"Death is the failure of life. I will not fail!"
Luciferus, talking to himself after seeing Ithor destroyed by the Alien invaders

Dark Jedi Knight Luciferus "Scyrone" Leviathan is currently one of the only Ithorians in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, and contrary to Ithorian beliefs, loves war and combat.

History

Beginnings

"The galaxy is lifeless. Nobody wishes to improve, only change. Change is good, but not when it doesn’t make anything better."
Cerrum

X-oss Scyrone is an Ithorian born in the atmosphere of the planet of Ithor, on the date 20 B.B.Y., during the days of the Old Republic. Scyrone’s parents, Cerrum and Xilia, were environmentalists that worked for the Republic on matters of restoration of desert and arid planets and the up-keeping of planets that had been restored from a destructive state.

Scyrone also had two older, twin sisters, Jazzel and Jezzeel, whom when reached an appropriate age, would help with the conservation of there home planet and there Clan ships.

Like most Ithorians, X-oss Scyrone had a close connection to the Force. When he was around the age of two, the Jedi came to the planet Ithor (like they had over numerous times before), and searched for new-born Force-sensitives who could possibly aid the Jedi in the future. X-oss was one who the Jedi wished to have for there training. But Cerrum and Xilia had never fully trusted the Jedi training and the Jedi arts, so they denied the Jedi the custody of X-oss.

Growing up on Ithor was easy for Scyrone. Although he never paid attention to his parent’s works, he still appreciated the finer arts and ecological findings of Ithorian culture. The ideas Scyrone had more fun with were Politics, Religion, and Philosophy. These are what Scyrone valued the most in the galaxy. Scyrone even sometimes paid some attention to combat and different fighting arts.

Fear of the Imperials

The Empire took hold of the Galaxy and Ithor was one of the planets that weren’t pleased. The Empire lack of regard for peaceful races and especially non-Human races made the Ithorians a prime target for Imperial takeover. Fearing the Empire, Xilia and Cerrum had fled there Clan ships on Ithor and went into unknown parts of the galaxy. X-oss was taken by Xilia to Dantooine, and Cerrum took Jazzel and Jezzeel to the Outer Rim planet of Bespin.

Dantooine and the Rebels

"Where I went and what I did always affected the entities and nature around me. With such a destructive force raging throughout the galaxy, the things which I did to improve the galaxy will fall out of place and come crashing down onto the metallic, dead floors of the Empire."
Xilia

X-oss never fully enjoyed Dantooine. Although he enjoyed the open spaces and the beauty of it, he never liked the idea of working on a smelly farm on such a beautiful planet. He and Xilia owned a small farm on the plains of Dantooine. They worked on it by themselves to gain a living and to supply the nearby towns with food and industry.

When X-oss Scyrone was of age to look after the farm by himself, his mother decided to join the Rebel Alliance and fight against the Empire. Scyrone was irritated by her position to takes sides so easily in a petty conflict, that he would rather see her go cause war and destruction than stay on a peaceful planet. With that, Xilia sadly left Scyrone on the planet by himself.

Leaving with Friends

After the departure of Xilia, Scyrone had decided to sell the farm and take the droids he had gained for workers on the farm, and create his own friend (or custom droid). On Dantooine, X-oss had met a Wookiee by the name of Gryypyst. The Wookiee had talents at making and repairing droids, so Scyrone gave him a fair amount of money to create a custom droid. This droid was a personal combat droid and partial etiquette droid. Scyrone was so pleased with the job Gryypyst did that he asked the Wookiee to travel around the Galaxy with him. Gryypyst having nothing to do on Dantooine, agreed. Scyrone, Gryypyst, and 9T9 set off, on Gryypyst’s personal SoroSubb Luxury Yacht 3000, into the galaxy.

Exploration

"Exploration is key to understanding."
9T9

On the date of 2 BBY, Scyrone, Gryypyst, and 9T9 started to travel to undesired places in the galaxy. They had made a trip to Tatooine where they had their first glimpse of true disorder in the galaxy and true criminal desire. Then they traveled to Manaan for a glance at history. They learned of the Sith Empire and the Republic forces that had landed on the planet millennia before the current time, in search of the Kolto that the Selkath held. There last place of destination was Bespin.

