Gülvyr Okami is a Kiffar Mandalorian hailing from the ice moon of Kaerls. He is a mercenary, leader, hunter and warrior whose life revolves around survival, his and his aliit's. Acting as the leader of the Okami Mandalorians, Gülvyr has accrued a fearsome reputation among his aliit and the Vatali Empire for being an efficient and deadly hunter with a heart of gold.

Biography

Early life {17 BBY - 1 ABY}

Born to a family of traders stranded on the junk world of Lotho Minor, much of Gülvyr's childhood was spent on the move, and in constant fear for his life. The junk world, while seemingly mundane to many outsiders, was deadly to any inhabitants foolish or unlucky enough to inhabit it. Monsters and alien creatures of every kind inhabited the junk piles and made territories out of rolling hills of trash.

Gülvyr's parents died when he was only ten years old, leaving their two children, their daughter Äya and Gülvyr himself, stranded and alone on a frightening world.

Physical description

Gülvyr Okami

Gulvyr Okami is a Kiffar Mandalorian with braided hair and a full beard grayed with age. He is tall with a boxer build, fairly muscular and tough, and still looking every bit the fighter he always was. His skin is rough and dry from many years of living in harsh environments, especially on his face and head, which is shaved at the sides.

He has intense blue eyes underneath milky white brows, as well as pronounced cheekbones and a malformed nose, a result of too many breaks to count. The old Mandalorian's whole body is a relief of scar tissue and blaster burns. Eschewing traditional Kiffar facial markings, Gulvyr has instead covered his body in strange tattoos written in Mando’a and Aurebesh that represent anything from personal mementos to the names of enemies killed in battle. Nowhere are these tattoos more prominent than on his face and the sides of his head.

Relationships

Luna Okami

Luna Okami is Gülvyr's romantic interest, and his "part-time lover and a full-time friend". Their relationship is complex and deep, as they shared many years together in the same combat unit. Luna's deceased husband was Gülvyr's best friend and most valued brother by bond. Reluctant to progress their relationship further, both are left in a limbo of uncertainty.

In the years since his death, Gülvyr had vowed not to let anything similar happen to Luna as she was the only one he had such a strong connection with. Since Luna's departure as Matriarch of the Okami Clan and her disappearance from public life, Gülvyr has taken the mantle of Patriarch, protecting and leading the Clan until, as he says, Luna asks for it back.

Hedda Okami

Hedda Okami is Gülvyr's binôme, his hunt partner and closest ally. The two have a familial relationship, akin to a brother and sister, as they are rarely seen separated outside their homes. Hedda is Gülvyr's lieutenant in the Okami Clan, leading in his stead when he is away or otherwise preoccupied.

Despite being nearly the same age as him, Gülvyr treats Hedda as a younger sister, often scolding her when he thinks her actions warrant it, all for her own good. Still, Hedda doesn't take his overbearing protectiveness of her and her daughter, Aine. In combat they work as a coherent and efficient team, with Hedda taking up the rear with her blaster rifle while Gülvyr dons the role of the shock trooper, charging into melee.

Powers and abilities

Mandalorian armor

Built by Okami armorsmiths, Gülvyr's armor is coated in the distinct alii'gai, clan colors, of the Okami clan. Dulled gray-blue armor mixed with orange-yellow accents make the armor stand out while the modified T-visor helmet makes the wearer instantly recognizable in any situation by those that know him. Mandalorian Armor is also adorned with pelts, furs and ritualistic baubles. A full stroilk pelt, a canine species from Kiast's only moon, covers the shoulders.
