Nimble, capable, and extremely well-armed for its design, the Silent Scream is a useful fast-attack vessel capable of countering both starfighters and heavier tonnage ships. Silent Scream is a vessel in Clan Plagueis’ Ascendant Fleet. It is a Combat Hammerhead Corvette assigned to Task Force Besh.
Characteristics
Typical of its class, the Silent Scream is a sleek and heavily armed design renowned as much for its versatile nature as its ability to blunt typical starfighter tactics. Both atmosphere and void capable, the ship can easily support both ground and spaceborne battles in a number of roles. Thanks to a heavy armament of six quad laser cannon turrets, multiple light turbolasers, and four missile launchers, the vessel is a threat to almost any ship that it engages. The design makes it both a highly effective fighter platform and offers it the ability to threaten far larger vessels when operating as part of an attack group.

Structure
While protected only by average shielding and armour, its great maneuverability and speed gives the Silent Scream a noted edge in most battles. This suits its role extremely well, allowing it to rapidly reposition and redeploy when defending a fleet, and engaging in hit-and-fade raiding engagements. Requiring one-hundred-and-eleven crewmen to operate effectively, it requires a far higher number of personnel than most similar ships to operate effectively. Equally, it is only capable of hosting forty passengers, a lower number than that of similar ships within the Ascendant Fleet.

Bridge
Crew
The bridge of the Silent Scream is positioned at the front of the vessel.  Occupying the bow of the bridge is a large viewscreen, under which a row of consoles is arranged to control the vessel.  Four chairs are arranged along the consoles for the bridge crew.  Behind the array of consoles is another, much smaller consoles.  Behind this console is the captain’s chair.  A co-captain’s chair has been installed to the port-aft side of the captain’s chair.  All the chairs can swivel to allow the occupant easy access in and out of their seat.  The captain’s chair in particular has been modified with a plush, deep red upholstery and golden trim.

Crew Quarters
Directly below the bridge is the captain’s quarters.  A small, private room complete with refresher, desk, wardrobe, and bed.  Directly above the bridge is the VIP quarters.  A room often left unoccupied is reserved for when a special commander or VIP is aboard the Silent Scream.  It is nearly identical to the captain’s quarters in design.  Currently it sports high-class decor and luxury additions such as silk sheets and upholstered furniture.  Both of these quarters are accessible via a turbolift in the rear of a bridge with the appropriate passcode.

In the middle section of the ship are the quarters for the rest of the crew.  Basic bunks with a few refreshers between them to share, the crew of the Silent Scream is assured the base comforts that they need to do their jobs right.  Also within the crew quarters is the kitchen.  Although there is not a large eating area, there is a bar and a few stools, as well as a couple of tables provided.  Droids take care of food preparation and disposal.
It has inherited most of its crew from its predecessor after they abandoned ship, barring the previous Captain, Yamret Ohli, who went down with the original.

Other
Between the bridge and the crew quarters is the security headquarters.  This is where the head of security resides and is where the marines onboard the Silent Scream are coordinated from.  The headquarters, besides serving as an office for the security head, a brig, and a weapon storage facility, has a small war room.  This is where boarding operations and defenses can be planned and organized and can serve as an emergency secondary bridge should the bridge become unusable.

In the aft section of the Silent Scream is the storage area.  This is where most of the supplies and any cargo are held.  The storage area is relatively small and cannot hold a lot, but it usually has enough room to hold at a single starfighter if desired.  Below the storage area is the engine room.  This is where the engineers and technicians of the Silent Scream can gain access to the ship’s engines and machinery.

Role
Role
Primarily the Silent Scream will act as a point defense vessel for the Dominant, intercepting and eliminating hostile fighters or bombers that attempt to make attack runs on Task Force Besh’s flagship. However, it can also act independently as a skirmisher and reconnaissance vessel.  It rarely functions on its own when it is expecting combat, but for non-combat missions can be used as a long-range transport or escort vessel.  The role it has within the Task Force is flexible enough, however, to allow it to adapt to many different scenarios.
During major engagements, the Silent Scream operates as a part of a wider anti-starfighter screen along with other Raider II-class corvettes. Maintaining a close proximity to the larger cruisers, it helps to blunt attacks by groups reliant upon large waves of smaller attack craft. This leaves it working close to the fleet in a patrol or defensive pattern, while the role of recon efforts is left to other vessels.

Nimble, capable, and extremely well-armed for its design, the Silent Scream is a useful fast-attack vessel capable of countering both starfighters and heavier tonnage ships. One of several such ships of its class within the fleet, it has proven itself capable in both singular attack roles and working as part of a larger battle-group. Crew

It has inherited most of its crew from its predecessor after they abandoned ship, barring the previous Captain, Yamret Ohli, who went down with the original.

Bridge Crew

 • Captain: Captain Kelmiri Holvin is currently the captain of the Silent Scream. A middle-aged female Human, she runs the ship with efficiency and an eye for the small details. Her years of service with the crew as the previous Operations Manager have earned her respect amongst her servicemen.
 • Helmsman: Senior Lieutenant Jorch Elwren acts as the Helmsman of the Silent Scream. A male human, as Helmsman he is expected to operate the navigational computer of the Silent Scream, including sublight and hyperspace travel.
 • Comm Officer: Lieutenant Lillux Puvv acts as the Comm Officer of the Silent Scream. A female Sullustan, the Comm Officer is in charge of outgoing and incoming communications. They also operate the sensor suit of the Silent Scream.
 • Combat Technician: Lieutenant Commander Potosk Thesk acts as the Combat Technician of the Silent Scream. A male Weequay, the Combat Technician operates all the weapon and shielding systems of the Silent Scream, including the ship’s targeting computer. Lt. Commander Thesk is also the First Mate of the Silent Scream.
 • Operations Manager: Ensign Vazohm Lah acts as the Operations Manager of the Silent Scream. A male Muun, the Operations Manager is in charge of monitoring and allocating the ship’s resources as needed. These resources include the ship’s power levels, personnel, supplies, or anything else that may be needed.

Other Personnel

 • Head of Security: Senior Lieutenant Bruq Oksesss is the Head of Security for the Silent Scream. A male Trandoshan, the Head of Security is in charge of any interpersonal conflicts that arise aboard the ship, repelling or arranging boarding operations, and managing the dozen or so marines that staff the Silent Scream.
 • Chief Engineer: Lieutenant Tomal Barcov is the Chief Engineer for the Silent Scream. A male Human, the Chief Engineer is in charge of organizing and running the ship’s engineer and technician staff and keeping the vessel in top working form.

Role

During major engagements, the Silent Scream operates as a part of a wider anti-starfighter screen along with other Raider II-class corvettes. Maintaining a close proximity to the larger cruisers, it helps to blunt attacks by groups reliant upon large waves of smaller attack craft. This leaves it working close to the fleet in a patrol or defensive pattern, while the role of recon efforts is left to other vessels.
