The Blades of Kun are one of two Battle Teams in the House of Exar Kun.
History
This page Has gone under new management and Tiberius Di Cloud will be picking up where that last BattleTeam Leader has left off. Updating Sections as well as Adding new, under the approval of the house Summit.
Galactic Empire
The Blades of Kun were a group of twenty highly trained assassins loyal to Emperor Palpatine. They were some of the best at their jobs, and were even taught some minor dark side lore by Darth Sidious.
Normally stationed on the Death Star I, they had been away on a mission to Corellia when the super weapon was destroyed. Afterwards, they spent almost all of their time running missions for the Emperor, and after his death the group went into exile on the planet Byss, knowing they would be killed otherwise.
Exile
Gilad Pellaeon, leader of the Imperial Remnant, exiled the assassins from Remnant space, and even attempted to have them killed, but failed as they once again escaped. Banished from a large portion of the galaxy, they were constantly running from Rebels and what remained of the Empire, skipping from planet to planet. Within five years, the group of twenty was cut down to seven.
One day, they were approached in a cantina by a cloaked figure that only represented himself by the title "Master". He offered them a job to take out a droid bounty hunter that had been killing businessmen. He promised them honor and a life in the New Republic. They took the job, but did not realize just what they were getting into.
Antei
The cloaked figure pointed them towards the Antei System, to the main planet of Antei where the droid was supposedly hiding. Once there, however, a group of Dark Jedi quickly captured them. They should discovered what had happened, seeing that they had been captured by the same man who recruited them, and were shipped off to the Shadow Academy on Lyspair.
Here they trained to be Dark Jedi, and were eventually transferred to Clan Exar Kun, where they formed a battle team of highly trained warriors. Over time, these seven passed on, but they left a legacy that would forever be remembered in the form of a battle team. Even after the merger and creation of Clan Plagueis, Blades of Kun was kept as a battle team of House Exar Kun, and showed its glory time after time.
Dissolved
During the Seventh Great Jedi War, however, the Blades of Kun were some of the front line space pilots for the forces behind the Red Jac. During the conflict, the team suffered great losses, and by the time they returned to House Exar Kun the assault of Diadem Fortress by the Aerunians all but destroyed what was left of the team.
Seeing desperation, the house summit decided it best to close the team until they could return to their former glory. Those that remained were shifted to the houses' other team, Exar's Shadow, and eventually the team was all but forgotten, but nonetheless still awaits its return.
Note: While the battle team was briefly reopened shortly before the Seventh Great Jedi War, it was once again closed due to inactivity.
A Prophetic Dream
Shortly before the Eighth Great Jedi War, Krath Priestess Cipher Isradia received a vision of the future from Kun himself. He warned her of his house's vulnerabilities and need for a strong leader. Soon enough the Vong came and exploited such weaknesses. Many Dark Jedi died and the morale of Kun's House was destroyed.
The Vultures of War
As the House of Kun licked its many wounds, the vultures of war descended. The Crimson Tide, the Clan's archfoe, saw an opportunity to strike and seized the moment. They collected an elite task force to destroy what was left of the once healthy House. However, before the attack could get underway, several members of Exar Kun received a vision from Cipher warning of the future attack. Answering the warning, men like Kor VanTil, Caedes, and Raza rallied the troops together and led their House to a much needed military victory.
From Death To A New Darkness
After Several attempts to keep the Battle Team to its former glory by Kor VanTil, Kaira Rohana and finally Inarya, the team was closed. It had started out strong right after the invasion of the Tide, giving moral boosts to the soldiers of Plagueis. But as the days went on, the fire that drove each member of the team faded, causing the summit to close down its reign in hope to recover.
Blades of Kun had been replaced by a new team of elites, they were more strong, more fierce. Exar’s Shadow had taken to the centre stage.
In the year 33ABY, Exar Kun had adopted a new Quaestor and Aedile. Cassandra El’sin and Koga Kage were fighting to bring their House back to the name of power, back to its former glory. With the new leadership, members were flowing into the House, but also new threats waited upon the horizon. The Elite Battle Team had suffered greatly over the years, dwindling in power, their power was vanishing.
The new House summit agreed upon a new approach, they looked into the books of history, studying how powerful Blades of Kun once was. With selected members ready, there was a huge change in Exar Kun. The glorious Blades of Kun was reopened, pushing Exar’s shadow back to the darkness where it was created. They had selected members that showed more power than any one else, and then came their young promising leader, a Jedi Hunter by the name of Tiberius Di Cloud.
Out with the Old and In with the New
The opening ceremonies were held in the Tombs of Shintura, all the members of Exar Kun had come to witness the Battle Team’s rebirth. The House summit announced the new dawn, and then gave their respects to the dying Exar’s Shadow. Jendan Morgana, its Battle Team Leader was given the Crest of the Shadows, to thank her for the service she and her members provided.
Cassandra spoke out to everyone, telling them of the fear Blades of Kun once shot into the heart’s of their enemies. She asked Tiberius Di Cloud to join them, from there she gave him the honour of Leadership and awarded him with the Dagger of Shintura. He stood there proudly, admiring the blade as Koga stepped forwards and announced the selected elites.
They were the members of hope, who would fight in the name of Exar Kun and bring the House out of its cold darkness. They were Habib Ali, Kyra Starfire, Furios, Phaeton and Ralph Vundu. Each was presented with the same dagger, the weapon which would be used to strike a new fear. They took the honour of the House upon their shoulders, a new team was together at last, ready to make a new page in history.
A New Home
In the pages of history Blades of Kun had its domain on Kapsina, being one of the many great chambers of the Dark Tower. But Cassandra and Koga felt it necessary to bring them to the planet of Shintera, it was the home of Exar Kun so it was their duty to be here.
Once the Opening Ceremonies of the Blades of Kun had ended, the Quaestor led Tiberius, Habib, Kyra, Phaeton, Ralph and Furios deeper into the Tomb of Shintura. Cassandra smiled, finding the newly found corridor comforting. It was lit with fire lanterns, and then they came to a large stone door. She stepped aside and then with a quick respectful salute, their House leader wandered back to the main chamber.
Tiberius pushed at the door, struggling to move its great stone structure. But then it broke free and swung wide open . It seemed dim at first, but then light flooded into the great hall, each member stood amazed at its glorious and historic appearance. War Banners hung from the ceiling, bearing the Battle team’s crest and motto. Then to one side stood ancient armour once worn by its brave fighters, battered looking swords and then the old banner. Moth holes darted all over it and it look so old it could fall apart with one touch, but from all the dust, you could still see its gold and silver stitching.
These were the relics of the Battle team, brought here from the Dark Tower, to show each member their new responsibility. They stood together as one, each admiring their new home. And then at that moment Tiberius turned to his team, proud to be its Leader and honoured to be standing in this grand chamber.
