Aldaric is a Chiss Jedi Hunter of Clan Taldryan. As a Chiss force user, his abilities are extremely rare and he had to hide them for most of his life. He fled from his position in the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force to further his studies into the force and the history of its users.
Aldaric was born on the Chiss homeworld of Csilla in 4 ABY. His parents recognized him as a Force Sensitive when he was four years old. Out of fear to losing their son to the Aristocra, and because of the rarity of Force Sensitivity in Chiss males, they decided to hide Aldaric's abilities and focus on his education. He was initially homeschooled by his mother until he was old enough to understand his precognition and the potential consequences of being caught using it. He would always use it to cheat when he was playing games with others but was always careful to not go too far.
Chiss Expansionary Defense Force
Aldaric excelled in his studies of history and philosophy and enlisted in the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force. His goal however, wasn't to serve in the military but to gain access to the library that they kept. Aldaric excelled in his studies of tactics and strategy and left his superiors shocked when they read his assignment at graduation. Through some subtle manipulation, Aldaric was selected to be a curator at the Expeditionary Library instead of a position aboard one of the many ships of the fleet.
Here, Aldaric poured over the contents of the thousands of old tomes and learned the secrets and rumours of the rest of the galaxy. It was here he first learned of the Jedi and the Sith. He spent countless hours reading about the many wars between the Jedi and Sith and was fascinated by the stories of the incredible power wielded by the Dark Jedi. Of particular interest was a book that contained the history of the Dark Brotherhood. He read about the great Shadow Academy and wondered what secrets of the force lie within. He then began to formulate a plan to leave the Expeditionary Library and join the Brotherhood.
Escape from Csilla
In 36 ABY Aldaric had learned everything he could from the Expeditionary Library and had laid his plan to steal the next transport that was set to arrive. He packed a small bag and took only a vibroblade and the book containing the history of the Dark Brotherhood and waited for the transport to arrive with its cargo. When it finally did, and while the crew was busy pushing their cargo into the complex he made his move. Unfortunately for him, in his eagerness to leave he forgot about the tracking tag embedded in the book cover to guard against any theft. An alarm sounded as he ran to the transport and he was confronted by the ship's crew. A short battle ensued, but with Aldaric's gift of precognition, he easily subdued the first two men. As he turned to face the third he was barely able to escape his enemy's vibroblade, which cut his left cheek. A quick counterattack left his last obstacle defeated, and Aldaric jumped on the ship and fled Chiss space as quickly as he could.
Finding the Brotherhood
Aldaric spent months following the clues that were written in the book that described the Brotherhood's history. Unfortunately, it described the Shadow Academy as being located on Eos with precious few hints as to its current location after the events of the Exodus. He read the book, again and again, hoping that there was something that was missed, but it was hopeless. He deduced that the Brotherhood had returned to the Antei System but there were no clues to its true location within the pages of the book. There was only one option left. Aldaric poured over star charts and decided on its most likely location and decided to let the force guide him there. He jumped to hyperspace without a hyperlane. Visions of approaching stars, planets, and other hazards flashed in his mind and he made the minor corrections to avoid them. He kept as much of his focus as he could manage on the thought of the Shadow Academy. After hours of intense concentration, he dropped out of hyperspace and looked out from the cockpit. Lyspair was in front of him, and he had finally arrived.
Like most of his species, Aldaric's most defining features are his dark blue skin and piercing red eyes with an average build. His blue-black hair is kept cut short and left to do its thing. His features look as if they were chiselled from marble with well-defined cheekbones and jaw. His only defining feature is a thin diagonal scar on his left cheek from the vibroblade wound he incurred during his escape from Csilla.
Aldaric is usually a very quiet individual. He tends to sit back and analyze the situation and those around him to gain as much information on the situation as he can. Once he does he will act decisively. He does his best to keep emotions out of the equation. His speech is cool and modulated and to the point. He comes off as cold and uncaring, but only because he calculates all of his actions beforehand to ensure the outcome he desires.