Scyrone had learned of his father on Bespin and had wanted to meet him after all these years of separation. Their reunion was a happy one. Scyrone had learned that his father had become manager of a Tibanna gas operation and had earned many credits and fame for his tact in developing his own operation. X-oss had also learned of what happened to his sisters. Both the twins invested in a Galactic wide transportation business and had made millions of credits off of it. Scyrone was pleased at the outcome of his family, but the life of the rich and famous was not for him. When Scyrone had told his father of his mother’s actions to join the Rebel Alliance his father became distraught on what might happen to her. Scyrone, for the time being, decided to live with his father in his house on Cloud City. Gryypyst and 9T9 were also welcomed to stay and they did.

The Pain Begins

"Our family is in ruins. The Empire is to blame. What is really sad is that the people of the galaxy turn a blind eye to the ruin. It happened in the past with the Jedi, and now it happens again with the galaxy."
Cerrum

It was the end of the year 1 BBY and Scyrone was living safely in his father’s house. Rebel Alliance intelligence had secretly contacted the family. Scyrone had learnt of his mother current position on Alderaan as a secretive aide to Bail Organa. Scyrone was pleased to hear of his mother’s succession, but Cerrum did not feel as good about it as Scyrone did. No matter, Cerrum accepted this decision.

Only months later, Scyrone and Cerrum had heard of the destruction of Alderaan and all it’s inhabitants on the planet. The family felt hurt and emotionally injured because of the loss. This is where Scyrone had his first glimpse of true pain and suffering in his life.

After this event, things only got worse as a few months after that, two Ithorian females were executed publicly for transporting Rebels agents across the galaxy. These two females were later found out to be Jazzel and Jezzeel. Scyrone and Cerrum, fearing to be hunted down by the Empire, left Bespin and went into hiding.

De’Pillt Space Station

"The De’Pillt Space Station is a hub of galactic extortion and rebellion. In other words the finest soldiers in the galaxy would be found here."
9T9

After running away from the Empire for a few years, Scyrone, Cerrum, Gryypyst, and 9T9 had finally gotten away from the Empire. They had found residence on a space station in the Outer Rim. It was the De’Pillt Space Station. De’Pillt was known for it’s supply to space pirates and mercenaries. The Empire would not dare attack the Station as then every Merc and Pirate and Bounty Hunter would be on their tails. Here is where they stayed for quite a long time.

Hearing of the fall of the Empire in 3 ABY and the formation of the New Republic a few years later, Scyrone and his family and friends were able to come out of hiding. Bidding farewell to De’Pillt, Scyrone and his friends headed off into the Inner Rims on the galaxy. Cerrum chose to go back to Bespin to gain his fortune and then move back to Ithor, where his Clan ship still sailed.

Scyrone arriving on Kashyyyk

Loss on Kashyyyk

"The Wookiees will get what comes to them one day. By killing me they do not stop the primitive accusations that inflict them."
Gryypyst

Scyrone had always wondered why Gryypyst followed him around and where he came from. Mysteriously, Gryypyst had never spoken of Kashyyyk, and after they left De’Pillt Gryypyst wanted to return to Kashyyyk. On this return, Scyrone had learned everything about Gryypyst. Gryypyst was actually an outcast of Kashyyyk. The Wookiee had murdered a fellow Clan-mate for trying to betray his family into slavery of the Empire. The Wookiee authorities, not knowing of the true situation, had sentenced him to death. Luckily, Gryypyst had escaped their clutch and left off-planet to find work to do, leaving his family behind. Scyrone felt pity for the Wookiee and promised to help him restore his honor. Although the Galaxy had changed, his Wookiee Clan had not. Gryypyst was immediately taken into custody by his Clan and sentenced to death the next day. In a rescue attempt, Scyrone and 9T9 had defied the Clan and set free the depressed Wookiee. In a last act of courage, Gryypyst sacrificed himself to save Scyrone from certain death, letting Scyrone escape peacefully. Scyrone, however, was not at peace at all, and became incredibly angered by the acts of the foolish Wookiees.

