Cythrual are distant cousins to the native Arx Wolf. Upon further study, it was found that they were very similar in that they were both larger and more intelligent than the average Wolf, making them natural Apex predators. mostly hunt wild game while roaming in packs and protecting their territories. Their teeth are large and sharp, with jaws strong enough to crack right through thick bone. Their pointed ears and long snouts provide heightened sense of hearing and smell. Their fur is dense with short underfur and long, coarse guard hairs.

Most of the underfur and some of the guard hairs are shed in the spring and grow back in the autumn period. The longest hairs occur on the back, particularly on the front quarters and neck. Especially long hairs are found on the shoulders, and almost form a crest on the upper part of the neck. The hairs on the cheeks are elongated and form tufts. The ears are covered in short hairs which strongly project from the fur. Short, elastic and closely adjacent hairs are present on the limbs from the elbows down. Usual coloring for Cythraul varies from white to gray to black, tri-colored, red, or mixes of beige, brown, and ivory. Their eyes can range from a vast catalog of colors and do not indicate genetic lineage.

Cythraul translates roughly in Hapan to “Demon”.

Cythraul in Possessions

Cythraul are more rare and cost more credits due to their historical pedigree and rarity due to smaller litters and selective breeding. They are functionally the exact same thing as Arx Wolves.

All Cythraul that have been bred and sold on Arx for the Brotherhood are designated as part of the Second Pack. The First Pack is reserved for the original Cythraul before their new mother was moved to The Eld of Elos Vrai on Arx for safety.

History

Cythraul were once native to the Hapes cluster before being brought and bred under the watchful eye of the Arconae of Clan Arcona. They have a strong historical tie to the members of that Clan. For a history of the Cythraul and their ties to Clan Arcona lore, see the Cythraul: Lore article.
