Karth Orsai is the designated Navigation Officer aboard the AGV Nighthawk. He is also the acting-Helmsman in Kalon Tsucyra Entar's absence.
Character History
Early Life
Karth was born on the planet Iridonia in 18 ABY, the only child of two well-reputed mercenaries who had stopped off on the Iridonian homeworld for a year long break from their violent careers.
As they had left the planet shortly after Karth was born, he spend the majority of his time growing up aboard his parent's YT-1250 freighter and as such was quite familiar with the operation and handling of such vessels by the time he was an adolescent. This was due to his parents absences whilst on assignments, Karth spent a large amount of time on his own, which made him very experienced in taking care of himself; a trait that would stick with him into his years of adulthood.
In 33 ABY the barely matured Iridonian was granted permission to travel with his parents to Port Ol'val, a hollowed-out astroid that became a key point for smugglers and criminal activity on the edge of the Dajorra System. It was here that Karth took a chance and ditched his parents at the Port, leaving with only the clothes on his back along with the credits that had been passed down to him from his family's accumalted wealth. This separation came when he grew an urge to live a life away from the confines of his parents and their ship.
Adulthood
For several years Karth took up the profession of smuggling goods in and out of the system for a local crime family, purchasing a reliable freighter with the riches he had taken with him.
His reputation grew along with his daring, completing assignment upon assignment without question or hesitation, no matter the difficulty. Eventually, Karth attracted the attention of the Dajorra Intelligence Agency, who had been looking for talented pilots within the area to contribute to the expansion effort of Clan Arcona.
The fact that Karth could also operatate fearfully close to the Maw without much effort impressed several of the organisation's higher-ups. When the young Iridonian was offered a job by the DIA in 36 ABY he immediately accepted and upon the completion of his basic training was assigned as a Navigation Officer to the new Agave-class Picket, the Nighthawk.
Operation: Sojourn
Karth had a rather large role aboard the Nighthawk during the Operation, assisting Kalon in the cockpit by consulting the star charts of the Hapan system to help the vessel reach Millinar in one piece. He also would single-handedly fly the ship during his designated shifts, allowing the Helmsman to rest and recuperate before manning the flight controls once more. The Iridonian managed to handle the pressure of working with the grumpy Mandalorian and as a result earned a sliver of respect from his superior.
