- " Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. "
- ― Ralph Waldo Emerson
Colonel Caleb Wild'en, a Palatinaean trained soldier, has but returned to active service of the Clan but recently upon completion of serving in secret the interests of Elincia Rei. That is to say, he was charged with the protection of one Mune Cinteroph during the Shistavanen's recovery and return to the clan. It is by no means any surprise where lay his loyalties, he took to martial training young and proved a skilled young man. He remains a regular companion to Mune, as well as an occasional lover... until they became engaged and before long, married.
Character History
Childhood
Caleb was born in 12ABY to Solana (mother) and Braern (father) Wild'en, on the Togorian homeworld of Togoria, in the Mid Rim. He is the fourth born of five siblings. Marisol(f) the eldest sister, Koji(m) the second-born, Gallus(m) the third-born, and the youngest, Maia(f). Their family was not so bad off, considered upper-middle-class in their community. His father was an honourable man, instilling in his children a sense of duty from a very young age. At the age of eight, Caleb started learning how to track from his father, learning to hunt and shadow his quarry through the wilderness. He took to survival training better than his two older brothers, and by the age of ten, was learning martial skills with them. At the age of eleven, he received his first slugthrower and showed an aptitude for marksmanship.
Adolescence
Military Academy
At the age of fourteen, Caleb was enrolled into a prestigious military academy, an academy his brothers also attended. His personality continued to develop into his teens, becoming a rather serious young man with a strong sense of honour and drive toward independence. He took his training very seriously, working on his marksmanship, blade work and martial arts daily. He became his own worst critic, pushing hard throughout his adolescence to be the best, to show his father the meddle he was made of. He expected honesty with himself, which turned into being just as honest with others, sometimes brutally so. He dropped the need for pretty platitudes or flowery words, finding them unnecessary at the best of times. Classmates found him cold, abrupt, or just a flat-out prick. Some people do not like hearing the truth of things. His icy gaze did not help the rumours of coldness either.
Caleb was fifteen years old when notice was taken of his combat skills and intelligence. The Togorian was put into what was explained to him as an advanced program. Not knowing what to expect, he was surprised to find he had become part of a select team of cadets under the tutelage of a woman proclaiming herself an adherent to Mandalorian teachings and creed. The group often underwent strenuous training exercises and was even called upon to engage in actual military missions. The experience rapidly hardened Caleb and did nothing to diminish the cold attitude he had adopted towards his peers.
Imperial Scholae Navy
At the age of eighteen, he was approached by a representative from off-world. He introduced himself as an ambassador for the Imperial Scholae Navy and looked for talented young men. Going off-world seemed like the most incredible of adventures to a younger Caleb. He was the youngest son, so prospects were slim for him back home. So, completing his training at the academy, he left with a handful of other young men and crossed the Mid-Rim to Scholae Palatinae's homeworld of Judecca. He was enrolled in their training program, and immediately his aptitude was on display for all to see. His skills with a sniper rifle and pistols impressed his instructors and were matched by his skills at hand-to-hand combat. He officially entered their military ranks at the age of nineteen ready for active duty as an operative of the Imperial Scholae Intelligence division as a covert ops specialist.
Adulthood
A Special Task & Unexpected Feelings
In just over a year, Caleb was assigned as a bodyguard. At first, he was not given many details other than the person he was to safeguard was important. The adolescent's name was Mune, and they were dying. Something about the Shistavanen called him to engage, talk, and get to know the young Shista. They spent days talking, and for the first time in a long time, Caleb let someone through his cold exterior. Here was someone, sick, dying, who just needed to connect with someone, who just needed a hand to hold so they'd not be consumed by a broken heart before their body could give out completely. They became friends over weeks, learning about one another. Truth was, right from day one, Caleb had feelings for the Shista... the first time he realized feelings for someone that was male (he'd learn soon after that Mune was genderfluid and though presented as male, did not always identify as such.)

Profile

- ― Henry David Thoreau
Physical Appearance
Caleb Wild’en is a Togorian and a proud one at that. His rounded ears are adorned by three helix piercings each. His eyes are an absolutely vivid blue with the left iris containing a rather startling imperfection. This imperfection comes from a splinter of strikingly brilliant amethyst that crosses from the edge of his iris to the edge of his pupil. His facial features are strong, with full cheek ruffs, a broad muzzle and a wide feline nose. His thin black lips always seem to be threatening a cocky grin at any given time, flashing the rather savage-looking feline fangs behind them.
He has the common back-jointed legs of his species. He is very well toned, his build telling of someone who has spent more than a little time working to build the muscles of his legs and arms with a focus on tone as opposed to bulk. He is covered in short, purely white fur, broken only by attractive stripes in a rich jet black. Only the fur of his chest and stomach are absent of the stripes. His tail is long and slinky, never seems to remain still, always twitching or flicking about in some kind of motion. His claws are viciously curved, intended to rip and tear into prey.
Their Speech
Caleb Wild’en speaks with a rich baritone voice, coloured by the slightest telltale hiss common to his people. The hiss is less audible when he speaks Shistavanen than when speaking Basic. He also speaks Huttese and Mando'a.
Personality Profile
Caleb generally comes across as cold. He does not lack confidence and is constantly challenging himself to improve his skills, whether at hand-to-hand or marksmanship. He believes in working hard, pushing his body, in challenging himself. He was never one for pretty platitudes, though, as he develops friendships through Mune, he has begun to soften his tone and be less abrupt with people.
