"Oriens Coactum - The Rising Force"
― Blue Mist motto

A Battle Team within House Galeres of Clan Arcona

History

Blue Mist is a fairly new Battleteam, created to serve Galeres around the time that the Dark Inquisitors, a House Qel-Droma Battleteam, was installed within Clan Arcona. Blue Mist is the second Battle Team for House Galeres, the other being Soulfire Strike Team, the Elite Team of Arcona. The team is still new but is on the rise.

The Crest of Blue Mist

"Why the stang is it red?"
―Dathka Lukkel to Commander Talos Annedu

Indeed the Crest of Blue Mist is red, though this is commonlly associated with the blood that the Battleteam spills in honor of Galeres and Arcona. The blade-like image that runs vertical with the three black marks repersents the offensive capabilites of Blue Mist and the black marks each repersent a different virtue that the men of Blue Mist follow. Those are Brotherhood, Loyalty, Virtue. Brotherhood repersents the overall orginazation that Blue Mist is part of and also the bond that the Troopers often form during their time as brothers-in-arms. Loyalty is another big one for Blue Mist; it shows who they answer to, Arcona and Galeres. As with Brotherhood, each Trooper displays outstanding loyalty to their Commander and each other, a thought of betrayl would never cross their minds. Virtue is the least known one to the Dark Jedi outside of Blue Mist but for the Battleteam it is no less important. Blue Mist is a Battleteam made up of Dark Jedi of all Orders but they are not ruthless killers. They hold virtue to each kill, never killing unless they have to or Galeres wills it. (However any killing that a Trooper of Blue Mist may do outside of Battleteam duties is their own affair and holds no ties to Blue Mit). So with blade running vertical and three 'Tenets' of Blue Mist adorning the top, the two half squares must be explained. The two squares, when combined, form a shield-like object, showing the defense of Blue Mist, both in combat and in their duty to Galeres. When divided, the squares mantain balance and equality in Blue Mist. While the Commander has the final say-so, each Trooper has their own voice and is free to voice it on all matters and will be heard and considered with the same respect as that of the Commanders. The black circle in the background is the part of the Crest that encompasses all of the symbols, meanings and virtues previously explained.

Campaigns

Past

Cian Campaign

The first mission of Battleteam Blue Mist under the command of Commander Talos Annedu.

Results: Commander was injured; No men killed in action; Campaign successful.

Broken Saber

Clan responds to Soulfire Strike Teams distress call on the planet of Reecee. Longest campaign of Blue Mist with no substantial injuries. Final results are unknown but extraction of Soulfire and their mission objective was confirmed.

Present

House Feud of Galeres against Qel-Droma.

Results: Currently no fatalities. Trooper Illian Syn shot down onto the surface of Eclipse. Feud is still in progress.

Future

Nothing confirmed but rumors show that certain cults may be pooling their resources and may pose a threat to Galeres but this is yet unconfirmed.

Tactics

Blue Mist displays many combat tactics in battle and while they may not be as special-forces oriented like Soulfire, they still prove deadly. Some of the common tactics are listed below.

Run-and-gun

As the name states, this is a pure offensive move and is used for fast 'skirmishes' and for providing cover-fire.

Ghost-Fire

This is also a pretty self-explanatory manoveur. This is usually used by a sharpshooter for the Battleteam and the purpose of this is to provide pure cover-fire. Usually this is used for surprise attacks, distracting the enemies while the rest runs in. The requirment of a 'Ghost' is to be able to have true aim, fire quickly and be able to move quickly and set up again equally fast.

Kad Kar'ta

This tactic is in full Mando'a and means 'Saber Heart'. This is for ground combat only and no blasters are used only mele`e weapons such as beskads, lightsaber, vibro-weapons and such. This tactic is usually used to punch through the front lines and do massive damage.

Jet-Trooper

However awesome it would be, Blue Mist was denied jet-packs for the time being. This refers to a pair of Blue Mist Troopers utilizing the Force in an extreme manuover. One cups his hands as if to give the other Trooper a boost and that is exactly what happens. The 'jet-trooper' sprints towards the booster and step up into the cupped hands and jumps as the booster lifts his hands to throw him with the aide of the force. The first time this move was enacted was between Dark Jedi Knight Illian Syn, who was the 'jet-trooper' and Commander Talos Annedu Xyler, the booster, in the final battle of the House Feud that ended recently.

Armory

While each Blue Mist Trooper is tecnically entitled to their own set of armor, all of the Troopers armor bears a similar quality to the others. Talos had a set of Sith Trooper Armor re-forged and upgraded and has given it to his Battleteam so that when they go into battle, they are known not only by their actions but their look as well. The only adherence to this is the Commander who wears his Mando beskar armor at all times due to tradition of the Mandalorian culture, which he is slowly taking on. It is to be noted that the second in command is entitled different armor as well but the current second, Legorii, now fights in Blue Mist standard but, with the help of Talos and his brother Anubis, is searching for something that befits a Obelisk Corporal.
