Character History

Early Life

Ragnar Kul was born on Arx prior to Exodus to parents who owned a tavern and gambling hall. With the influx of Brotherhood military and support personnel business boomed for the Zeltrons. During one incident however over unpaid gambling debts his parents were killed by operatives of the Clan Tarentum. This left a deep seated resentment of those who possess Force Powers.

Kul's solitary and neglected upbringing had a deep impact on the inquisitive and naturally outgoing Zeltron. Without an outlet for his budding social needs or companionship, he turned to reading and studying as a means of expression. He also learned to be highly manipulative and cunning as well. In his mid-teens he began working for the nascent criminal underground that would one day become the Shroud Syndicate.

Smuggling Apprenticeship

Ragnar's early career saw him ferrying contraband relics of the nascent Krath Order. The esoteric arts and knowledge spoke to the inquisitive young man who quickly made a mark as a composed and polished operator. During these early years he learned to hone his marksmanship and piloting skills. His ability to find, fence, and deliver cargo undetected brought him to the attention of the Shadow Academy.

Trials at the Shadow Academy

Kul's arrival on Lyspair came as a surprise to the now experienced man in his early twenties. He spent years here rising through the ranks learning everything he could while holding a cover identity with Clan Scholae Palatinae. He was a keen informant on the Clan's activities who facilitated covert infiltration and exfiltration of Shadow Academy assets. Eventually, the leadership of the Clan began to suspect his motives and he faked his death for the first time once an offer from the Inquisitorius came to give him a new cover identity.

Service to the Inquisitorius

These missions, and many other classified projects, gained Ragnar high regard within the Inquisitorius, and he attained the rank of Grand Inquisitor. In order to continue his career and search for access to more information and ancient artifacts, Ragnar begrudgingly accepted an offer to join Clan Odan-Urr. This was a bittersweet experience as Ragnar had played a role in the destruction of the Tythonian Colonial Alliance previously. It was in this deep cover operation that Kul gained much military and leadership experience. He began to have a falling out with the Clan due to his work with the Voice of the Brotherhood who had taken him under his wing. He retreated back to his old underworld connections as he faked his death for a second time and took up work with the Shroud Syndicate once more.

Assignment Within Clan Vizsla

Ragnar has recently joined Clan Vizsla now that he attained the rank of Boss. Venturing out to assist the Mercenary (order) forces and providing critical smuggling capabilities with his heavily modified YT-2000 freighter, the Lucky Hand.
