Jo Mizu (formerly known as Sandrin), a force-sensitive female Epicanthix, was an illegitimate daughter of the Epicanthix warlord and human slave. Her abusive family made Mizu, seduced by Cethgus from the Naga Sadow whom later became her first mentor to the dark side of the force, slaughtered seven out of the ten members of the family who had mistreated her mercilessly, while the rest managed to flee, including her elder sibling Jo Kaizu. After Jo Mizu had passed all the trial’s requirements and being Knighted, Jo Mizu betrayed her own master and began wandering around the galaxy by herself seeking to annihilate the rest her family members in order to bury the hatchet. After a prolonged struggle in the paths and several fierce battles with her remaining family, she had decided to not affiliate herself neither to the light nor to the dark side. Currently, she commits herself to serve under the House of Hoth, Odan-Urr and under the tutelage of Master Vy'r Vorsa of the Neti in the process of redemption. She highly respects deceased Kamahu, a male Harakoan warrior, Dr. Mana Vossi, the female Sephi and Savant Edgar Drachen, the male human being that had treated her as a welcoming family apart of saving her life from the doom of the death.

Jo Mizu was an illegitimate daughter of the Epicanthix warlord and a human slave. Taken care by a single father, Jo Mizu was severely abused and beaten by her family, and unusually she would smile instead of cry to make them stop temporarily. One night, she ran into Cethgus Tiberius Entar, when he sliced the government official in half. Instead of killing her, the Zabrak took shelter in a shed and Jo Mizu would bring him food and bandages. He then gave the little Mizu a single-edged rapier to protect herself by killing her family, but she thought being killed by a sword would hurt too much so she hid under the estate’s porch. When her family found out that Mizu was harbouring the Sith, they planned to kill the girl and inform the Council to turn Cethgus in. Jo Mizu ended up slaughtering the seven adults from the total of ten with greater speed and strength, the result of believing what Cethgus told her, ”The weak die out and the strong will survive and passionately fight for life.” Afterwards when she stood in the rain, she seemed to be smiling about it, however in fact she was crying. She decided to serve under Cethgus Tiberius Entar as his apprentice.

Personality and traits
Many people who have known Jo Mizu, regard the young Epicanthix female as being flat and emotionless, quiet and reserved. Jo Mizu is normally seen smiling, with seemingly no emotion. In actuality, she subconsciously suppresses her emotions, making her somewhat difficult to read in combat, as stated by Kamahu. This facade gradually erodes when she realises how strong of an opponent her elder sister Jo Kaizu is. She also adheres to the philosophy of "The weak die out and the strong will survive and passionately fight for life" and believes it to be an absolute truth. Her dedication to this belief, however, leaves her emotionally vulnerable and naive when another's differing ideology conflicts with her own. When her true emotions surface, she appears to be unnerved, infuriated, and almost insane. This is a direct result of spending over a decade suppressing her feelings.
However, after the Battle of the Florrum, she appears to have calmed down somewhat and gone to a cold and completely uncaring demeanour. Unlike any other Epicanthix’s aggressiveness, she tends to be evasive about most fighting; unless she was forced, but deemed one of many skilful lightsaber fighters, relying almost exclusively on her fencing skills instead of using additional Force Powers. She is known for using telekinesis, allowing her to push, pull, and/or throw light to medium object in range. Jo Mizu shows affection, appreciation and deep respect towards anyone who has ‘true warrior heart’. During her time under Drachen’s tutelage and service, Jo Mizu seems to regard him as a combination of master and a foster brother.
