade routes in the Universe while learning the family business; pirating. It is uncommon for his species to partake in such a barbaric trade, and it was an occupation that came with consequence. Whatever pride his heritage had was left agent to suffering by those of his race, most of which completely forgot the namesake of the ‘Rathden’.
Shortly before his call to the Shadow Academy on Antei, Sidarace had a final and major falling out with the head of operations over the band of miscreants and oldest of his three brothers, Shaz’air. He fled for his life from the pirate lord and shortly before erasing himself from the galaxy into the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, Sidarace schemed to round up what was comprised of the leadership of the pirate group and exterminate all but one. His plan devised a way that only allowed one of his brothers to escape death in an escape pod jettisoned into open space. A year later and Sidarace joined the Clan Taldryan of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, being accepted into the House Dinaari where he made his way to Knighthood. Soon afterward he was recruited by House Ektrosis where he became the Rollmaster and then shorty following he was assigned Aedile over the First House of Taldryan.
Sidarace fell at the blade of the Krath Archpriest Vodo Biask Taldrya - who served as Sidarace’s Master and Quaestor - in 30 ABY after being turned to the Light Side of the Force by the Jedi Omancor Crask. His body not being completely destroyed, his soul was recaptured into a restored body by the alchemy of the great Dark jedi Master Alanna Taldrya on an unknown planet in Taldryan’s Rybanloth System. The reincarnation of Ektrosis’s young Aedile was kept a secret between all but a small handful of medics and various other personnel while Vodo trained his apprentice back to the Dark Side.
His skills were brought back to life by the torturing and dark arts handed out by Vodo’s Krath teachings; his soul losing a bit of what used to be known as Sidarace. The Miraluka, now fully functional and stronger in the Dark Side sought out to be no longer be recognized as a resurrected self, but to take upon the rite of his only living brother; Shaz’air. During a brief leave-of-absence from his Master Vodo, the newly appointed Obelisk Templar found the location of his brother, and slew him in a violent duel to the death. After the grueling battle between his brother, Sidarace cast away his old name and took upon the name of his greatest triumph; Shaz’air.
Shaz’air helped lead Taldryan to a near-victory over the 9th Great Jedi War shortly following the christening of his new name. Soon after his triumphs on the battlefield, the Elders of Taldryan rewarded Shaz’air upon the good faith in fulfilling his duties to the Clan by bestowing the title of Son of Taldryan.
Shaz’air Taldrya now rules as the supreme commander over the Taldryan Security Force and Quaestor over House Taldryan and remains a faithful servant to the Obelisk Order as an Exarch.
