Where has it moved too?

I've moved the character infomation to its own article. Brimstone can be found here, and the character Brimstone can be found here. I hope no-one minds, just lending a friendly hand to my Apprentice here. - Ashura

User:Korras

please resize my picture of my Clawship.jpg Ash told me to ask you to - Brimstone

  • I'll do that Karel 02:18, 22 June 2007 (MDT)

You can also do it yourself... there's a whole thread about it here. --KM

did you read the link Kaine provided? it seems not, since you continued to upload new versions of the image, while the Wiki itself can resize it. also, I only fix images if the wiki messes them up. it doesn't seem like the Wiki messes yours up, considering I have now fixed it using the Wiki.--Korras 01:49, 23 June 2007 (MDT)

House Gladius article

Maybe I'm incorrect and you were right, but I'm pretty sure that it was meant to be "House Tarentum" and not "Clan" in the infobox data. -- RevengeX Palpatine 19:44, 22 June 2007 (MDT)

I believe Tarentum was a clan at the.time i was in them -- Brimstone 19 June 2014

Images

please move the clawcraft to a page of it's own, and revise the image layout on this page.--Korras 01:49, 23 June 2007 (MDT)

Doesn't help

I looked at that link and it showed me nothing but that you can do the resizing, not Wiki. instead of showing it before/after, explain it for us who are html illiterate - Brimstone

.. this is also listed in KM's link, pretty much. this is what I turned your clawcraft image to:

[[Image:Clawship.jpg|250px|left|thumb|Brimstone's Clawcraft]]

image:clawship.jpg is the image you uploaded. 250px is the designated width of your image, which the Wiki will resize it to. left is the side of the page it will appear on. thumb turns it into a thumbnail. the final part is the text which will appear in the thumbnail box.--Korras 11:02, 24 June 2007 (MDT)

Please dont edit pages without permission

  • I don't like the fact that someone came in and deleted a picture I had much less my Awards and Promotions information. If you want to discuss it, then discuss, but don't edit my page again. I am also having to readd my lightsaber because someone keeps deleting it. I have already had permission to add this as this is my lightsaber design, so who ever is doing it, stop deleting the info. Also, that picture is of me as a Chiss, so don't delete it too - Brimstone
  • You should probably look at who made the edit via the history tab before you start complaining about it being edited. If the Wiki Tribune edits your article, chances are there's something wrong with it. Awards sections aren't typically placed in wiki articles, as Tron said in the edit reasoning, they're not a dossier replacement. You could mention a couple of notable achievements, but the wiki isn't a suitable place to put a list of everything you've ever done. Impie 08:49, 22 May 2008 (MDT)
  • I'm not sure who gave you permission to use that image of a double bladed lightsaber on your wiki, since you have a long way to go in rank before you're permitted to even touch one. If anything, you should use the exact same lightsaber image that appears on your dossier, which I am sure is readily available in the Images Category of Lightsabers since you had to have created your lightsaber using the LS creation tool. Please remove the image from your wiki or explain here on exactly who authorized a Jedi Hunter to wield a double-bladed lightsaber.Djb lucien 09:50, 22 May 2008 (MDT)

Permission Status

  • I was given permission from prior Wiki Staff Karel and my 1st master Ashura Isradia as part of my training to create my own wiki page. I display this picture and it is captioned "future" lightsaber so people will know it is what I am planning on making. I had permission for it and want to keep it there. there are other wiki pages I saw that people had permission to show future weapons too. Brimstone 10:01 am 23 May 2008 (MST)

