War Marshal Norin is the current overall Military Commander of Taldryan's Forces. Despite his young age, he has steadily climbed the chain of command through dedication, valor, and skill. Regarded by many as one of the brightest military minds of the current generation, his name is known throughout the Kr'Tal System.

History Overview

The child that would one day become the War Marshal of Taldryan was born to Corellian immigrants on Taruma. Despite his rather bland upbringing, his parents being small-time store owners, Norin always aspired to be something greater. Growing up with the stories of his father, a former CorSec officer, the boy felt an irresistible desire to enter the military. Keth entered the Taldryan Military Institute at the age of 20, enrolling as one of the very first cadets in what would become a successful training regime. Despite his sober upbringing, Keth still holds various record scores in both theoretical and practical courses to this very day.

After a year of rigorous training in the academy, Norin joined TalEx - enlisting in the Taldryan Navy. His excellence at the academy and his commitment to his missions enabled the young man to quickly blaze through the rank structure. Starting out as a crewman, he made his way to Warrant Officer in 2 years time. Sponsored by High Admiral Tak Vordin, Keth returned to TMI and enrolled in the Katarn Academy. Here the young man learned how to bear the chains of command, while fine tuning his strategic prowess. His natural charisma and straight forward approach to the completion of objectives lad the young man to becoming popular with many of the other students. While he could have easily slipped into an elitist mindset, he was famous for seamlessly blending in with any sub-group - as if he changed to fit among the people he was talking to - which only increased his popularity with new learners.

Fresh out of the Academy, he was elevated to the rank of Rear Admiral. Taking command of CSD Justice, Norin experienced multiple conflicts - some were successes, while others were failures. It was during this time that he became less strict with protocol, rather focusing on getting things done, no matter how. Multiple officers under his command were given the ability to oppose his orders if they were able to justify their decision and forward another option. This caused some friction between Norin and High Admiral Vordin, who was known to strictly adhere to protocol. Yet his open-minded approach gave him the respect and love of those he commanded. As a result of the respect that Norin commanded in the common forces, he was promoted to War Marshal, not only standing on equal footing with the man that started his officer career, but overtaking him.

The Dark Jedi Overlords of House Taldryan had selected Norin because he could be molded, like clay in their hands. Effectively a puppet under their control, giving the esoteric Force-wielders a link to the common folk that they could exploit to further their own ends. However, over the course of several years, Norin wouldn't stay their little pet. When not on duty, or sitting in on meetings of TalSOC, he studied, learned, grew. Cutting the strings of his Dark Jedi puppeteers, Norin would finally live up to the position he was put in. While he could have easily been disposed of, replaced by a new puppet, the War Marshal stayed in office. His new found determination and dedication to TalEx commended on by Lord Jac Cotelin himself. The young War Marshal is still going strong; admired by students at TMI, loved by his subordinates, and respected by his fellow officers and many of Taldryan's Dark Jedi.

Physical Description

Standing at 1.85 meters (6'1") with calculating eyes, set in a stern face framed by sleek, black hair; Norin has the appearance of a holodrama actor. But it would be wise to not be deceived by the man's good lucks; Norin's military experience is visible in every fiber of his being. His lithe frame bestows the Marshal with an above average agility, one that conceals a surprising amount of wiry strength. War Marshal Norin keeps himself at his physical peak by following strict exercise regimes.

Personality and traits

Despite his obvious appeal to females of any age and his Corellian ancestry, the War Marshal's true love and dedication go out towards the military. Possessing great wisdom in warfare, Norin is a fierce soldier who sparks fear and admiration among his enemies, colleagues, and allies. Although he holds a calm and collected demeanor, he possesses such a strong and overbearing presence that even some Dark Jedi can become intimated by him.
