History Overview
Origins
The past and history of Kyle Takan is little known outside of the few privy to his dossier file, and even then, are limited to a sparse collection of the most minimal of details. In truth, the only person, outside of Takan himself, aware of the Commodore's origins was former Consul, Kir Katarn.
Recruited in 24 ABY during one of the former Consul's many excursions into the Unknown Realms. it is unknown what species the Commodore hails from, though it has been speculated that he must have a Sith ancestry, judging by the two facial folds, and his steely demeanor, but this has never been confirmed nor denied.
Service Career
Upon his arrival in Taldryan, it was generally assumed that because of his innate Force Sensitivity, that Takan would begin training like any other. This illusion was shattered when the mysterious figure disregarded the entire structure of the Brotherhood and its training to join the Taldryan Navy. He was assigned to the Taldryan Military Institute, and for an unknown reason, was placed in an advanced class.
Takan would graduate the Institute a year later, and was almost immediately assigned as the Executive Officer of the Dark Seraphim. Here, the alien served with distinction until the death of Captain Nerrick, who died due to a bad heart and an unhealthy lifestyle. The Command of the Modified Dreadnought passed to Takan.
The Yuuzhan Vong Incursion
During the Rite of Supremacy that marked the final days before the Fall of Antei, Kyle Takan used the Dark Seraphim, under the direction of the Clan Consul and the Taldryan Fleet Command, to great effect. An enemy boarding action left the Dreadnought hurt and in bad shape, yet was able to maintain a high battle presence, in part to its commander's impressive abilities.
With the Fall of Antei, the subsequent retreat of the Clans to their home systems, Takan was awarded with the Rank of Commodore for his valorous action.
Since the Fall of Antei
Kyle Takan has spent the time since the Fall of Antei in preparation of the time when he will be called upon to help retake the life center of the Dark Brotherhood. Given a new command after the Dark Seraphim was returned, Takan has taken it upon himself to run the tightest ship possible. Daily drills and readiness preparation has earned his crew the distinction of the Consul's Fist, a title bestowed upon a unit of command that has gone above and beyond, and is prepared to strike at a moment's notice. This distinction is a high praise indeed, seeing as though even the crew of the flagship, the CSD Justice, haven't even been recognized in this way.

Personality and traits
Kyle Takan is a very reserved individual; He does not speak unless the situation warrants it. It is unknown whether this is a characteristic of his species or merely an individual quirk. it is in fact the mysteriousness with which he conceals his past that makes him particularly effective. The aura that surrounds him awes those enemies aware of who he is, and his perspective of battle, which differs from most other Naval Commanders, gives him a special eye towards tactics or maneuvers that would otherwise be overlooked or not even considered.
