When his sixteenth birthday arrived, Haro was about to give up and return home, when he was approached by a Zabrak Mandalorian named Juda Graves, who introduced him to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Character History

Early Life

Haro Zylrun was born on Mandalore in 20 ABY, in a community working to rebuild the capital city, Sundari.

Before Haro could even walk, he started his training. He learned how to shoot a blaster under the watchful eyes of his father, his father's younger brother Jifo, and Jifo's wife, Ruusaan. He learned to treat weapons as his best friend, and often went to sleep with a blaster in his arms. By the age of three, he could reliably hit a target, and even clean, reload, and take care of his own gun.

He started learning martial arts and knife fighting on his third birthday, with his father and uncle teaching him the basics of Mandalorian Core.

When Haro was just barely four years old, his brother, Jhefi, was born. Haro soon started trying to be a good example for his little brother: using the fresher on his own, playing with Jhefi, and even cleaning (or attempting to clean) his plate. He also tried to teach Jhefi what he had learned, and was sometimes found either showing his brother how well he could shoot, or trying to teach him how.

At six, Haro started training with explosives, and he almost killed his brother. After his first lesson, he wanted to tell Jhefi about the explosion, but, unsure how to describe it, he decided to take matters (and a spare thermal detonator) into his own hands. He brought Jhefi to the edge of the city, and showed his brother the stolen grenade. Jhefi watched, fascinated, as Haro slid back the cover, pressed the button, and promptly forgot what to do next. He panicked for a couple of seconds, but then, by instinct more than anything, he threw the grenade as far away from himself as he could. Luckily, his adrenaline-fueled throw was enough to get them both out of the blast radius.

The explosion echoed through the whole city, and his parents, as well as several other curious people, came running. They scolded him terribly, and some of the other Mandalorians took him to court. He was almost exiled, until his parents argued that he was too young to know better, and anyways, no one was seriously injured. Nevertheless, he was grounded from training for a month. Jhefi, however, was fascinated by the explosion, and later tried to sneak into the armory multiple times to "borrow" some detonators.

The trauma awoke something inside of Haro, and later that year, he began to show signs that he had the gift of the Force, unknowingly levitating small objects around him when he was angry, and seeming to have unnaturally quick reflexes.

When he was seven years old, Haro broke his first bone. Only he knows the exact details, and he hasn't told anyone yet. His parents reported that he came home one day with a bloody nose and his right arm hanging limp at his side. They took him to the medcenter, where they found that his arm was broken, as well as his nose. The medics' best explanation was that he had fallen from somewhere high up, but they couldn't be sure. He has since healed, but his nose is slightly crooked as a result.

At eight, Haro's mother taught him to fly a starship, and within five years, he was performing tricks that impressed even the most experienced pilots. After his first solo flight, he reported that he felt "free and at home" while flying his mother's Kom'rk.

But the happiness couldn't last forever, and when he was fifteen, he couldn't control his Force powers very well any more, so he went off in search of a jedi master to teach him.

Searching for a Master

Haro bid goodbye to his parents, who had bought him a spot on a shuttle to Coruscant and given him a thousand credits to aid in his search, as well as an ancient dagger forged by his ancestor Attoka Zylrun; which the main line of Clan Zylrun had passed down through many generations. They had tried to get a trainer for him for years, hiring supposed "Force Trainers" and "Jedi Masters" that never actually knew how to train someone in the Force, but were instead faking for the credits.

Haro traveled to the planet city and searched for a trainer. His search led him all over the planet, following lead after false lead. When he ran out of credits, he began earning some. His father had taught him to love hard work, and did several odd jobs for any amount of credits. Where there were none, he sought out bounties and turned them in, but never got very large rewards, other than thanks and empty promises.

When his sixteenth birthday arrived, Haro was about to give up and return home, when he was approached by a Zabrak Mandalorian named Juda Graves, who introduced him to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Having not known about any Mandalorians other than the ones in his community, he was surprised to find someone who shared his beliefs, and he graciously accepted.

Loyal Vizslan

When he arrived on Arx in 36 ABY, Haro took the Trial of Identity and was accepted into House Deathwatch of Clan Vizsla. He was excited to be a part of a clan named after his mother's family, and always tried his best to excel. He got a job as a cargo pilot, flying goods across the galaxy, which earned him enough credits to pay for food and other amenities. He also completed some minor bounty-hunting missions, and earned enough extra credits to buy his first blaster, a Blas-Tech X-8 Night Sniper, and he sent his old blaster back to his parents on Mandalore.

In 40 ABY, Haro was promoted to Jedi Knight, and received his own lightsaber, along with a ship. Later that year, he was enlisted in the Fifteenth Great Jedi War. During the war he lost his right forearm, and gained a lightsaber wound over his right eye which just missed blinding him; both from the same strike. Later that year, his parents sent Jhefi to live with him.

In 41 ABY, Haro was enlisted in the Sixteenth Great Jedi War, when he traveled to the Ethereal Realm and killed an enhanced rancor with the help of three other Vizslans. Since then, he has been promoted to Equite 2, traded out his blaster for a classic Westar-35 and then to an upgraded one, fought a jedi named Centam Javik and won, and participated in a hunting expedition with some other members of his clan.

During 42 ABY, Haro won the yearly Great Hunt, receiving the Jai'jalaar Electro-Trident as his award. He also found and bonded to a Varpeline crystal, which he now wields in his lightsaber. He has since purchased a set of Pure Beskar Mandalorian armor.

He currently makes a living by doing odd jobs and bounties, as well as on his salary for his job as a cargo pilot.
