The Shadowstalkers were formed as Dante's personal unit of bodyguards when he became Consul of Clan Arcona in the Emperor's Hammer. Most of them were former members of the Hammer's Fist Nightstalkers Special Operations Detachment (of whom Decarat was the first commander) who were Force sensitive, and they in turn became trusted members of Clan Arcona in order to serve their old commander. Now they currently reside on Judecca as Angelo Dante is currently affiliated with House Scholae Palatinae.

Unit History
The Beginnings
The Shadowstalkers were a unit steeped in tradition. Originally, they had come into being as the famed “Nightstalkers” of the Hammer’s Fist Legion. They had begun operating as an adhoc collection of special operations troopers for certain missions, but soon they had developed into a full company with their own air support squadron and heavy weapons support detachment. Eventually, the original members had either retired, moved up in rank, or left the service, but Dante had still called them back for the occasional mission or two every year.
With his ascendancy to the Consulship of Arcona, the former Prefect created his own personal guard: the Shadowstalkers. Comprised of many of the original members of the Nightstalkers as well as other special operations troopers who were members of Arcona, they were a formidable force. After his “retirement” from the Consulship by Fleet Commander Astatine, Dante kept the Shadowstalkers active as a unit by using them for various missions against other Clans as well as the New Republic.
Unknown Regions
After Dante's expulsion from the Emperor's Hammer territories, the group moved out from Carrida II and headed into the Unknown Regions. As a mercenary force comprised of highly skilled technicians and troopers, many of whom were at least force sensitive if not trained Dark Jedi, the group did very well for themselves working for a number of planetary governments.
Return to the Core
Dante had received a message from his old buddy, Archangel, about doing some work for the Rogue Dark Brotherhood, or Dark Jedi Brotherhood as it was now called. The old trooper had agreed, and the Shadowstalkers performed a couple of intelligence operations including a snatch and grab from a New Republic intelligence outpost. It was on this mission that the Shadowstalkers had grabbed a secret report on the Vong. Although it wouldn't become decrypted until after the Incursion, it provided outstanding information that Scholae Palatinae used in defeating the Vong during the Reclamation of the Cocytus System.
Life on Judecca
The Shadowstalkers had become tied to Judecca as their new base of operations became the Dante's estate on Judecca: Petitor Umbrarum. The estate has training facilities as well as barracks for the members of the group.
Current Status
The Shadowstalkers are currently stationed at Petitor Umbrarum on Judecca under the command of LTC Leah Celeste-Dante while Angelo Dante is on Caina performing his duties.
