History
Caelus Security, also known as C-Sec, was the law enforcement agency based on the moon Chyron after the fall of the Galactic Empire. By 34 ABY, Drayen Ky'Lian, was the Supreme Commander of C-Sec and is in direct control of Military in the Caelus System.
C-Sec was temporarily absorbed into Clan Taldryan's military after the death of Drayen Ky'Lian in 37 ABY. Within the year, however, C-Sec was reinstated as two separate organisations: the Caelus Patrol Fleet (CPF) and the Caelus Security Force (CSF).
Organization
Caelus Patrol Fleet
Politically, the Caelus Patrol Fleet is seen as a strong supporter of Caelus Council President Kain Eriston, due to Eriston's history as commander of the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer that later became Bastion Prison.
At its re-establishment in 37 ABY, the Caelus Patrol Fleet was centered around Sentinel Station, a Golan I orbital defense platform in low orbit around Chyron with a compliment of two squadrons of TIE Interceptors (Aurek and Cresh Squadrons). Iosan Fueling Station, a government-controlled XQ2 station in orbit above Iosan, doubled as a starfighter base with its compliment of one TIE/sa Bomber squadron (Besh Squadron) and three TIE/ln Fighter squadrons (Cherek, Dorn, and Esk Squadrons). The two installations were further augmented by two Carrack-class light cruisers (Caravela and Kurofune), two Lancer-class frigates (Knight and Janissary), and four Raider I-class corvettes.
Caelus Security Force
The CSF resumed its law-enforcement role in the Caelus System following its reinstatement, and often enlisted members of Clan Taldryan for help in its more difficult investigations. The organisation was headed by a former head of security for the Ky'Lian Family, and is widely seen as loyal to Chancellor Ceyra Ky'Lian.
The independent Caelus Security Force was composed of two battalions of troops. The majority of the CSF, including its TX-225 tank platoons and AV-7 artillery batteries, was stationed in and around the Imperial Sector of Chyron, while Sentinel Station and Iosan Fueling Station each kept one infantry company aboard to provide security.
