Sonyo Rue is a Jedi Knight hailing from Clan Odan-Urr. Originally born on New Tython to an Arkanian Jedi male and a Pantoran Sith female from the brotherhood, Sonyo had a rough upbringing. She spent her early years in the Jedi Academy under Odan-Urr and later became part of that faction of the Brotherhood when they were ratified. Sonyo is a Jedi Sorcerer, using her abilities to protect those who need protected. She also specializes in Force Healing and natural remedies.

Physical Description

Sonyo is a female Pantoran-Arkanian hybrid of thin and lithe build, with the musculature one would expect of a dancer, and the grace that goes along with it. She sports the pale near-white skin and dark-brown to near black hair of her father, but the yellow-brown eyes of her mother. These eyes hold a dark umbral ring in them around the edges more akin to a burnished gold. While she has hands with all five digits, her fingers sport longer than normal nails that are properly trimmed and groomed. Sonyo wears her hair, which reaches to the back of her thighs, loose besides the braids on each side of her head that tame her dark tresses and hold them back from her face.

A single golden dot exists below each eye, and a thick golden line mars across the middle of her lips breaking their normal pink consistency. Across Sonyo's back are the marks of an unwanted child-- a crisscrossing maze of scars born from multiple lashings throughout her childhood and adult life. Other than those scars, carefully hidden, she sports no other identifying features.

She speaks in a measured but soft tone, with a slight lilt and clear pronunciation. An accent that one would easily identify as being Pantoran, but with a slight unknown factor that would make it sound slightly different from other Pantoran accents.

Attire

Sonyo often dresses conservatively, not because she is ashamed of her body, but because it is just what Jedi do. You'll find her sporting Jedi robes with armor whenever possible, or wearing Kiastian robes that are simple and understated. The hybrid woman almost always wears her hair loose, only tying it up when it gets in the way of her clinic work.

Personality

The nicest way someone can describe Sonyo is "quiet". The Jedi often keeps to herself, only speaking when spoken to. She finds herself mostly at the edges of crowds, observing, and does not let herself interact with a majority of the Jedi forces or Odanites. This has lead to a reputation of her being strange or not liking other people. Sonyo, despite the reputation, is a generally kind woman, if not a little intense when it comes to things she is passionate about.

Sonyo will go out of her way to protect the weak and downtrodden, almost to a fault. If there is someone who needs her help, she will give it, no matter what her personal feelings on the person are-- that is the Jedi way, after all.

The Pantoran-Arkanian hybrid holds a deep seeded fear that she will one day become like her mother-- a sith who only cares about herself, throwing other people away if it means her freedom or enjoyment. This fear drives almost everything Sonyo does, including her strict adherence to the Jedi Code. This adherence is so severe, that even other Jedi sometimes find her extreme. Sonyo prefers to live minimally and light. She doesn't own a home, or any ships, and only owns the possessions that she carries with her every day.

Weapons

Sonyo uses weapons as she needs to, but her only constant weapon is her lightsaber. The saber is beaten, old, but holds sentimentality to the Jedi woman. It once belonged to her Father- Lycae Rue. Sonyo refuses to find a kyber crystal of her own and create her own lightsaber. She believes by carrying her father's saber, she can live up to his memory and the man he was.