I never used the LS Creation tool. This was a custom work that I did with MS Paint and editing tools. - Brimstone 10:38 am 23 May 2008

how a Wiki is used

Hi, Brimstone, this is the DGM, Muz. You are not to use your wikipedia article as a replacement for your dossier. That means that dates of promotions and medals earned are not to be listed like you have done in the past. They are already displayed on your dossier page, and we don't allow that sort of stuff on the wiki. Tron has already changed this on you, and you've reverted it. In case you did not already know, Tron is the Wiki Tribune, and is an authhority on what can and can not be on a wiki. Please listen to him. If you decide to revert and not listen to Tron and my advise, I would not be surprised to find your wiki article locked down, or yourself catching a ban. Sorry for any confusion that this may have caused in the past. -- 11:58, 22 May 2008 (EST)

  • I was told by Wiki Staff member Karel and my 1st Master to add the Awards amd Promotions as part of my training towards DJK. It makes this page look better as it shows that I am active and playing, and also, 90% of all DJB people do not even look at players info or dossiers - Brimstone 10:10 am 23 May 2008 (MST)
  • Also, why am I allowed to show my Leadership positions, but not rewards/promotions since they are in the history too? kinda hypocritical here. - Brimstone 10:43 am 23 May 2008 (MST)
  • People can make up statistics to try to prove anything, 14% of all people know that. And I'm sure a hell of a lot more than 10% of people on the db site look at the dossier. Positions are interesting, they show what kind of standings you've had in the club without taking up much space, whereas listing every single crescent you've won takes up a whole lot of space on your article, and doesn't really give alot of interesting information. The wiki is quick and concise, the dossier is for listing everything you've done.

Also, if you're so confident that 90% of people don't use the dossier, you're more than welcome to start a poll about it on the forums. Impie 11:00, 24 May 2008 (MDT)

Article Locking

If you would like your article locked so that other members (who are not on the Wiki Staff or not you) cannot edit your character article, you may request this, but you must do so politely. Please contact a member of the Wiki Staff for more information. Thanks! -- RevengeX Palpatine 14:35, 22 May 2008 (MDT)

Darth Brimstone

I don't know who that is or what is has to do the Seabr character. The wiki page is intended primarily for IC information.

  • The trivia is from the SWRPG (Star Wars Role Playing Game) game series. It was my Sith character I had made, I was trying to explain where I got the name Brimstone. That is why it is under Trivia. I made this character in 2000 - Brimstone 10:05 am 23 May 2008 (MST)

Wiki Tribune says

Final Word on matter
There has never in the history of this Wiki, been a Staff member by the name of Karel. So whatever Karel told you, was not official. Your master may have given you a task, but is not on the Wiki Staff and therefore holds no say in what goes here.
.
As DGM Muz stated, I am the "authority on what can and can not be on a wiki." We have ruled that Medals, Awards, and Promotions are not necessary - not only because it is already listed on your dossier, but because it does nothing for the article. If you wish to Talk about events that took place during and that lead up to each promotion in the article, that is fine. But don't list the events as plain facts. Develop the character.
.
Leadership positions are allowed, while the others are not, because it adds depth to your character helping others see the direction in which the character is going and where he has been. Likewise, for each image listed, it is strongly recommended that you have at least a small paragraph talking about it. As far as your lightsaber picture goes - we are going to have to remove it. I understand that it is your future lightsaber, but we are in the present, so until you reach the rank of Equite 3 to use a double-sided lightsaber or Dark Side Adept to use a custom double-bladed, we'll have to keep it off of the page. Your article is to reflect your current standing within the Brotherhood and give history about your past - the future is not involved.
.
These matters are not debatable or negotiable. Only those listed as Wiki Staff on the Main page are allowed to hand out regulations, and that is at my discretion - I can override them (though at times that will be confusing for some so we minimize it as much as possible). Ignoring or neglecting what has been said here today will result in a temporary ban and/or the locking of your page. --Tron 11:26, 23 May 2008 (MDT)
  • Please the above log on Karel about Korras. this was last year when this person consulted me as the staff member. Being that I was new to all of this, I had to take his word for it. If nothing is allowed to be done for future references, then why are there articles about people and events from the SW Universe that happens in the future, yet we are based around 20-30 years ABY. There is some articles or mentions of things that are happeneing now (current SW universe is at 45 ABY) Brimstone 2:18 pm 26 May 2008 (MST)
    • All Wiki Staff are listed on the Main Page - if someone is not listed there then they are not a member of the staff no matter what they say. To which articles are you referring that that talk about future events? Yes I am aware that they have written Star Wars novels up to 40 ABY - the last novel Invincible was set at 40 ABY - but they also have comics that are set in 130 ABY. That doesn't mean we can write our characters histories all the way up to 130 ABY! Why we would have everyone saying they were the Grand Master, Sith Lord, Mandalore or some crazy notion (oh wait! there are people that claim that who haven't earned it, we call them crackpots!). What I say is written in stone (so to say). There will be no change to this. You can write about the here and now (29 ABY) or the Past - No future. End of discussion. --Tron 18:25, 26 May 2008 (MDT)

