Located on Yridia III, The Pyramid is a massive subterranean base that has served Clan Tarentum in one way or another since 33 ABY. First as the base of House Reinthaler and laboratory of the then House Tarentum, then as the base of the Spectre battle team. It now serves as the base of the Nekros Syndicate. Created by the Galactic Empire as a research and development laboratory, it had since been abandoned by the Imperials with the destruction of the Death Star over Endor. Then Quaestor Saitou Tarentae and then Aedile Raimi Mistwalker discovered the Pyramid, with help from Black Phoenix, while determining whether Yridia III would be a suitable base planet. However the Pyramid had remained sealed off since Ronovi Tavisaen’s departure from Yridian space. Some time after her death, Tavisaen’s spirit found its way back to the structure. After her spirit guided Solas Night-Thorn to create the Nekros Syndicate, he along with the members of his inner circle, recaptured the base.

Description

Summary

The Pyramid is made up of the old pyramidal structure and an extensive underground addition. It is nestled in the beginning of the densest of Yridia III's forests. The base cannot be spotted from space and is naturally protected from the planet's elements. From the ground, the Pyramid is a daunting structure yet matches with the dimness of the forest around it.

Below the ground is most of the base's most critical rooms and equipment. Offices as well as barracks and armories are located in the sub-level structure.

The Pyramid Floor Plan

Above Ground

Ground Floor

The First Floor houses a central lobby for visitors of the Syndicate as well as several additional rooms which offer logistics support and other services to visiting dignitaries or returning land-based expeditions. This floor also houses the office of the Pyramid's Intendant.

Second Floor

The Second Floor houses a complex Communications Center and its communications personnel. Many modifications have been made to the standard communications equipment including amplifiers to counterbalance Yridia III's rapidly changing atmospheric conditions.

Below Ground

Basement Floor 1

Floor B1 is accessible by a single lift tube. The tube is only accessible by those who have, or those who accompany, a person who knows the passcode which is obtained from the Soul of Nekros. These measures have been taken to assure security of files and data kept on Floor B1. B1 serves as the security center for the entire base. It also holds the brig.

Basement Floor 2

Floor B2 is accessible by three lift tubes and is dominated by the base's main hangar bay. The rest of the floor includes a control room for a network of arrays. It also houses an emergency elevator leading directly to the Hangar Bay should an attacker infiltrate the base.

Basement Floor 3

Floor B3 is by and far the largest of all the floors in the base and serves as the primary level for all House and Battleteam operations. A large central courtyard dominates the interior and serves as a primary gathering spot for meetings or social gatherings. It is also where the offices of the Soul of Nekros and the Inner Circle of the Syndicate are situated.

Section B3-East contains Security Offices, and the most available Conference Chambers. The Underworld Operations Offices are housed in this section and are overseen by the Will of Nekros. Also within this section is the Necromanic Sanctum, where the Soul of Nekros leads his Nekrosages, Necromancers, and their apprentices in the Necromanic Arts.

The Security Offices are for the base's security chief and his secretary. The Conference rooms are large rooms that can be used by various members and groups for the purpose of meetings.

Section B3-South consists of a barracks and a secondary weapons cache. The barracks serve as the quarters for all non-Force using personnel of the base and for those Dark Jedi that are not affiliated with the Battleteam. The barracks can hold up to 75 people. The weapons cache holds a variety of weapons from training sabers to small firearms and serves as the base's secondary source of weapons.

Section B3-North consists of Main Battle Team barracks and commons and two lift tubes. One tube connects to the leadership offices and is encrypted with the same security password, while the other is specially code locked and leads to the restricted Inner Sanctum of the base only accessible by Inner Circle members and designated visitors of high rank and importance.

The each of the battleteam barracks can hold up to 20 members and are customized to fit certain parameters established by the Syndicate. The Battleteam commons are a secure area where Syndicate members can review Syndicate and Tarentum plans and activities. Only select members outside of the core members can enter, unless otherwise designated.

Section B3-West consists of the Battle Arena control center and the base's armory. The Battle Arena control serves to coordinate events held in the Battle Arena. The Armory itself hold all of the Syndicate's main equipment, including strike team weapons and armor and heavy weapons and armor. The door is resilient to all weapons save lightsabers and certain heavy weapons and requires a code, DNA, and retinal scan to open.

Basement Floor 4

Floor B4 is split into two parts. The first is the Battle Arena which is the site for action in the base and the second is the Inner Sanctum.
