"I serve myself and my master. This Brotherhood of yours is nothing to me."
―Aidan Kincaid

Aidan Kincaid is a Human male Dark Jedi who woke up in a mysterious facility with no memories. By chance or fate, he was discovered by Jac Cotelin who accepted him as an apprentice—a hidden disciple kept far from the Dark Brotherhood. For years, Kincaid trained in seclusion with either his master or a pair of heavily modified IG-100 MagnaGuards, living in the harshest environments. Eventually, he was sent on missions at his master's behest. The nature of his secret apprenticeship allowed Kincaid to serve behind the scenes and complete objectives his master was unable or unwilling to dirty his hands with.

However, the Dark Crusade put an end to his anonymity. Cotelin inducted Kincaid into the Brotherhood to help fill the void left in the wake of so many senseless deaths. Due to his combat prowess and strength in the Force, Cotelin was able to pull some strings to elevate Kincaid to the rank of Dark Jedi Master. Now, Kincaid serves as a member of the House, Taldryan, where he remains an outsider due to his antisocial personality and the unusual situation surrounding his transfer.

Physical Appearance

Aidan Kincaid is a tall, slightly built, human male in his mid-thirties. He has gaunt, angular features with high cheekbones and a sharp, hooked nose. His eyes are a piercing brown under a hooded brow. His face is left rough and unshaven, and has noticeable scarring on his cheeks, likely from a bladed weapon.

Kincaid wears black, form-fitting body armor and ankle-length black leg wraps. Multiple belts criss-cross around his waist were he stows his two lightsabers. Over the armor, Kincaid dons long, flowing black robes with blue trim open in the front. He almost always wears his hood up, casting deep shadows across his face.

Personality and traits

"He's obviously dangerous, Jac. What the hell made you think bringing him here was a good idea?"
―Keirdagh Cantor, demanding explanations from Jac Cotelin

Kincaid is antisocial. Because of his lack of past and unique upbringing, he has trouble working within groups or teams and prefers to handle matters solo. Kincaid has his own methods and snipes at any attempt for someone to wield authority over him, except for his Master, Jac Cotelin. This has made him an outsider within his new home of Taldryan and he is distrusted by the leadership and Elders of the House. One will not find Kincaid "making friends" with the other members of the Brotherhood, and his personality assures none will ever try to approach him first.

Kincaid has both ice and fire in his veins. His features are usually shrouded by an emotionless mask; cold eyes, cold voice, cold heart. There is seemingly nothing that can shake his confidence and he exudes an almost arrogant air when dealing with other people, whether they are supposed to be friend or foe. His body language—his walk, his gestures, his expressions—are all cool and calculated.

But he sheds that mask in the heat of battle—in the midst of vicious brutality—to reveal an overwhelming passion... a malevolent joy in combat. He is unassailable faith in his own power and abilities and seemingly fears nothing and no one.

Powers and abilities

"You are... unusually gifted for a new member of the Brotherhood. I have convinced them to elevate you to a rank deserving of your talents."
―Jac Cotelin, informing Kincaid of his elevated status to Elder

Kincaid's apprenticeship under Jac Cotelin has spanned over two decades and focused on brutal, life-or-death training. Kincaid's natural aptitude in physical combat is heavily augmented by his raw strength in the Force. Kincaid excels at augmenting himself with Amplification, pushing far beyond the limits of the human body to achieve incredible feats of prowess in battle. His only weapons are his dual, untwinned lightsabers and he tends to make use of the Ataru form for solo engagements, only drawing upon his secondary blade and the Jar'Kai variant when handling multiple opponents.

Precognition

Kincaid instinctively seeks out battle, paying little heed to danger or orders. Most of his ability is focused on his deadly offense. However, having spent so many years engaged in mortal combat, Kincaid has developed his ability to predict an opponent's moves. This has enhanced his adeptness with Precognition, which he relies on for defense. He trusts in his instincts and in guidance from the Force to protect his back, rather than wasting time to defend it himself.

Weapons

"Master these weapons, Aidan. They will become your life."
―Jac Cotelin, handing Kincaid his twin lightsaber hilts

Lightsabers

I dunno... Hilts provided by le Jac, color crystals obtained by Kincaid.

"The hilt was simple and elegant in style, with a small, wickedly sharp blade protruding from the base of the emitter and four smaller blades projected around the bottom. These blades were designed to be used in close quarters combat, when the length of a lightsaber blade was too unwieldy to use effectively."

Assassin Lightsaber

The Assassin Lightaber

Something something about Jac awarding it to Kincaid for something or other.

The bracer of the Assassin Lightsaber was constructed with the extremely versatile Durasteel, which could resist the blistering heat of the blade, ensuring minimal risk to the wielder from accidental burning during combat. The inherent strength of the alloy also gave it a measure of protection against physical attacks. However, because it was created as a reward, the weapon was plated in rare Electrum, giving it a gold and silver veneer and marking it as an especially ornate and beautiful tool for killing.

When equipping the blade, Kincaid often hid the flashy gauntlet under the sleeve of his outer robe, which kept the weapon hidden and wouldn't impede the dagger-like blade. The hidden blade was activated by quickly flexing the wrist backwards at a precise 90° angle, which gave the wearer full control over when and how it was employed in battle.
