Incendus is a dark jedi and a member of the Order of the Sith. His name come's from his family's own language, and translated, means "he who burns inside."
Incendus joined the Empire in 1 BBY, and was admitted to the 501st Legion, also known as Vader's Fist. He participated in many major missions, including the assault on Hoth. His most notable, however, was an assault on Kashyyyk against revolting wookiee warriors. This had been in 2 ABY, and by then, Incendus had been established as a commando in Mercenary Squad, a unit of elite commandos who did the quiet work for the Empire. He was the lieutenant commando, and he helped his teammates- Shadow, Flare, Dust, and the commander of the squad, Bolt, breach the wall to the oil refinery, while the wookiees were distracted by the Stormtroopers spilling out onto the beach. He had become really close with the commander, Bolt. This is what nearly lost the mission and possibly the entire planet.
Embers was struck by a sniper, and dropped to the ground while Flare and Dust held off the wookiee who fired the bolt. Shadow rushed to the commanders aid, followed by Incendus, but it was to late. It was a clean shot to the head. The commander was gone. while Shadow attempted to contact the capital ship, Incendus was devising a plan to complete their mission: There was a exiled jedi here, and Mercenary Squadron was sent to kill him. Unfortunately, only the commander knew the name.
"All we have to do is look for the guy with the lightsaber," remarked Flare.
"It's simple, but I guess that's all we have," said Shadow. "I can't get in touch with the air squadron that was supposed to pick us up here. We'll just have to leave Bolt."
"I wish it was different, but your right," replied Incendus.
When the LAAT arrived, there was, as the team had predicted, no way to get the commander on. "He's dead, and we don't need the extra weight," said the landing officer. Incendus nodded in agreement and they flew to the main stronghold, where the jedi was taken down by Dust's sniper rifle. After this incident, Incendus was made leader of Mercenary, and a new troop, Nova, had joined the team.
Nova, as a commando, already had skills that would be an asset to the team. He was very familiar with explosives, and helped his team during the attack on Hoth, where they were to rig a hidden intelligence station, a mission unknown to the galaxy to this very day.
Eventually, the squadron grew even more. In it's final days, it contained 8 men, all with different personalities and skills.
In the end, there was only chaos for the team. During the battle of Endor, the team was to burn out a rebel beachhead that had been established. The mission went so wrong that everyone except for Incendus, Flare, and Nova were killed. They eventually fled to the jungle, and had to watch the Death Star explode.
Joining the Brotherhood
When the Death Star had blown up in 4 ABY, Incendus had already grown weary and disapproving of the Empire. He fled into the darkness, never to be seen by his team again.
He eventually appeared on the radar again. In 36 he came to the Shadow Academy, where he was put into Clan Arcona and House Qel-Droma. When he was promoted to Acolyte, he was assigned to a master named Andrelious J. Inahj.
Shadow Gate Mission 1: The Ancient Sith Artifact on Korriban
Incendus' first mission after SG Training was a dispatch to Korriban to retrieve a stolen Sith artifact. The person who stole it was unknown, but Incendus' master, Andrel, who was not even a member of Shadow Gate anymore, had ironically sensed that the culprit was on their way to Korriban. Incendus had asked Zakath if he could take this mission. This was an emergency, so Incendus was sent immediately after the artifacts were discovered stolen, and was given a temporary extra armory saber for the occasion. On the way there, Incendus put the ship on auto-pilot so he could tamper with his sabers, a hobby he had picked up since learning Banlanth. He replaced the blue crystals with some stronger red crystals, to better prepare himself.
"The sad thing is that I only know Banlath," he said to himself, laughing under his breath. "And I'm still quite inexperienced with that style too. The only reason I really picked this mission was to test my skills to see if I have gotten any better." He finished closing the sabers and set them to his side. "I have got to stop talking to myself."
Upon descent into the atmosphere, Incendus was already feeling uneasy. I shouldn't have done this mission, he thought to himself as he looked at Korriban under a starry, dark sky. Korriban is creepy enough, but it's even worse at night. The wind howls, and it makes me think of the voices of the dead Sith that once inhabited this godforsaken spit of land. Suddenly, the radio in the ship shut off.
Incendus looked out the window, and was awestruck at what he saw. Out in the distance, there was a hooded black figure, slowly dissipating in the wind. After it had completely disappeared, the ship's entire system shut down. Incendus grabbed his supplies and ejected the seat, landing on his feet while the ship crashed to the ground.
"Well, I hope that Zakath's backup that he promised arrives here soon," he said. He picked up his comlink and dialed Zakath's scramble set. When Zakath picked up, Incendus told him what all had happened.
"Well this isn't good," said Zakath. "Do you have any leads at all?"
"Unfortunately, no. I'm working on it, though," replied Incendus.