The Sith

Having lost most of his family, and having lost his best friend to Wookiee “peace-keepers”, Scyrone traveled back to Dantooine to try to make himself at peace. What Scyrone discovered next was amazing. He had stumbled upon an old Jedi enclave. Although 9T9 was suspicious to go in, Scyrone took this opportunity to his advantage. The Ithorian had a tingling feeling inside. He didn’t know what it was, but he felt as though he was drawn to the Enclave. Scyrone went inside the Enclave and discovered the Jedi and the Sith history. He read it for hours on end, almost as though it was an addiction to him. Although anyone could see the bias of the Jedi in the history, Scyrone felt it from a different view. He saw it from the Sith view. In a fit of rage, Scyrone punched a crumbling wall of the Enclave. Not only did the wall fully break, but it had been smashed over 20 feet in front of him. It is then he discovered the nature of the force, and the realization that he, himself, could indulge himself in the force and make things better for him. It is then when he decided to reach out to the force and look for the Sith himself.

After the events that took place on Dantooine, Scyrone had started searching planets for the Sith and force-sensitives, while not going close to Yavin 4 or Coruscant. He traveled back to Manaan to regain the history he had forgotten of the place. He had traveled to Vjun, Ruusan, Kamino, Mustafar, Utapau, and the long forgotten Dagobah in search of the Sith and remnants of the force. It wasn’t until his time he went to Korriban that he discovered massive fluctuations of the force. Scyrone had had enough with exploring the Sith. He wanted to discover them.

The Dark Jedi Brotherhood

While traveling into unknown space, Scyrone and 9T9 had met up with a small frigate. It was a frigate of Clan Arcona. They had sent science frigates and vessels out to explore a part of the galaxy around the shroud, where Scyrone had stumbled close to. After joining up with the Dark Jedi Brotherhood and making his way to the Shadow Academy on Lyspair, Scyrone completed his Apprentice, Novice, and Acolyte training. This was all done in House Oriens Obscurum of Clan Arcona.

During a small explorers mission to Tatooine to discover artifacts and remains of Krayt Dragons, Scyrone had found a Master who was willing to teach him the true nature of the force and the ultimate nature of the darkness inside of us all. His name was Quejo Bandon Xyler. Quejo taught Scyrone many things about the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, but being in the opposing House, Scyrone’s training didn’t go too well all the time, and his Master was busy a lot of the time.

Scyrone thought of the Sith as a group of members who were to study the dark side in a fierce fashion. But seeing as though they were great pilots and great leaders, Scyrone wanted something more to strive for. Scyrone changed his Order to Obelisk because of his fascination with the art of combat and with his fixation on the dark arts of the force. This Ithorian wanted to defy his stereotype of peaceful, tree hugger and go beyond normalcy.

Double Promotion/Single Position

After entering many competitions and winning a lot of them, and by being available most of the time in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, Scyrone was promoted to Guardian, and with the promotion came a new position which Scyrone had wanted since he joined Clan Arcona. Scyrone became the Battleteam Leader of Bas-Tyra, the then one and only BT of House Oriens Obscurum. This promotions and position gained gave Scyrone a new view of the Brotherhood and in a new way he could use his abilities to help others in their darkness.

After being the Battle-team Leader for two months, Scyrone was promoted to Jedi Hunter. Within the rank of Jedi Hunter he became more experienced and believed he was becoming more fitted for the upcoming restlessness among the Clans.

The 7th War and Aftermath

The Great Jedi War had emerged and Scyrone became excited at the idea of blood and battle. When the two Jacs came out of hiding and showed themselves, Scyrone sided himself with the blue Jac. Scyrone had fought valiantly for Clan Arcona, experiencing combat he had never seen in a long time. But with the War ending and nothing left for Arcona to strive for, Scyrone resigned from the Battle-Team Leader position and took a small break from the Brotherhood. The Ithorian left the shroud to pursue other fascinations in life.

