A Jedi Consular serving Clan Odan-Urr, Moonos got his start as an Acolyte of Urr and adheres to the tenets of the Living Force. Powerful and wise, he had a hand in the creation of House Odan-Urr and the rebuilding of the Jedi Order as well as the original temple of New Tython. Over time he began to develop and utilize his particular set of skills and traits in ways that have made him a valuable teacher, diplomat, and advisor.
The Living Force
Windshear Vale
Even as worlds burned in the wake of the now fractured Empire, seeds of new life took root amongst the embers. Amidst the chaos of the Imperial remnants littering the galaxy, new hope had been kindled. Brighter futures were ahead and the promise of a new and prosperous republic was filling the void left behind.
The Windshear Plains of Mygeeto would experience similar growth in 4 ABY as the Lurmen of the region were rebuilding and repopulating en masse. A conservationist named Divo had paired with a diplomat named Shana and together would bring two sons and a daughter into the world. Strong pups, one in particular began showing signs of a unique gift that the community couldn't fully comprehend. That pup's name was Moonos.
The Stars Align
As Mygeeto began to recover from the crippling weight of Imperial occupation. Several military complexes remained operational to hinder the efforts of the Amani and Lurmen. A conservationist himself, a chance encounter with an Ithorian named Quejo who was an Acolyte of Urr had crash landed on the planet after suffering an attack from a small, but very much rogue squadron of Imperials. Being injured in the crash, the Jedi would regroup while under the care of Shana who had taken him in and administered home-made remedies that would aid in the healing process.
During this time, Moonos became attached to the Ithorian, typically crawling to him or trying to get his attention with his favorite toys. Perceptive, the Ithorian was impressed with the youngsters ability to learn quickly, often a trait of Force Sensitives, but was even more invested when the Lurmen pup, out of frustration, called a toy to his hand without touching it. Quejo remained silent for a few years and watched over the little one while helping Divo and Shana with rebuilding, often driving back threats to the village and defending the locals with his training.
In fact he had become a living legend. A guardian, a protector, a friend. Even Quejo's path led him away, he would always be welcomed on Mygeeto. But he would not leave empty handed. Upon discovering the inherent potential within Moonos, he devised a plan to begin testing and teaching the youngling without others taking notice. In the fields of the Vale he would play catch with the youngster using only the Force. He would move rocks and perform feats that Moonos began to mimic. Over time the two became close friends and were inseparable. One day, Quejo with Moonos riding on his shoulders, returned to the village only to find that it had been seemingly abandoned. Fires still burned on their pyres, food was still being cooked, yet everyone was missing. Sensing a great disturbance, Quejo investigated the area and came to the conclusion that the village had been ransacked and the population had been rounded up and taken, or worse. The pacifistic Lurmen wouldn't have put up much resistance. Heavy hearted, Quejo searched the neighboring villages and at the time was unable to locate the inhabitants of Moonos' clan. He would later abandon his quest as training the youngling was of utmost importance as he feared what would happen if he were left on his own. The two fled Mygeeto and began their long journey to New Tython.
Awakened
- "An anomaly, how could such a small creature be so powerfully gifted?!"
- ―A Jedi Master, speaking to Ji and Solari
The Acolytes of Urr, rechristened Clan Odan-Urr had been given dominion over New Tython. Moonos, now a Padawan had been training under Master Quejo, the newly appointed Clan Rollmaster. It was an important duty to teach and gather Force Sensitives throughout the Galaxy. It was truly noble. Growing in the Force, Moonos was powerful but possessed a tremendous restraint. Perhaps a trait of his species, but it was an admirable quality that enabled him to become a valuable ear for those in need.
