| Merit medals are, next to competition medals, the most common awards for activity in the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood]] and are given for exemplary work on single projects or consistent activity over a period of time. The value of each merit medal varies from the [[Dark Cross]] bring rewarded for completing a single exceptional DJBWiki article to the [[Grand Cross of the Dark Side]] given for rewriting an entire department of courses in the [[Shadow Academy]]. Merit medals can be awarded by most house and clan leaders and help push members closer to their next promotion.
