Elder 1 (Adept/Eminent/General), commonly known as EL1, is the thirteenth rank in the The Brotherhood, which is awarded after demonstrating above and beyond performance as a fourth-level Equite. It is at this rank that members may request a custom Double bladed lightsaber, and a Legacy Title. It is the first rank in the Elder class, the first step down the path to Grand Master.
The Deputy Grand Master and Core Councillors have the authority to promote up to this rank.
Promotion requirements
Upon promotion from this tier of Elder by the Grand Master or his Deputy, you will reach the second of the Elder class ranks: Master or Moff. This difference depends upon your chosen Order.
Order ranks
- Sith/Force Disciple/Jedi: Adept
- Loyalist Order: General
- Mercenary Order: Eminent

Elder II |
History
- In the past, members were promoted to Dark Side Adept upon appointment to a Dark Council position (except Order Leaders who attained the highest rank of their Order - e.g. Sith Warlord). This practice has been abolished.
- When originally introduced, Custom Lightsabers were only available at this rank or higher.
- In 34 ABY under the reign of Darth Pravus second term as Grand Master it was decreed that members of Elder 1 status would be allowed to request a Legacy Title, instead of at Elder 2.
