Vessel Info
The Corra is a modified corvette in the service of the Shadow Academy. Its primary roles are the training and defense.
History
The Corra is the second corvette to be assigned to the Shadow Academy. The ship first appeared as part of "clone" Jac Cotelin's forces during the 6th Great Jedi War, bearing remarkable similarities in almost every regard to the Palantir. Recognized as the Palantir's sister ship, it was not given to one of the clans. When the war ended, then Headmaster Anshar Kahn Tarentae commandeered the vessel, placing it as part of the Shadow Academy fleet, a small force within the Antei Defense Fleet.
The Corra is named for an ancient goddess of prophecy. The ship, like her sister ship the Palantir (hence forth renamed the Sirona), primarily serves as a duel purpose as both a training vessel as well as a defensive ship for the Shadow Academy. The ship is also unofficially recognized as being under the command of the Praetor to the Headmaster, though the ship rarely left the Antei system prior to the Eighth Great Jedi War.
During the evacuation of Lyspair, the Corra took on the majority of the Shadow Academy's staff members, both Force using and non-Force using, who were still present at the time. The ship remains in the service of the Shadow Academy, but, like the Sirona, it has had several of its turbolasers, as well as its tractor beams and fighter racks, replaced by six quad laser cannons to provide anti-starfighter cover for the Arcanum.
The ship was eventually replaced by the Azura, an Agave class picket ship.