"Good. Keep up.... danger....retrieve....your backup.....soon." Zakath's signal started breaking up.
"Zakath, are you there?"
"...zzz.......zzz....zzz." Incendus shut the comlink, and a feeling of great worry overcame him. He turned to the left, and continued walking. He kept going for about two hours.
Suddenly, the wind blew greatly from behind Incendus. When he turned around, there was a cave, long and dark. The wind continued to howl behind him, and Incendus knew something was about to happen that he wouldn't like. Even so, he walked on towards fate. As he traversed the cave, he saw skeletons, humanoid skeletons, with many bones. These skeletons were large and unusual, but the most unusual aspect of these skeletons were that they were red. Suddenly, there was a hissing sound, and Incendus activated his lightsaber. Almost immediately, he was knocked down to the ground. He stood, and turned around. There, in front of him was the same figure that he saw entering the atmosphere of the planet.
"I've been expecting you," said the figure. "You know me, yet you have not met me. I used to rule many planets with my own Galactic Empire, in a quest for galactic conquest. Then I was struck down, by my apprentice and his son. I had hoped that they would have sent a much stronger person for me to take over, but I guess you will have to do.
Incendus was struck with fear. Palpatine? How is this possible? Incendus looked, and courageously said, "You underestimate me. I am still living. You are just a ghost of your formal self, a mere shell." Incendus, pleased with the courage he had displayed, had regained his confidence. "I will not lose. I will recover those artifacts that you have taken."
With this, the ghost of Palpatine let out a large, eerie laugh. "Is that so? I admire your courage, but you are overconfident. Even in death, I am a powerful Sith Lord. Do you not fear me?"
"....No. I don't. I don't fear the dead. Now give me what I came for."
Again, Palpatine let out a string of laughs. He pulled a silver chalice, with jewels lining the top, out of his cloak. "IS this what you're looking for?"
SNAP! The chalice was broken.
Immediately, anger flared up within Incendus. He activated the other saber and lunged at Palpatine. He dodged it. after many quick strikes, Incendus was surprised to see that he was actually doing a small amount of damage. The force-ghost of Palpatine was hit twice in the face and knocked back. But then, Palpatine struck back. He attacked Incendus, knocking him to the ground.
Incendus was going blank. He could hardly see. Palpatine had one. He was coming towards Incendus, sucking out parts of his spirit to make way for Palpatine's spirit. Suddenly, another ghost came out and attacked Palpatine from the side. Then came another. Incendus' vision was blurry, but he could make out two figures that he had read about in the archives of the Brotherhood's temple library-It was Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Incendus struggled to get up, but made it. He saw Palpatine start to dissipate after he had lost.
"I will be back. The Empire will be restored," said Palpatine. "YOU WILL SEE!!!!!"
After this, Incendus started to go unconscious again, exhausted. After struggling for a long time, he eventually let himself go to sleep.
Incendus woke up in a bed on the BAC Shadow, where he was greeted by Zakath. Zakath started bombing him with questions, and eventually asked what happened to the artifact.
".....It was destroyed by Palpatine," replied Incendus.
"...But that's impossible. Palpatine is dead. He's been dead."
"I know. It was his ghost."
After a long period of silence, Incendus apologized.
"There is really no need to be sorry. An acolyte against a Sith Lord-"
"But this was a dead Sith Lord."
"Even so, he was obviously still very powerful. And we got the chalice back. It can be prepared, and it's poweres restored, so this was a mission accomplished. I'll let you rest up here." Zakath then exited the room. Andrel then entered the room, and Incendus could sense the hostility between his master and Zakath for a moment. Both Dark Jedi make a resentful glare at each other while passing. I can't wait to learn why my master and Zakath hate each other, Incendus thought to himself. Whatever it is, I will probably find it amusing.
"Are you okay Incendus?," asked Andrel.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for helping me find that chalice."
"What happened in that cave?" Andrel asked this as though nothing else was important, as though it was a life or death matter. And for some unknown, complicated reason, Incendus thought that it might be a life or death matter. He told Andrel everything, what had happened, what he didn't understand about it, what he enjoyed about it.For a moment, there was silence. The type of silence that annoyed someone who wanted answers, the type of silence that actually pierced your ears more than noise would. Then Andrel spoke once more.
"...Why would two Jedi war heroes come to your aid?" This seemed to be more strange to Andrel than the fact that Incendus had just battled the ghost of a Sith lord. "You are a dark Jedi. I wonder if they know what that chalice is capable of. Wait, do you even know what it's capable of?"
Incendus shook his head.
"If somebody were to drink from this chalice, their power in the force would multiply. The only problem is that the amount that their power would multiply varies. It's unstable, unsafe. That's why it was locked away. Anyway, you need to rest. Bye."
"Bye."