Plagueings of Plagueis

Scyrone had decided to come back to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood after a short break from it. But when he decided to go the Clan Plagueis, it was a big mistake for him. The Ithorian did not like the activity and did not like how everyone worked with each other. After a very short thought, Scyrone got tired of the Brotherhood all together. Seeing the unrest in the Clans left over from the Seventh Great Jedi War and seeing the future of hopelessness in him, and seeing as though his Master had left him, Scyrone left the shroud once again to never return to the distraught Brotherhood.

An Age of Enlightenment

Scyrone had surprisingly returned to the Brotherhood some while later, but this time he was a changed Ithorian. No one had known what had happened to him while he was gone, but he had hinted to some people that it had something to do with Dathomir. The first change that took place was the changing of his name to Luciferus Leviathan, taking Scyrone as his middle name. The second change was his self-image. He was no longer the lonely Ithorian whom trusted everyone and everything inside the Brotherhood. He had developed a greater sense of wisdom and logic, and had answered some of the many questions that he had plagued himself with his whole life. The third and final change was his Clan. Angered by his Arconan past and depressed of the Plagueins, he joined up with the Clan Scholae Palatinae. The Ithorian contacted Consul Braecen and asked the Krath Pontifex to make Scholae his home. Braecen gladly accepted him into the Clan. It was here that he would lay his foundation for a new home and make allies and deep friends in the Clan. It was on Judecca and Ptolomea that Luciferus would reside for the rest of his life.

Out of the Unknown

Luciferus "Scyrone" Leviathan participated in the test created by the Grand Master, Second Darkness. Was Luciferus ready for the Alien Invaders? It seemed so, and after participating in a small duel in the Rite the Ithorian thought he was ready for anything that was thrown at him. News of a new enemy spread across the galaxy. They referred to themselves as the an extremely natural society based on classes, ranks, and religious fanatacism infused with exploration and assimilation as part of their beliefs. The leaders of the DJB thought the Aliens would never penetrate the shroud. They were wrong. When the Aliens attacked Judecca, Luciferus never participated in the attack, but from afar he had written a poem about it. It was during this poem writing that Brotherhood scouts had received word that the Aliens were headed for Ithor, the homeworld of the Dark Jedi Knight, Luciferus. Luciferus immediately took a Leave of Absence and traveled as fat as he could to his homeworld. As he had arrived, the Ithorian became incredibly angered by what he saw. His homeworld was taken by the Force-devoid Alien invaders. The nature of the Mother Goddess that had been grown on Ithor for mellenia has been destroyed by a pathetic race of barbarian nature lovers. Many Ithorians had escaped the destruction, but Luciferus did not know if his family, who had still lived on Ithor, survived or not. It was then and there that Luciferus had declared the Aliens his sworn enemy, and the Ithorian would stop at nothing to kill them. But he still used his logic. Incredibly over-powered, and fear that the invaders might follow him back to the Shroud, Luciferus traveled to many other planets before returning to the DJB (scattering his escape from the Aliens). Luciferus came back to Judecca near the end of the Great Jedi War and had started his blood feast upon the Alien invaders upon his arrival.

Reclaiming the Power

The invaders had become erratic in the system of the Palatinae. Luciferus was fueled for action against the Aliens. But what happened in the Clan surprised him next. Consul Phoenix and Proconsul Lucien had decided that the three Houses of Scholae Palatinaae would compete for destruction of the attacking Aliens. Most of the competition House Dorimand Sol dominated the competition, with Caliburnus coming slowly in second, and Acclivis Draco far behind. But close to the end of the competition, Dracoins had sped up to the front, causing a genocide amongst the Force-devoid aliens, and left the Solians in third place. Luciferus wished that he had killed more Alien invaders for his House.

Senior Correspondent?

