The main weapon and tool of the revered Gand Jedi Ji. Ji's Lightsaber has been used throuought the decades to fight back the force that is the darkside in defense of those who would seek truth, peace and equanimity. Created by the deceased Jedi Master himself, the saber now resides in the Halls of the Watchmen.
Physical Description
At some point in his Jedi career, Jedi master Ji created the elegant hilt. The hilt itself is constructed in four sections: The pommel, the sub-grip, the upper-grip, and the emmiter. The pommel like the rest of the metal on the hilt is constructed from polished and blackened ditanium. The imposing pommel adds a decent amount of counterweight to offset the mass of components residing in the main chamber.A clawed external battery stabilizer ring separates the pommel from the sub-grip which comprises a section of dark ditanium with intricate black carvings;a plain metal section of 14 cylindrical fins has been added for additional grip.
The upper-grip section is comprised of a cylindrical tube tapered at both ends. The lower half ascends from a bevel at the top of the sub-grip coming to full cylindrical form for the length of the section. The tube is constructed from the same dark polished ditanium with intricate black carvings indicative of the Gands homeworld. The only other feature here besides the intriguing detail is the red circular activation button.
Another external clawed magnetic stabilizer ring separates the upper-grip which tapers to form an extended emmiter section. The emmiter itself is constructed from polished ditanium and several magnetic rings which aid in the properties of the blade. Designed from a combination of deflection and fencing emmiters, Ji's Lightsaber was capable of both Soresu and Makashi saber forms.
Internal Components
Fashioned from parts easily obtainable during the pre-Imperial era, Ji's lightsaber boasts a variety of technological components unseen in decades. The discharge energy power cell is encased in a dense conductor which runs from the pommel into the sub grip. A crystal mount penetrates into the crystal chamber of the finned section; a Solari, Upari and Blue colored crystals populated the chamber.
A gambit of stabilizers, modulaters, and energizers feed the energy from the power cell into the crystal chamber, the resulting energy ran through the gauntlet of electrical components until feeding out into the flux aperture. The energy collected here is reorganized and collated to form the radian blue blade.
History
- Pre-Pillars history [Fill Ji]
Used throughout his career, the saber itself was no doubt present during the Jedi masters final days. During the bombing at Ooroo Abbey the saber alongside its owner took the brunt of the explosion as Ji himself stepped into action to defend the assembly.
Following the explosion the saber was separated from its masters as he underwent intensive medical treatment. Found under apile of rubble and a dislodged pew in the Abbey, the saber was taken to the surviving Jedi Council at the Halls of the Watchmen.
Following unsuccessful medical treatment by Jedi, Harakoan mystics and traditional medical technologies, the Gand Master refused further care and chose to accept his fate. Before the saber could be reunited with the downed master he died before an audience of his fellow Jedi.
Hours later the lightsaber was presented to Masters Drodik, Morotheri, and Kaira Rohana. The surviving council members then placed the relic in the main entrance hall atop a stone pillar.
Ji's Lightsaber remains there till this day.
