Maol Nor Lexu is a Dark Jedi Knight serving under the banner of Clan Plagueis, and more specifically House Exar Kun. Maol is actually a clone of a Jedi Youngling named Nor Ash, who was enlisted in the Jedi Service Corps at a young, impressionable age. Near the beginning of the Great Jedi Purge, young Ash was kidnapped by an assassin. Many years later, then well-versed in most arts of murder, the assassin accompanied his father on a bounty hunt. Trying to help his 'father', Nor was killed in a struggle.
The assassin was so upset about this, that he flew to Kamino and ordered a clone of Nor Ash. When the product was completed, he named him Maol Nor Lexu. Maol eventually found his way to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, and has held many positions there, including most recently Knight Class Envoy of Plagueis.
Character History
Early life
Maol actually is the clone of a youngling named Nor Ash. Nor Ash was born on Coruscant the Galactic hub of the galaxy for millennia on 18 BBY. Even though there not much known about his family, young Nor Ash was taken by Jedi Service Corps at a very young age. There along with other selected force sensitive child he was assigned to a Clan for training. But being a Jedi initiate was not long for Nor Ash. He was kidnapped by an assassin during his training not long before the start of the Great Jedi Purge.
After several years living with the assassin, Nor Ash later learned so many arts of killing used by the assassin who became his adopted father. At the age of 18, Nor Ash follows his father to kill for bounty. But, unfortunately, Nor Ash was killed during the attempt to help his father. The assassin who is frustrated about the death of Nor Ash make a clone to replaced for him. He named the clone as Maol Nor Lexu, and trained and treat the clone as the real Nor Ash.
The Dark Path
On 20 ABY, the old assassin died and left Maol with his dignity as an assassin. Maol travel through the galaxy to find mean of life. Till he met Selket, Proconsul of Clan Satal Keto of that time. He joined the Bortherhood after that and was moved to House Kirleta. There he learn true power of the Dark Side under Proconsul Selket’s teaching. Right after he promoted to Novice, Maol left the Clan and became a Rogue.
Time as a Rogue
During the rogue, Maol again traveled through the galaxy to find more about the Dark Side that he never learn in Clan Plagueis. He later discover a distinctive edged weapon of the unknown world. The origin of this weapon is still a mystery because Maol got it from the unknown region. The term “kris” is a name that has been given from the local who might be using their own native language to give the blade a name. It is associated with special power due to its blade pattern wielding and shape.
Functionally, the “kris” is not a slashing weapon like a bowie knife or other fighting knife, but rather a stabbing instrument. The “kris” was mostly out-matched against anything other than another “kris”. If a “kris” fighter had a stealth on his side, the “kris” was lethal.
Maol worn the “kris” everyday and at special ceremonies and this weapon is his special trademark on his Warbanner.
A New Start
After back from Rogue, Maol returned to Brotherhood and joined Clan Naga Sadow in House Ludo Kressh. He later joined House Marka Ragnos. Under Marka Ragnos' Quaestor who was also his Master, Kat Pridemore; Maol gained experience till he achieved the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. For the exemplary service and hard work toward House Marka Ragnos and Clan Naga Sadow, Maol was awarded to many medals.
