Introduction

The Majestic-Class Heavy Cruiser Fury is a heavy cruiser in service to the Clan Scholae Palatinae Fleet, currently assigned to the Rancor Horde Task Force. In practice, the warship is the second most heavily deployed vessel in the Clan Fleet, right after her sister ship, the Basilisk.

Vessel Info

The Majestic-Class is a recent New Republic design which was meant to go up against a Star Destroyer at range and win. Using advanced targeting systems, this class can stand-off at range and hit their targets, forcing them to come in close to land the equivalent amount of firepower back. Excellent speed and maneuverability combined with heavy shielding and armor allow the ship to more than fulfill their intended role.

History

Acquisition

The Fury and her sister ships, the Basilisk and the Adenn all were captured along with the Excidium II from the Republic Engineering Corporation shipyards in the Mon Calamari system by the 29th Special Operations Platoon of Charlie Company from the 17th Legion during the events of Operation: Reclamation. Shortly after it was stolen, it rendezvoused with its' new crew and made it safely to Clan space, reinforcing the two new Star Destroyers present, the Indomitable and the Warspite.

Service to the Palpatines

The ship is currently commanded by Captain Gabrielle Kaal, previous gunnery officer of the Excidium. Trained by Admiral Ail’en Sommetra, she shares her cautious nature, and is pretty much a great contrast to Captain Salina Duval of the Basilisk. Captain Kaal also shares the Admirals' passion for her crew, and is quite protective over them. An excellent teacher herself, she spends a lot of time between her duties as the Captain of her ship as well as an instructor at the Clan Naval Training Facility. As such, many (If not all) of the junior and senior midshipmen come aboard the Fury to fulfill their shipboard training cruise requirements. As such, the crew is unlikely to get past its' Green rating for quite some time.

Deployment

During periods of large-scale combat, the Fury always serves as the counterpart of the Basilisk, handling flank security or flanking maneuvers. Much like the Basilisk, the ship also is tasked with the safeguarding of important cargo runs, but is usually spared any diplomatic duties. Already the ship has seen a bit of action, easy chasing off a few half-hearted attempts by pirates to mess with Clan cargo runs.