In the middle of 27 ABY, Derev Niroth put out an application for a new Senior Correspondent for the Dark Voice. Luciferus answered the call and was made the new Senior Correspondent. The Ithorian had submitted a few articles to the Dark Voice before, and had earned some Crescents and three Dark Side Scrolls in the process, so it seemed very likely that Luciferus deserved the position.

Just as Luciferus was starting on with the next articles though, the Jedi Hunter had received word that conflict on the latest issue had caused small arguments and fights among the DJB. Trying to maintain the peace, Luciferus tried to sort out differences among the DJB members, but his views were unnoticed by the Dark Jedi and eventually Derev had left the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. His position as the new Dark Voice Senior Correspondent was short-lived. Grand Master Sarin and his Deputy, Muz Keibatsu, had taken away the Dark Voice and are still working on something else that they have created for a replacement. Luciferus was unhappy to leave The Scribe, the DV's ship.

Deceptions and a Lightsaber

A few months after the mishappenings with the Dark Voice, House Caliburnus of Clan Scholae Palatinae had come into contact with a Hutt. This Hutt had somehow spied on what the House did to the Alien invaders and out of what seemed to be a kind gesture, but really a trap, gave House Caliburnus news ships. Unknown the Caliburnians, the ships had tracers on them that attracted many Trandoshans whom secretly had worked for the Hutt. Luciferus participated in the revenge of the House and had helped take down the Trandoshan mercenaries and the Hutt. The Hutt and his cronies were silenced.

Luciferus, for his actions in Deadly Deceptions and throughout his Jedi Hunter history, had attained the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. With the help of Braecen, Luciferus gained his Lightsaber. He immediately immersed himself in the study of Soresu, the Lightsaber form of defense.

An Individual's Peace

With all the happenings within the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, and with the recent Clan Feud between Scholae, Arcona, and Plagueis, Luciferus Leviathan decided that he needed a time of peace. During this time he would calm himself of past anger, give his aching body a rest, and use the time to work on random help around the Clan (cleaning ships, tanks, tending to the sick, repairing broken objects that need to be of use). The Ithorian would also use the time to study a multiple of different subjects. He was starting to do things that did not need to use of the force. He thought it would help him become more rounded with his ability and less force-focused. Luciferus was also given the ability to stay in Clan Scholae Palatinae even though he did not actively participate within it. He had become a Viscount within the Clan and received his parcel of land to live in.

Double Position

After quite a few months, Luciferus decided to join up in Scholae Palatinae again. As soon as he had joined, Luciferus was given the Command position of Nightshade Squadron of House Caliburnus. This was Luciferus' second time in the Battle Team Leader position and he promised himself he would not fail his members.

Soon after his gradual slide into the Nightshade Commander position, Luciferus was given the position of Aedile of House Caliburnus. Nervous at first about making a mistake, Luciferus did not want to upset the then-Quaestor, Archangel; because they both usually had a disagreement with each other. Once Luciferus became closer to the position of Aedile, he welcomed it. Only a few months later Dakari had replaced Archangel as Quaestor and the Ninth Great Jedi War started.

What we came for . . .

Luciferus fought hard in the Great Jedi War. He had pumped himself up for the battle against the Alien invaders, but when the realization that there were droids and Jedi on Antei instead of Aliens came true Luciferus had to rethink his tactics about going over the battles he would fight. Since Clan Scholae Palatinae was the first to land Luciferus was right in the lines with an AT-AT division. It was on that planet that Luciferus, Draco, and Tyno all fought three Jedi (two Padawans and a Knight). By the end of the War Luciferus had grown a lot closer with the Clan, and felt more giving to Emperor Thran than before.

Philosophy

TransHumanist

"That was the Emperor’s weakness; he didn’t combine the directivity of the machines with the silence of nature."
Scyrone

Luciferus believes that the ability to add cybernetic implants and prosthetics to one's self will make that person stronger. He also believes that a perfect balance of both cybernetics and organics will bring about the best in a person. Scyrone has yet to acquire the appropriate pieces and means to create prosthetic machinery to attach to himself.

