Darth Pravus, reputed murderer of Sarin, was a potent Force user and gifted practitioner of deception. A human male, he maintained multiple personae throughout his life including the womanizing and alcoholic Jedi Master Waylen Black. An acknowledged psychopath, Pravus was incapable of empathy and lacked any form of conscience concerning the well being of others. Ruthless, manipulative, and callous, Darth Pravus sought any means necessary to achieve his ends, no matter the cost.

Biography

Early life

The story of Waylen Black was one familiar to most Jedi and even scandalous paparazzi across the galaxy. Born in 1 ABY, Waylen Black was orphaned by unknown parents and given over to a charitable organization for wayward children. Left relatively unscathed by the Galactic Civil War, Waylen developed uncanny luck that his stewards believed to be associated with latent Force abilities. In 11 ABY, the The Jedi Master Luke Skywalker would form the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin IV and three years later Waylen would arrive to begin his studies.

Placed under the care and tutelage of Kam Solusar, Waylen adapted quickly to life as a Jedi and his athletic prowess translated into an early affinity for the dangerous Niman style of lightsaber combat. Despite a competitive streak to outpace his peers, Waylen formed a wild reputation for enjoying the female support personnel on Yavin IV and an even worse reputation for loving the distilled hooch brewed utilizing X-Wing hyperdrive coils. Chastised often and early, the young Jedi Padawan found himself in more than one argument concerning the chastity of many young ladies.

Caamas Document Crisis

Despite his wild ways, in 18 ABY, the newly Knighted Waylen Black participated in the final stages of the Caamas Document Crisis and would honorably serve against Imperial Remnant forces prior to their surrender in 19 ABY at the Bastion Accords. This would be the first time Black’s name would appear on the holonet as reports indicated he wooed and seduced an Imperial Moff’s daughter and wife within a forty-eight hour period. The scandal would see Black returned to the Jedi Praxeum and eventually put on Watchman duty in his home sector of Corellia.

Yuuzhan Vong War

Following a relatively quiet period of six years, Black emerged as one of the initial Jedi to confront the Yuuzhan Vong threat at the Battle of Dubrillion in 25 ABY. Scattered across the galaxy battling the Vong, Black would serve on strike teams under the command of Kyle Katarn until the Second Battle of Coruscant in 29 ABY. Following the war, Waylen appeared briefly once again in the Galactic scandal magazines by dating a senior diplomat from the planet of Kuat. Their relationship caught the attention of galactic media due to a drunken argument at a high end Coruscanti night club.

Darth Pravus is erratic, cunning, and remorseless in his combat style and usage of the Force. Unconcerned with collateral damage, rules of engagement, or historical precedence, Darth Pravus will use any means necessary to gain an advantage in combat. Darth Pravus is ambidextrous and equally skilled with each hand resulting in his expert use of dual lightsaber combat. Possessing unnatural dexterity, he seeks to confuse his opponents by ignoring standardizations of lightsaber sequences taught by Jedi and Sith alike. Striking from odd angles and awkward stances, Darth Pravus seeks victory through cunning, not sheer strength.

Darth Pravus possesses a subtle understanding of the Force and an almost instantaneous ability to summon it to his will. Trained to believe he is the greatest Force user in the galaxy, Pravus will utilize his exhaustive pool of abilities in unique and unusual ways simply to display his superiority over a foe.

Darth Pravus selects his attire for the occasion or persona that he is displaying at any given time. He is known to wear immaculate white Jedi Robes cut in the monastic style favored in the Old Republic era. These simple robes are comfortable, long flowing, and consist of an overtunic, an undertunic, a cloak, a hood, and a comfortable pair of white leather tomuon boots.

Darth Pravus wears a second set of attire for combat consisting of black and gold beskar plated armor modeled after ancient Sith designs. The armor features a mask with intricate Sith runic symbols etched across the faceplate.
