Forged Alliances was a major conflict and political event within the Dark Jedi Brotherhood storyline involving Clan Plagueis and Clan Tarentum. The event centered on the discovery of a powerful and ancient Force entity lurking within the depths of the Plagueian space station known as The Anchorage, and the alliance formed between the two Clans to confront it.

The conflict culminated in the defeat and imprisonment of the entity within a Bloodstone, an act that solidified a political alliance between the two Clans and set the stage for subsequent cooperative efforts in the region.

Background

Following a series of unexplained disturbances and supernatural manifestations aboard the Plagueian station known as The Anchorage, leadership within Clan Plagueis began investigating the possibility that a powerful dark side presence had taken root in the lower levels of the station. The phenomena included sightings of the former Plagueian operative Xander Drax, who appeared to manifest and disappear throughout the station under circumstances that suggested a deeper and more ancient influence.

Seeking expertise beyond their own resources, Teylas Ramar and Selika Roh approached the leadership of Clan Tarentum, a Clan known for its mastery of death-related Force practices and necromantic traditions. The meeting took place in secrecy aboard the Tarenti flagship Corsair within the Itaana asteroid belt.

Initial negotiations were tense, with Tarenti leaders questioning Plagueis’ intentions and sincerity. However, after the Plagueian delegation shared memories and evidence of the disturbances through the Force, Tarentum agreed to assist in confronting the threat. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}

Leadership Crisis in Clan Plagueis

During the negotiations with Tarentum, events within Clan Plagueis reached a turning point. The acting Dread Lord, Vivackus Kavon di Plagia, had begun suffering severe instability following his acquisition of a Miraluka body and the lingering influence of the dark forces within the Anchorage.

Confronted on Kamino by Tra'an Reith, Vivackus ultimately relinquished his leadership after acknowledging that he was no longer capable of effectively guiding the Clan.

With no serious challengers emerging, leadership of Clan Plagueis passed to Teylas Ramar, who assumed the position of Dread Lord while continuing negotiations with Tarentum.

Investigation of the Anchorage

After Tarentum agreed to assist, a joint expedition of Plagueian and Tarenti members began exploring the dangerous lower levels of the Anchorage. These areas had long been abandoned due to structural damage and powerful dark side energies that permeated the station.

During their investigation, Teylas Ramar, Tra’an Reith, and Scion Tarentae encountered a being capable of assuming the form of multiple individuals, including the deceased Xander Drax and fallen Plagueian soldiers. The entity demonstrated immense dark side power and suggested it had been feeding on the presence of those around it.

The encounter confirmed that the disturbances aboard the station were not the actions of Drax himself, but rather the manifestation of an ancient Sith aberration that had absorbed or appropriated his essence.

The Bloodstone Ritual

In order to defeat the entity, the Tarenti leadership located a rare Sith artifact capable of imprisoning dark side entities: a hidden Bloodstone. The artifact appeared to be a plain black stone until activated through a ritual that would draw the life force of the entity into the gem.

The ritual was ultimately performed by Teylas Ramar and Farrin Xies, combining the power and knowledge of both Clans. Once activated, the artifact siphoned the entity’s essence into the gem and sealed it within the Bloodstone, neutralizing the threat.

Aftermath

Although the immediate threat aboard the Anchorage had been resolved, the fate of the Bloodstone itself became a matter of concern. Following the ritual and the sealing of the entity, the artifact vanished under mysterious circumstances, leaving both Clans uncertain as to its location.

Despite the lingering mystery, the operation marked the beginning of a formal alliance between Clan Plagueis and Clan Tarentum. The cooperation forged during the crisis laid the groundwork for deeper collaboration between the two Clans in later conflicts.
