The Baron was an Imperial II-Class Star Destroyer under the jurisdiction of the Plagueis Naval Command. Originally acquired after the Eighth Great Jedi War, the vessel served as the flagship of the fleet until the Ascendancy assumed that role following the retaking of Antei. The Baron was eventually destroyed by forces loyal to Zoraan during the Horizons crisis.

Archie served on board the Ambition as Navigation Officer during the Invasion of Jusadih. When the ship was boarded and the CO and XO were killed by the alien attackers, Archie took command of the ship and was able to clear the entire ship of the invaders. His valor and courage during the battle earned him a promotion to Commander and an eventual placement as Commanding Officer of the newly acquired ISDII The Baron. He was killed when the ship was destroyed above Kapsina.

History
Kuat Drive Yards laid the keel of The Baron in mid 25 ABY as part of its expanding fleet-building deal with a Corporate Sector Authority subsidiary, in reality a front being used by the Dark Brotherhood. It would remain in storage at Xa Fel while the custom designed ships of the fleet were transferred to the Verpine for technical upgrades. In the aftermath of the Vong incursion into Brotherhood space it was presented to Clan Plagueis, christened in honor of the fallen member Baron Zarco, and served as the flagship for the Plagueis Navy until the NSD Ascendancy was commissioned. During the Horizons crisis, The Baron was tasked with the defense of Kapsina. The ship was destroyed following a protracted engagement with the enemy task force's command ship Avenger II.
Ship Designation
The Baron served on Task Force Oberon in an Offensive Designation. Commanding a Line entirely to itself, it would appear alongside the Perdition, Ballista, and the Atrum Pars II.
