Atrum Pars Deux was the lone Interdictor in the Clan Plagueis Navy following the Eighth Great Jedi War. She was named after the the Atrum Pars, a ship that was destroyed during that war.

Construction

Seinar Fleet Systems began construction on the ship that would eventually be christened the Atrum Pars II in 25 ABY. She is an Immobilizer 418 Cruiser and was one of four sister Interdictors built all at the same time. Her sisters were drafted into the New Republic Navy and she was only just able to evade confiscation.

Born in the Chiss Ascendancy, Severus was one of few Chiss to join the Imperial Remnant. He was drawn to fellow Chiss, Grand Admiral Thrawn and remained with the Remnant after his death. After the Exodus, he remained with the Emperor's Hammer and served as the Commanding Officer on board the INT Red Shadow. During a routine boarder patrol, he discovered a group of Dark Jedi attempting to leave the Hammer and join the newly established Dark Jedi Brotherhood at Antei. With the Yuuzhan Vong bearing down on the galaxy, he decided that a change of venue would help him stay alive, particularly if that new location included some of the most powerful beings in the Galaxy. After bringing in the Jedi ring leader and told him of his plan. The Jedi agreed to bring along the Chiss. Discovering that Antei was overtaken, they instead went to the Jusadih System, joining up with Clan Plagueis. After learning of his history and expertise with Interdictor Cruisers, Braecen Kaeth gave him command of the newly acquired Atrum Pars Deux.

History

With the Xa Fel facilities humming to crank out the core of its new fleet, the Brotherhood’s CSA façade turned to additional sources of hardware. Many craft would ultimately come from the manufacturing centers of Sienar Fleet Systems, among them hundreds of fighters and the valuable Interdictor Cruiser design. Construction on the Atrum Pars II began in the last throes of 25 ABY, ending amid rumors that the New Republic might confiscate the ship, albeit with compensation. With the Yuuzhan Vong invasion reaching new levels of urgency after the decimation of Ithor and its supply of Voduun killing Bafforr pollen, a newly built ship of this tactical import was an understandably tempting target for seizure. The New Republic failed to issue such a directive, however, and the vessel was quietly whisked away to join the assembling fleet at the Xa Fel storage yard. There it would wait until the Brotherhood arrived to claim its new fleet. With the battered Dark Jedi regrouping from the savagery of the Vong, the interdictor was put under Plagueian control. With some irony this ship, destined to remain on the periphery of combat, was named after the Clan’s premier battlecruiser destroyed by the Vong.

Designation

The Atrum Pars II currently serves along side the Ballista on Line B of Task Force Oberon. She acted as the final touch in a strategic maneuver designed by Braecen Kaeth, keeping it impossible for the Crimson Tide Capital Ship from escaping Kapsina aerospace.
