The Ascendancy is an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer that serves as the flagship of Clan Plagueis and its Ascendant Fleet. It was formerly part of the Imperial Navy as the Nemesis. Acquired by Plagueis in 34 ABY from a surplus yard in the Ganthel system, it was refitted and rearmed over the next 18 months and joined the Ascendant Fleet in 35 ABY.

The Ascendancy is under the day to day command of Captain Owen Serrus, but often is under the authority of Admiral Cyvaria Ranin when the destroyer serves as her flagship. It is the command ship of Command Force Aurek, but also serves as overall fleet command during combined operations.