Incendus sat there, thinking of what he had seen. Why were Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker there?. Incendus pondered upon this series of events until he reached Selen.
Operation Rolling Thunder
Incendus was in the middle of a practice battle with a local fighter of Port Ol'val when he hear a ringing sound from his datapad. He motioned for the opponent to stop, and checked his message. He looked up at his opponent, and let her know that he had to go. He quickly ran to the safehouse and grabbed his gear, and rushed towards the shuttle that would take him to his destination.
Clan Arcona was going to war. The Chiss had a blockade keeping the clan from a major route through the Dajorra System. Incendus and the other members of Shadow Gate were to rig the power cells of a space station to overload from a remote detonator. Scelestus gave the team positions: Zakath and Legorii were at the front, leading everyone through the attack; Incendus and Andraste were to watch the flanks so that the team wasn't surrounded; and Cethgus and Walker brought up the rear. Scelestus was to assist the front and to rig the subsystems to explode. Everybody had to pick a color. Incendus was 'Agent Red'.
Everybody boarded the gunship that would be carrying the team to the space station. Incendus carried a blaster and an electrostaff, his favorite pair of weapons. Incendus hoped that his expertise of pole-type weapons would come in handy when the battle began. He felt everyone's emotions harden as they left for war.
As the ship landed in the Chiss hangar bay, Zakath and Legorii wasted no time to establish a beachhead in the hanger as the others came out. After Socorra scolded the team for making such a noisy disturbance when the mission was supposed to be quiet, Scelestus had the men make a more stealthy approach along a predetermined route.
The team had little resistance from the enemy, and what little that they had was quickly dispatched by Legorii and Zakath, although Incendus did take out a few. There were, nevertheless, some close calls. Andraste was wounded and Incendus had to hold off the Chiss that had ambushed them until Scelestus could get to them with his lightsaber. Incendus treated Andraste by injecting her with a medpac and then they were off again. Along the way, Cethgus barely escaped getting hit by an unnoticed security turret. Incendus watched how Zakath and Legorii took out the unavoidable threats, Zakath with brute force, and Legorii with speed and grace. I want to be like that some day, Incendus thought to himself.
Eventually, the team came up to an internal security checkpoint. This is where they got stopped. Scelestus turned around and looked at his team, and asked, “If anyone has any ideas for getting past this roadblock quietly, now’s the time to speak up.” Cethgus had the idea to cut through the bulkhead, but from the expression on his face, Incendus knew that Cethgus didn't have much determination that this would work. Scelestus denied it, stating the fact that once they saw the lightsabers cutting through, the entire system would get shut down. Incendus glanced towards another young member of Shadow Gate, who seemed to be as perplexed as he was. They both waited patiently as the more experienced members tried to think out ideas of how to get through. Legorii proposed that one of the members acted as a hostage for a Chiss officer so that the officer would bring the hostage into the checkpoint. Scelestus quickly objected, but Incendus was thinking of it in his head. It's my turn to prove myself. Incendus looked at Scelestus, and firmly said, "Scelestus, I'll do it."
As Walker and Cethgus returned with a swayed officer, Incendus and Zakath returned with another Chiss. While Andraste rested, Legorii and Scelestus revised the plan. The officers would bring Incendus into the checkpoint, unarmed and completely helpless, and as soon as the door opened, Legorii would lead the team to charge through and take out the Chiss guards.
And the trap was sprung. As the guards dragged Incendus in, everybody else dropped through, and to their surprise, there was a single Chiss, his finger hovering over the button that would sound the alarm and ruin the entire mission. Incendus looked back at the rest of the team, and whatched their eyes widen. Legorii imediately aimed his blaster at the Chiss' head, and threatened him that if he pressed the button, he would lose his head. Incendus heard a gasp from Socorra through his HUD comlink, he heard the Chiss yell something in Cheunh, and then he heard the shooting of a blaster. The dead Chiss fell to the floor, and the entire team exiled in relief. Legorii then took out the Chiss officers that restrained Incendus. Incendus dropped to the floor with the Chiss, free of their grip. He stood, and noticed the grin on the faces of his teammates. "Thanks Legorii," he said. Legorii nodded at him in acknowledgement, and then everyone's head turned to Scelestus for further instruction.

Trivia
- Unlike most members of the brotherhood, Incendus usually writes in a third person style, making him even more unique and uncomfortable among the other members.
- Unlike most members of Qel-Droma, Incendus is a Sith(most members of Qel-Droma are Krath).
- He served in the Empire, but resented the empire after serving it, unlike his master.
- Due to his focus on his own clan, Incendus has had little to no contact with the other clans.
- Because of real life incidents, Incendus was unable to participate in the Operation Rolling Thunder Run-On, so he took the stories from what the other members of Shadow Gate posted and put them together to create his story for the event.
