The March Isles is an uninhabited island floating just off the coast of Olcas and is three hundred miles out from the nearest point of shore. It is considered to be Judecca's biggest island. It is also the home of the new House Imperium of Scholae Palatinae. As a jungle island with seasonal effects, the Isle has been prone to harsh weather conditions, such as tsunamis and hurricanes. This forced the local populations further into the land and to build protection against the natural forces. Because of it’s isolation from the mainland, March has been known to be susceptible to the occasional invasion by natives of Judecca. They quickly become ineffective and progress is being made to form a treaty. Scientists feel that the ocean life may be valuable to the rest of the planet's ecosystem so it has been left mildly untouched.

House Imperium History

House Imperium was founded shortly after the Great Jedi War of 38 ABY and Kell Dante was quickly selected to be its first Quaestor. While on a scouting mission at the Olcan coast, Dante picked up the island on his ship’s sensors and docked at the beach, this is where he decided the island was isolated enough from the mainland to be covert, and fortified enough by the local reef to be a fortress. Dante then decided that this uninhabited island would make the perfect place to plant a base of operations on Judecca. The newly appointed Quaestor received his orders to construct a base for the House members and situated the main building on a plains further into the dense forests, hidden from passing speeders and ships. Together, Dante and Zagro Fenn constructed the building and began proposals for more building construction.

Zagro then left the care of Dante as his Quaestor and was replaced by the infamous Talon Jade for a short period in order to reduce the dull paperwork for the construction period. Unfortunately Talon didn’t stay long and receded into the public eye. Lexiconus Qor took up the mantle of Aedile for the finalisation of the construction plans.

Due to the after effects of the invasion from the Judecca Abyssal, and the devastation it caused across Judecca, this Isle and the waters around it have changed. From causing an up-stir on the ocean bed, pillars of igneous rock ascended to the surface in a peculiar pattern that looks similar to a marching man. While devoid of terrestrial life apart from the odd crustacean, mollusc and various starfishes, the March Isles have been changed forever.

House Imperium Base

Imperium Main Base

Acting as the central point of discovery for the inhabitants of the Isle, the Base of Imperium is a large rectangular building stretching with two corridors through the middle, and ascending four stories excluding the dome. The dome itself houses archives treasured highly by the Force-sensitive members of the house, as the outside is painted artistically to soldiers of war guarding the contents inside. Its traditional windows are a modern day marvel that keep 100% of the heat inside. Straight and narrow alcoves ridge the building across the sides and partially the front, where windows sit neatly protected from heavy rainfall. On the very corner of the base sits a large and wide satellite dish that is the main source of communication for inter-planetary and inter-continental conferences. Representatives of Shadow Guard may take turns in standing guard of the doors while a summit meeting is taking place or a Clan member visits.

Barracks/Hangar

Imperium Barracks

The barracks and hangar for the new base are in one massive domed building with room to store vehicles and ships up to the personnel transport ships. The barracks is situated at the front of the main plains with the blast-proof doors sticking out of the cliff rocks that hug the dome protectively. Training regimes and night watch guards can be publicly seen for all in this small settlement.

Imperium Hangar

The hangar is nestled at the opposite side of the barracks facing towards the sea, while a raging waterfall rushes down at the dome and slides apart to make way for the hangar bay and runway. A small river sits below this raised runway and at times the local flora and fauna can be seen making this area their abode. At nighttime this hangar shuts down in the event of more predators and bovine walking inside for shelter and food.

Citizen’s Imperial Academy for the Public

Citizen’s Imperial Academy

The Imperial Academy is where the civilians loyal to the Emperor come to learn about service without joining the Imperial Scholae Guard. Here they also learn to be part of the Diplomatic Corp and are eventually transferred to the Diplomatic Center. This can range from teaching, research, medicine, construction, transport, retail, hospitality and other miscellaneous jobs.

Imperial DC Overview

The imperial Diplomat Center is where the civilian members of the Diplomatic Corp for the guard are stationed. They deal with trying to broker new alliances for House Imperium and for Scholae Palatinae as a whole. Though no new alliances have been made yet as the Corps begin their first policies and legislations for the House to fit in strongly with the Imperial system. Negotiations with outside the Clan are in progress.

In order to service the members of the various groups that are now temporarily stationed on the Isle, the Imperial Diplomatic Corps has brought in one of the most recognizable clubs in the Cocytus System, Big Daddy's. Currently, the club has a gentleman's section, a ladies' section, and a mixed area with dancing. There is also a full service buffet bar that many patrons enjoy during their visit to the establishment.

Trivia

As well as the terrestrial citizens living on the island, there is also a small settlement and research ‘bubble’ underwater. Nestled by the coral reefs, various aquatic species dive under and take samples and notes of what they find.
