Darkest Night

The Darkest Night is a Bothan Assault Cruiser. The ship was commissioned by Clan Arcona in 27 ABY after the Eighth Great Jedi War. It is named after one of the more powerful Shadowcrafting techniques available to the upper tiers of Clan Arcona's Shadow Guard.

Role

The Darkest Night acts as a carrier for the Expeditionary Force (its fighter complement to be detailed below). Also, when House Galeres is sent independently on an assignment, it often utilises the BAC Darkest Night

Action

The Darkest Night first saw action in the inter-House Feud, a set of small issues that escalated into conflict between the two Houses of Clan Arcona. The Darkest Night was the crucial centerpiece of the House Galeres in its campaign against House Qel-Droma, but the feud was cut short by the fast action of the Consul and the power of the ISDII Eye of the Abyss II.

The next time the Bothan Assault Cruiser saw serious action was in 29 ABY during a feud with Clan Scholae Palatinae and Clan Plagueis, as the ship was sent with the Arcona Expeditionary Force into the Cocytus System to fight the enemy Clans' fleets, as well as the Yuuzhan Vong. The BAC sustained some minor damage during the battle, but nothing too serious.

Also, to note, there are a few refugees living on board, although the bulk of them are housed on the Abyss. These refugees were generated after the Dajorra System was lost to the Yuuzhan Vong during the Eighth Great Jedi War, and the Clan has yet to reclaim its home system.