Partial Hedonist

"There is no peace? Who would be so selfish as to deny what they do not know!"
Scyrone

Scyrone, although peace-loving and war-loving at different times, is partially a hedonist. He believes life should bring about pleasure. That is one of the many reasons he joined up with the Dark Jedi Brotherhood; for the pleasures of the force and friends.

The Force

"The dark side and light side are mirrors for the Jedi to reflect their evil deeds away from."
Scyrone

Scyrone believes that the force is only that; the force. He does not believe in a dark side or a light side. There is merely the force. It is the will and actions of the user of the force that make the powers light or dark.

Knowledge Without the Force

"The force alone is powerless. The might of knowledge and the power of the force is an ocean awaiting a fire."
Scyrone

Scyrone also heavily believes that the force should not be the sole focus of any force user. Scyrone believes that force-users should be taught other things (things without the help of the force) because it will bring out more experience for that person and it will help the force-user to be in touch with the world around him/her instead of just with the force. And if the day comes when the force is ever stripped from him, then he will be able to survive without it easily.

Luciferus "Scyrone" Leviathan also views part of this theory as a way to use the force with aid. For a prime example, Macron Keibatsu Sadow uses alchemy with the force. Some ancient Jedi Masters used technology or piloting skills with the force. Some Obelisks believe that the force should be used in unison with combat skills not from the force. Luciferus likes to involve combat and is currently studying using cybernetics and tactical knowledge with the force.

Anti-Humanism

"Humans made the Empire, Humans made the corrupt republic, Humans destroyed all they built. Those who do not cast away the shells of Humanity will forever serve as a tribute to ignorance."
Scyrone

Luciferus is a major believer in the idea of Anti-Humanism. He promotes his beliefs with the experiences that he has seen in the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire (mostly Human organizations). Luciferus blames Corran Horn, a Human Jedi Knight, for his lack of ability to prevent the destruction of his home world of Ithor. Although Luciferus has a great dislike for Humans, there are a few whom he has accepted as above the standard of what would be considered normal Human behavior, and has accepted them as equals. These people are Rasilvenaira Kaeth StormRaven, Braecen Kaeth, JScumm, Xathia, and Derev Niroth.

Ships, Equipment, and Weapons

Necrodeath

Luciferus’ personal ship was a SoroSuub Luxury Yacht 3000. Although it has no weapons of any sort, Luciferus gave it the name Necrodeath as a way to scare oncoming travelers from communicating with crew on the Necrodeath. Although a few times it would get him into sticky messes, usually the places he traveled he never got many questions asked about the ship or Luciferus’ friends. The ship itself was from one of Luciferus’ old Wookiee friends, Gryypyst.

The ship was lined with red carpets and different shades of green on the walls. Luciferus had a few plants here and there that he had gotten from Ithor from traders. The rooms that it has are usually made to look luxurious, with the exception of the armory room. Most pirates and looters that came across the ship wanted what was inside. Therefore, Luciferus skipped upgrading weapons on the ship and moved to add an armory so he could fight face to face battles with the boarders.

Luciferus’ Lightsaber

Dark Jedi Knight Luciferus uses the Paladin Lightsaber with a yellow blade. The reason is for simplicity. He does not like random buttons sticking off the side of his Lightsaber, or any special trims unless it helps with his grip of the Lightsaber itself. The yellow blade is one of the brightest blades. Luciferus likes it for the way it stands out above dark places. It attracts opponents towards him. Being secretive is obviously not a strong tactic for Luciferus.

Trivia

  • Scyrone was the last Senior Correspondent for the Dark Voice
  • Scyrone has no meaning in its name. It was purely made up by Scyrone by just putting a few random words together.
  • The 'c' in 'Scyrone' is silent, so there is no 'k' sound.
  • Scyrone was originally supposed to be another long-living species called the Gorgothians, but after much conflict (and a long argument with Dalthid) and after getting tired of all the long-living species, he decided to make himself Ithorian.
