The 1st Taldryan Legion is primary organizational element underneath the Taldryan Expansionary Force and serves as the instrument of the Strategic Operations Council when ground based campaigns need to be prosecuted.
History
The Legion was born out of the ashes of the traitorous attack by Grand Master Jac Cotelin upon Karufr. In the aftermath of the attack, new Consul Cassandra Oriana Tyris seeking to create a more offensive minded ground attack unit, re-organized the surviving personnel and equipment of the Taldryan Army into the 1st Taldryan Legion.
Organization
The 1st Legion is configured as a rapid deployment force consisting of two armored and two assault regiments. In addition to the line regiments there is a Headquarters section to oversee legion administration along an aerospace battalion and transportation company.
Each of the armored regiments are organized into two armored battalions, an infantry battalion and a support battalion including a regimental headquarters to oversee the administrative needs of the regiment.