Thrawn?

Okay, I might be out of line here, but you say in your article you met Thrawn when you were younger. You were born in 5 BBY. Palpatine had already noticed the abilities of Thrawn in 27 BBY. He was part of the Empire when it came to be. That means from about 20 BBY and forward he was going through the ranks of the Empire until about 2 ABY. That would mean that if you were younger you probably would not have been able to meet Thrawn.

Again, I might be wrong, but I just noticed it looking through your article. Scyrone 13:05, 30 November 2008 (MST)

Actually, The Thrawn Trilogy series was based 9 yrs ABY so my character would have had a chance to meet him because after the end of the Empire in ROTJ, Thrawn went back to the Chiss Ascendancy, where he built up his empire and fleets that tried to kill Luke Skywalker and the others. Brimstone 04:05, 5 May 2009 (MST)

Actually, Thrawn did not return to the Chiss Ascendancy. He was exiled and returned to the Unknown Regions leading an Imperial expedition. The Chiss that served with him in what would become the Empire of the Hand were part of his own Household Phalanx, not from other families or clans. Add to that any that joined him at that point would have been exiled for following him. Since your character apparently went on to serve in command capacity in the Chiss Fleet after Thrawn's death in 9 ABY, it would appear nigh impossible to reconcile a meeting with Thrawn as a child with his character history. -- Selika 09:17, 5 May 2009 (MDT)

Well, being that the chiss begin the military training of their race at a young age, and I would been 19 yrs old at the time of his death, there would be a feasable chance of the meeting prior to his being in exile. during the death star I being destoyed and his death is a 9 yr period. This could have been a time from 10-19 years ol I would have been to have met him if he was to visit the chiss ascendancy or csilla during this time before he was banished and put in exile. - Brimstone 09:26, 5 May 2009 (MST)

Look, you've got a link to the Thrawn article in your own, read it. He was exiled some time prior to 19 BBY, as he was picked up on the uninhabited world he'd been exiled to in 19 BBY:
In 19 BBY, Captain Voss Parck of the Victory-class Star Destroyer Strikefast discovered Thrawn on a remote planetoid at the edge of the Outer Rim Territories near the Unknown Regions. - Thrawn Article
No matter what your birthdate is, 10 BBY or 5 BBY, Thrawn was exiled long before your character was even born. So no meeting with Thrawn. -- Selika 09:31, 5 May 2009 (MDT)

Various Inconsistencies

Looking over the article in more detail, I noticed a few things. First, you talk about his birth being in 10 BBY and then in the next paragraph it's 5 BBY. In addition, the Chiss Ascendancy is in the Unknown Regions, not Wild Space as you mention early in the article. As you can see on a galaxy map here, Wild Space is on the other side of the Galaxy from the Unknown Regions. -- Selika 09:31, 5 May 2009 (MDT)

Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks for the minor edits. Soemtimes it is hard for me to work these out especially since we moved to a new format and a new way to run this. Just a thanks. - Brimstone 20:53, 6 May 2009 (MST)
