History

Quaestor Koryn Thraagus

Following the reformation of House Scholae Palatinae into a Clan in 38 ABY, House Excidium was formed under the jurisdiction of the Clan to provide more of a hierarchy. Named after the Victory class Star Destroyer and former Clan flagship, Excidium resides within its own right as a house under the Clan of Scholae Palatinae, led by its first Quaestor Koryn Thraagus, constantly continuing to build up its history.

Contrary to House Imperium, which upholds the traditions of the Imperial Armed Forces and operates in plain sight within Scholae’s military, House Excidium has taken to a decentralized approach and works along the Imperial Scholae Intelligence. Where House Imperium may act within the law of the Empire and take the limelight, Excidium is the unit for the dirty jobs that must not be associated with the Emperor. As such, it has drawn many of the darker and more violent members of the Clan, some even outright criminal.

Red Fury

Although the freshly founded House participated in the Red Fury campaign in early 39 ABY, it was overshadowed by the other combatants.

Survivors Campaign

Later in 39 ABY, the whole Clan was involved in the efforts against the “Survivors”, leftovers from The Cause and the Scions of Cocytus. During these struggles Excidium managed to beat Imperium to three of the five strategic objectives, led by the omnipresent experience of Battlelord Archangel Palpatine and the boundless brutality of the late-joining Jedi Hunter Jorm "The Jester" Na'trej who got knighted for his efforts.

Underworld Overtaken

This quick and dirty clean-up operation after the Survivors campaign did not see great participation by the House, save for Aedile Lucyeth and the overseer Jorm Na'trej.

Deception Uprising

Quaestor Lucyeth

During the operation against the Evanescant and the Pacre Datship on Ptolomea, House Excidium provided three out of the five most successful agents. Archangel Palpatine and Jorm Na'trej spearheaded Excidium's efforts once more and, providing both intelligence and brutally quick strikes. Close to the end of the campaign, Lucyeth, who had not stood by idly and shone across the board, succeeded the suddenly departing Koryn Thraagus as Quaestor.

Headquarters

Secrecy is paramount to the young House, for its own sake and in the interest of the Emperor. For this reason the nominal Headquarters are located on Caina. Subterran hangars in the city of Daemon, registered to a transport company, service the House’s small fleet and hide its vehicles. The headquarters proper are located in an abandoned holiday resort built from a stripped mine. The lavish luxury resort has first been built during the reign of the Galactic Empire and struggled throughout its existence and is officially closed for renovation and reconstruction. In truth, it is completed and adapted to serve as the House’s point of retreat and training ground. It is connected to the hangars by the forgotten mines charted by the defunct Dorimad Sol.

Fleet

House Excidium entertains a small fleet of freighters and fighters under the colorful label “Frozen Transports & Logistics”, a transport company which specialises in intra-system trade and supply runs to remote outposts. Used ship trade provides a secondary income. The company is a civil contractor of the Imperial Navy and actually does what it claims to do; however, it also carries the House’s forces through the system, ready to strike at moments notice. Following the suggestion of one of its more criminal members, the fleet largely consists of ships which are not exclusive to the Empire for reasons of subterfuge.

The backbone is formed by a quartet of GR-75 Medium Transports, a model usually associated with the Rebel Alliance. Each of these freighters usually carries at least one Force User and is customized for a special task, their clamshell hulls and numerous freight pods ideal to conceal the necessary equipment. The armament, engines and equipment have been beefed up, and some of the carrying capacity has been sacrificed to make space for the larger crew. Most of these ships bear customized banners. Freight pods can be used to expand the ship's’ abilities as needed. The non-imperial names and appearances have been chosen deliberately to disassociate the ships from the Empire and give Excidium a bit more space.

Hoth

This ship, specialized on boarding and buccaneering, carries a massive hidden v150 Ion Cannon and a complement of Marines and Zero-G Stormtroopers.

Yavin Runner

The Yavin Runner conceals six TIE Interceptors and two additional missile tubes. It is used for anti-piracy operations or as escort for other ships.

Endor Nights

The ground pounder amongst the House's ships carries at least two Force Users and a platoon of Special Forces in addition to two squads of combat hover vehicles and two Y-Wings. This ship is the rapid reaction force for ground-based threats and will make planetfall more regularly than the others.

Bothawui

The last of Excidium's GR-75s is filled to the brim with espionage equipment. It can listen in to comm transmissions half a system away and crack encryptions and networks faster than fast food chains can serve a meal. This ship is the only GR-75 which doesn't always carry a Force User, and currently does not display a custom banner like the others.

Flying Wares

The Fleet also makes use of various smaller ships to ferry House members around when none of the GR-75s is needed or available. These smaller craft range from Z-95 Heeadhunters (corporate security) over second-hand Lambda class shuttles to YT series transports. The collective name originates with a moderately drunk Knight and hints toward the auxiliary fleet's nature: They are officially bought and sold by FT&L for additional income.
